Such a shame this place is closing down, some of the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. The staff are so nice as well. This will be a loss to Dudley.

I don't enjoy rating it so low as the rest of our party were all happy with food. Unfortunately, i wasn't. The starter was fine when it came to the main course 3 of us want the fish and chips only to be told they only had 2 fish left ( this was 7.30pm ) so I opted to have the sirloin steak, when it came it was like a piece of shoe leather, I sent it back, waiter was apologetic and I waited for replacement, unfortunately the rest of the party had almost finished their deserts before my steak returned the waiter said he had asked the chef to cook it less this time as it may have been over cooked before, when it arrived the first cut was fine but on the second cut the meat was pink and the juices were pink as well ( I know its "supposed" to be like that but I cant stand it hence why I have well done. So I asked for a box to take home as it was now after 9 pm. The staff were really apologetic and took the steak off the bill. But it had ruined the meal. Like I say, the staff were brilliant. ( The steak when I got it home and cooked it was 50% gristle and the dogs ended up with it

Omg what a fabulous place food fantastic generous portions staff friendly but not overpowering such a shame it may close really need to got people in fantastic value for money don’t need to be eating a show at town hall to eat in

Travelled here from London on 31/7/24 for a family birthday celebration, The table was booked for 7.30pm, and booking was confirmed 30/7/24. Arrived at the restaurant with bags full of gifts, flowers and a huge cake. To find the restaurant closed, with a sign near the door to say 'closed this evening due to a private function'. So we was stood outside trying to call the restaurant to ask what is going on for over 30 mins, to which nobody answered the phone. Absolutely shocking! Causing a huge inconvenience to the young lady celebrating her birthday, having to then make alternative arrangements right there and then with other restaurants. Which resulted in us having to then travel to Birmingham in order to attempt to enjoy the rest of the evening. Not the kind of service you expect, especially when travelling such a distance. The lack of communication from the restaurant who should of at least had the decency to call and cancel the booking is well and truly beyond poor and unprofessional and extremely inconsiderate. Its such a shame as previous reviews made this place sound very appealing!

My friend arranged for the three ex army gals to meet up in Brooke’s. This is my first time visiting. The hospitality was great and the food was amazing! Large portions … very tasty, especially the dessert. A huge thanks to Jayne, who looked after us in the afternoon.

We went for lunch during the week, it was really quiet. They had a decent collection of drinks. Menu had a great range of food. The american stack burger was slightly too greasy for me but overall really nice. Our server Josh was nice, really attentive and professional. Nice clean interior, I just hope this place gets the credit it deserves and keeps a high standard. Dudley needs more of these places!

The place was grand, in all. Amazing service- regular check ups by the staff. The starters were very filling. The main course( grill) , however, was a bit greasy- delicious nonetheless.

I visited in 20th June 2024 with my 2 sisters, my sister reserved a table which was ready when we arrived. We were sat and given a menu,we all had the mushroom starter and it didn't disappoint it was lovely and creamy with plenty of bread to dip could have been a main meal in itself. I had the turkey schnitzel it came with small greens and chips, portion was big and it was perfect, my one sister had fish, chips homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce and it was fresh and as big as the plate,. my younger sister had the chicken burger that came with fries and side salad, it's was again huge portions. It was a good price and staff were really lovely and a nice atmosphere would recommend

Wow! Really impressed with this place. Lovely decor, nice atmosphere, excellent service and amazing food. We attended before an event at the town hall. The menu was the pre show menu and had a good choice of starters, mains and desserts. We all opted for 2 courses for £19. We were a table of 4 adults and had the following dishes: Mushroom fricassee x2 Goats cheese and spinach quiche Chicken wings Turkey schnitzel x 2 Steak and ale pie Fish and chips (fish of the day was pollock) All food was amazing and very well presented. Service was faultless. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend 👌

If I'm honest, I was not expecting too much ! Would really recommend and have to say pleasantly surprised 🙀 Service - impeccable Food, well presented, lovely crockery, fresh veg - not frozen. The staff are so attentive, find it hard to believe your are in Dudley, service and food would give any Birmingham restaurant or country pub a run for it's money. We will return. Had a lovely day with my family and left feeling full, ate some lovely food and drank a really good bottle of Savignon Blanc wine ! Please go to this restaurant.. ...nice to eat goud food locally. Again a beautiful Sunday lunch Presentation, quality of food and taste - really lovely Still a choice of veg, three pots with roasted parsnips, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, cabbage and carrots. Gravy ......so tasty. Puddings - we had blackberry crumble - nice I had a baked cheese cake, different. Enjoyed. Just one small criticism could have done with a little more poached fruit to accompany. Will again visit. My hubby wants lunch their again next week Again staff are so polite. Even coffees were nice.

