The best restaurants in West Midlands

Brilliant Hotel, close to city centre with everything within walking distance. Recently refurbished with comfortable beds. Good cooked breakfast in the morning, glad I didn't take on board other reviews, people do love a Moan!!

Narrowboat In was recommended to us by the owner of the lodge we were staying at so thought we would give it a try. We weren't disappointed - a warm welcome awaited us -Martin was friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. The menu has a good choice of dishes - I had lasagne with garlic bread and a salad that was without doubt the freshest salad I have ever had in a pub. I did order a side dish of chips but the portions were so generous I really didn't need them. My partner had gammon and chips with egg and pineapple. The food was absolutely delicious - we were asked if we would like desert - I would have loved one, had my eye on the lemon merangue but was just too full. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area - if we lived nearer it would become our local!

Lovely lunch of gluten free toasties today. Came with salad, coleslaw and crisps. Dogs welcome. Knocked one star off as we wanted a gluten free cake but they were next to gluten containing cakes with no covers on to prevent contamination. They were in a separate area for cakes for those with dietary needs but I couldn't see that the utensils used for gluten free weren't also used for the other cakes in that section, some of which did contain gluten.

My go to curry hours. Sitting in or takeaway is always 10/10 but I do prefer sitting in as the setting is so pretty. The Staff can’t do enough for you and the food is excellent! Best curry in Birmingham

Have had meals there a few times now. Good selection available. Portions are rather small. Food was tasty. It's Halal. Will recommend.

Had a Bacon and Mushroom Sandwich,it was one of the best I have had in ages .You had loads of Bacon and mushrooms ,it was absolutely gorgeous . Wasn’t greasy either like some places can be . The coffee was also one of the best I have had in a long time . I written this review because I think it was best value for money and by far better than a lot of the expensive restaurants around. We were a large group celebrating a family birthday and the service could not have been better. So friendly and attentive and even took on babysitting duties! Food was fantastic as always. Highly recommend the chicken tikka dhansak.

Have been before with family and always enjoyed our food. Today was no exception. Just my husband and I today. We had faggots peas and chips. Most enjoyable and excellent value for money. Would have loved a sweet but had no room for one.

Nice clean cafe friendly staff and produce tasty but £6 for a bacon & egg sandwich, come on I feel like I was mugged. Full English in Manifold pub 200 yds away £8 and worth it .

The newly refurbished Mill has opened a terrific restaurant with superb food. We had the slow cooked belly pork and Shropshire chicken which were to die for. Superb tasting food served in a great atmosphere by attentive and knowledgeable staff. By far the best restaurant in the area. Try it out- but be quick - this place is going to be the place to go in Dudley.
