Beluga Persian Kitchen And Grill in Birmingham

We came here before a gig, originally wanting to go to another restaurant nearby, which ended up being closed for a function. Luckily we stumbled across Beluga and we weren't disappointed. Staff were very friendly and food was hearty and flavoursome. Lovely restaurant environment. We will definitely pop back in future.

What a find! Step inside and you wouldn't know you were next to a busy main road, such a relaxing atmosphere. Lovely decor and very clean and the owner was an amazing host, nothing too much trouble. Extensive menu and the food was excellent, cooked beautifully, excellent presentation, you must try the Persian tea. I would highly recommend Beluga Persian Kitchen & Grill if you want to enjoy a relaxing, very enjoyable meal.

My friend John and I went on Sunday 2nd April The food was excellent served by a lovely lady Negar who was only to happy to advise on what the dishes were. We both had starters mains and desert. I had the persian stew lovely and tender with basmalti rice. My friend had the lamb and chicken kebabs he said the he liked the salad and rice with this option. The desert was a natural sweet followed by the persian tea which was rose and again a natural sweetness no sugar required in my opinion beautiful! . I had left my purse behind and Negar had attemted to contact me. I telephoned as soon I a knew I had not got it. She was so kind and wouldn't take a gift from me for her kindness I insisted she had a thankyou so I said well put it to a charity of your choosing. she was so honest genuine and pleased I now got it. Thank you Negar. John and I will return when we are in Birmingham.

Fantastic traditional meals in a lovely friendly environment. Great advice on the food and selections. Wish I had room to fit in a pudding. Could bring your own alcoholic drinks. Very enjoyable

My husband, our son and I dined here on New Years Eve 2022. It really is a place that when you walk in you know you chose the right place. A friendly greeting and the menu explained. It was a busy night as they were catering for a large group but the hostess Neygaar(?) was great at multi tasking and making sure all the diners had everything they needed. The food here is delicious, the right portion size and cooked to perfection. This was our first time at this restaurant but I will definetley be back with friends and family very soon. Thank you!

Have driven past and always thought should give the place a go. Went this evening and sad to say shan't be returning. Very friendly person serving us, and reading the reviews thought be a good experience. However, was really disappointed. Starters were okay - had better in another Persian place in Birmingham. My main, described as a skewer of grilled cubes of marinated lamb fillet was very poor. Did not actually get served cubes of lamb, certainly did not taste or smell grilled (could hear the ping of a microwave - we were only people in for most of our meal, as it was early). Sister had prawns which were nice size, had been charred but I think were reheated in microwave as again, did not taste or smell of a freshly grilled dish (ping goes the microwave again). I know that it is tough for businesses and I can forgive small portions of brililant food but this was not very good. Maybe I was unlucky, and I picked the wrong thing as other pics in the reviews did not show the lamb dish I had.

Really impressive Persian food. Fresh, tasty and healthy to eat. Friendly and welcoming hostess. The food came out reasonably quick too.

As soon as we stepped through the door we knew we had picked the right place to eat. From the decor to the staff and the atmosphere to the food everything was perfect. We had the mixed starter and mixed grill for four and everything we were served was amazing quality and tasted fantastic. Just a shame we don’t live locally or this would become a firm favourite

A nice, laid back setting with good food at reasonable prices. The staff was friendly, and the little dog they had at the restaurant was cute and well-behaved. The baklava was delicious!

Absolutely exceptional food from the wonderful Nigqr and fantastic service from Nilou . Nilou described all the ingredients and recipes and their origins in Persia and Nigar came and spoke to us afterwards. This isn’t Persian food you will find anywhere else unless you are shown hospitality in people’s homes . Go and try their food. It’s a revelation and they offer that unmistakable Persian hospitality . Absolutely wonderful xxx also thank her have a sweet little dog

Worst place very took 25 minutes for starters and 20 mins extra for dinner worst place I’ve ever been staff are rude and the kitchen is backwards

Well it’s certainly on par if not better than Shiraaz excellent quality meat. Good customer service. Servings are very generous. The platter for 4 is for 6 adults easily. The mixed starter platter also great value and variety. It’s a must.

Had takeaway from here before and it was amazing but the food when dining in is even better. Great customer service by the waitress and the food was 10/10 will definitely be returning.