Didn't have any food but the people next to us did and it looked really nice. I didn't catch the name of our waitress but she was very attentive.. molly was making our cocktail and I've got to say they were amazing!! I've been on the look out for a new cocktail bar and I think I've found it We will definitely be back ! Service like I say was exceptional. Well done guys 🥰

Me and my family had Sunday dinner on 14th April 2024. The experience from start to finish was excellent. Initial table service, ordering and the time in which food came to the table was perfect. All meals were fresh, hot and tasty. Good range of bar drinks available. Clean facilities and toilets. Special thanks to Joshua and Jody.

The food is really nice I loved the whole atmosphere. There wasn't a lot in regards to the menu but truthfully not needed as the good is a good standard. I would definitely eat here again and the price is reasonable.

1st time at Brooks bar after family recommendation , The Sunday lunch was excellent, 4 off us enjoyed the beef dinner , lovely freshly cooked vegetables beef was tender and cooked perfectly for our liking very good portion size ,Deserts were excellent also Great service in the very nice surroundings ,will return for sure

Popped in here for a late Sunday lunch before heading to the cinema. Really nice inside - lots of tables and an inviting atmosphere. Service was fantastic - everything done with a smile and very quick all round. Food was sensational - soup and wings for starters which were both excellent. This was followed by the chicken and beef roast dinners. Wow!! Very generous portions and the vegetables served separately in their own dishes was a lovely touch. Food was amongst the best I've had - just a shame that our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we couldn't manage puddings l!! Thoroughly recommended - we will definitely be back

A little disappointed today. Felt slightly over priced as meals the same as a normal Sunday. Chicken lunch (£13.50 on a normal Sunday) and either pudding or starter £27.00 for mother's day Veg was served on plate, was not as separate accompaniment. Last time the carrot and parsnips were glazed and a lovely cauliflower cheese.today just frozen peas and sliced carrots and a roasted parsnip. I had raspberry mouse, which tated like cream with a bit of raspberry blended in. My mom had lemon tart which she ate the lemon filling, however left pastry case as rock hard. We did get a bottle of prosecco complimentary, as a token as had a bit of difficulty in booking to start with. Staff are very polite and professional. The place has a buzz about it today and quite busy. Our bill was £172.00... for four two courses and 1 fish and chips The lamb dinner was nice and think that maybe could justify price for this !

An absolute shambolic joke in Dudley, food is mainly like reheated food service provisions done very badly and presented badly. Unfortunately the menu is not in keeping with the current decade the staff look like they really don’t want to be there or want you there. Food was fantastic, and you could tell it was freshly cooked, fresh, tasty and hot. It was really busy when we visited with a large party but this didn’t effect the service. Everyone was very attentive. A great place for a lovely meal in Dudley.

We have visited four or five times. The standard of the food is first class. There is a good choice and it is always hot and nicely served. A special mention for the serving service - they are first class.

Great food, exceptional service!

We chose the bistro for a pre Christmas get together for a group of work colleagues. I can’t praise this place highly enough. The staff were attentive, welcoming and eager to ensure that everyone was happy and that the night went well. The good was excellent and very good value and I will definitely be back!

Food was delicious and well presented with a good selection of perfectly cooked vegetables.The staff were very polite and helpful and the service was excellent even though we were a large Christmas party. Good selection of cocktails to choose from , which were also delicious. We are planning to visit again very soon.

Ordered steak and chips. The chips had little burned bits all over them like they were cooked in a dirty fryer. Didn't taste very nice! I ordered the steak medium rare. Its was a bit over but not a problem. The biggest issue was the rocket in the side salad wasn't washed and looked old, I had several bits of grit in my teeth while chewing, had to spit it out. Such a simple dish, I would have expected everything to be perfect. Even the peppercorn sauce was tasteless. Not enough pepper.

We booked a table for 6 at 5.30pm before show started at 7.30. Beautiful restaurant, drinks and starters arrived quickly. However, our main courses didn’t arrive until we chased them up at 7pm. We then had a major rush to eat before the show started. We had to have dessert in the interval as our table was kept for us. I had shepherds pie which was delicious. Food was excellent standard and great prices. We were given a discount due to our wait. Would this put me off? No definitely not. I think this was a glitch on the night. Went for a pre show meal and what a little gem we found, From the moment we arrived all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly (especially our waitress, Thank You Mollie) not a large choice on the pre show menu but if the food that is on there is as good as we got then a big choice is not needed, couldn’t fault either of the starters, the mains ( probably the best steak I have eaten) or the desserts. Will definitely be returning and can highly recommend.

Booked a pre-show meal for six on Saturday night. Must say was pleasantly surprised with the entrance and the restaurant as a whole., Very impressed with the menu, and the prices were fantastic. The quality of food was fabulous and a good choice. Big shout out to the manager and the young lad that served us, there was a slight hiccup with the order, however, it was sorted and dealt with very very professionally. Would definitely go back

Just popped in on off-chance, staff fantastic very friendly and welcoming. Food cooked to perfection, seems to improved since my last visit a few weeks ago. Bar staff, a lad called Dom and our waiter John made us feel very welcome, couldn't do enough for us as I'm very fussy with my food but they got the chef to do exactly what I asked for, fantastic, will definitely be back.

Our party of 14 had a lovely experience at Brooke's Bistro this week. Communication was great throughout - from amending the booking to pre-ordering our food without any problem. On the night, despite them being very busy, we were promptly served with well presented, generous portions of tasty food from their Xmas menu. The complementary glass of prosecco for everyone and crackers on the table was a nice touch. We look forward to a return visit in the new year.

Nice venue, staff were friendly but not very attentive. Christmas menu looked excellent but the food was bland, presentation was a bit ruff and ready. Chicken terrine was over seasoned and had a funny texture, leek bhaji was raw in the middle. Turkey maincourse was good although the roasties needed seasoning and the gravy was watery. The profiteroles tasted odd and not very nice. Too much cherry coulis All in all it was definitely style over substance. Heard great things about this place but didn't live up to expectations.

We had a pre show dinner last Saturday. The food was of high quality, I was really impressed. The service was professional and friendly. Spotlessly clean restaurant, lovely decor, tables and dinner ware. We dine out regularly, the food was definitely high end at very reasonable cost. We are returning again and recommending to our family and friends.

We travelled from the northwest to visit the Black Country Museum. (We used to live in Sedgley but moved north 25 years ago.) We went to the Fellows but the restaurant was shut. A lovely couple recommended Brooke's Bistro and we were not disappointed. This place didnt exist when we used to live in the area. It was comfortable, welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions were so generous we could not finish our mains. The young gentleman who served us was very friendly and courteous. I would love to return when we go back to the museum to see the new 1960s exhibition.

Went for a pre show meal we had two courses and were only in there for 45 minutes, felt really pressured and rushed to eat and go. No sooner had I finished my starter the plate was removed and the main meal was there. It's not cheap to eat in there so what should have been a nice dining experience was marred by staff rushing you, I'll definitely give this place a miss the next show I go to.

Great choice of food for a reasonable price. The mains were lovely, the desserts were amazing. The best Crème brûlée I have had and I tried my husbands baked cheesecake which was also delicious. The service was efficient and friendly even on a busy night.

I would like to thank the team at Brooke’s Bistro for providing the perfect venue for my daughter’s 18th birthday family meal this evening. Everyone of the 13 guests, the birthday girl and myself have commented how their perfectly portion sized meals were delicious and well presented. The location was easy to get to with convenient parking and easily accessible to even those with walking difficulties. The staff were courteous, more than helpful, polite and efficient through the evening. We will most certainly be dining here again in the near future and will also be sure to recommend to our friends, colleagues and family. PS. We have no photos to share because we dived straight in as it looked so delicious and we couldn’t wait to start!

A gem in the heart of dudley. Opposite former museum and linked to town hall making it convenient for performances. Impressive archway entrance. Modern clean bright interior. Good value food and drinks with special offers. Afternoon tea first Saturday month. Host monthly poetry breakfasts. Enjoyed freshly prepared hot lunches. Recommended.

My wife popped in for a weekday lunch with friends and told me how lovely it was so we went for Sunday lunch, the bistro is beautifully decorated and has a great atmosphere, the staff are superb - (especially John who looked after us), the food was excellent and we rate it highly, we shall be regular customers for lunch and evening dining. It could do with some parking as there are weekday restrictions and limited spaces available roadside but otherwise fantastic - well done everyone! As someone who remembers Dudley in its heyday it's great to see something a bit upmarket in a lovely setting (and boy does Dudley need it!)

From Paul Farley. Every body deserves a second chance. We had soup. To start which was excellent. To follow fish and chips the fish was in a light and crispy batter the chips were nice and chunky. Pie and spring onion mash. The pie was full of steak the mash was just right the extra jug of gravy was a nice touch. All in all the meal was superb 5 star. Staff were friendly and attentive service was excellent we will return.

Visited today with my mom and brother after my mom was told how great the food was. I had the vegan burger which was amazing!! We all enjoyed the food, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the building is beautiful. Can't wait to visit again :)

I ordered fish and chips. It was one of the best I had tasted. The chips were chunky, crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside. The fish was huge with a light batter. The accompanying mint peas and chunky tartar sauce were delicious. The service was brilliant.

On 29th April 2023, my fiance and I had a Kings and Queens extravaganza at the Brooke's Bar and Bistro, the evening was absolutely amazing!!!! The venue was perfect, along with the grande red carpet entrance, which ultimately set the scene for the arrival of the guests. Inside was beautiful with a warm ambiance which complemented the theme. The food was exceptional with first class serving, the attention to detail was faultless. Overall, the evening was a success, the atmosphere was sensational throughout the whole evening.  I would like to give a sincere and heartfelt thankyou to all of the staff at the Bistro Bar. I would definitely recommend the Bistro for weddings, parties for all occasions 🙏🏼

What a fantastic place! London quality food in little old Dudley! The ambiance is amazing and truly the food is spectacular! The best Sunday lunch I've ever had and I've had a few! The staff are brilliant and so helpful! Do not miss out on this one it is wonderful!

Me and my friend attended here for a catch up. She had been recommended Brooke's for a nice meal out, and I would recommend this place too! The service was great, nice and friendly, more than happy to help. I had the steak which was delightful. The brownie was for pudding, which was also tasty. I would happily return here in the future!

I have now visited 3 times and although the menu is not vast it is always tasty, well presented and piping hot. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. Little oasis in Dudley town centre.

Poor service- slow and very inattentive. Food was ok but sandwich I ordered should have had red onion,, it didn’t 🙁the chutney was overpowering, sticky and applied too liberally. Cheese slices were from a packet: I got the bad end of the straw today because we love it usually 🙁. No one wants a soggy baguette 🥖

Had a bite to eat here before seeing the Celine Dion tribute act that was on at the town hall. Lovely venue, warm friendly welcome, staff were happy to help and had good knowledge of the menu. We are from the pre-show menu and really enjoyed what we had. Starter's: I had the duck orange parfait which was very nice could have done with one more piece of bread though. Hubby to be had creamy garlic mushrooms rooms which he really enjoyed Mains: I had the chicken and ham which came with mash and green beans with a rich flavourful gravy. Lovely melt in the mouth pastry, plenty of filling Hubby to be had steak and chips, Cooked to perfection, nice and juicy seasoned well. Dessert: I had fruit crumble with custard the crumb was the best crumb I've had in a while, gorgeous custard too. Hubby to be had sticky toffee pudding and judging by the mumbled groans of appreciation and huge smile on his face was very tasty and just as gorgeous as my crumble. Highly recommend this place. I'd gladly travel back over from Preston just for the crumble alone
