The best restaurants in West Midlands

Our first visit to the Ostler restaurant after recommendations from friends and what a lovely surprise it was. We couldn’t fault a single thing, from the friendly greeting at reception, being escorted to our table and the service from there on in was impeccable. The menu was varied and both our starters and main meals were cooked to perfection. It was the best crispy pork that I’ve ever eaten and as it’s a favourite of mine I’ve had quite a few. It’s a ‘traditional’ hotel restaurant but the menu has something for everyone and I’d happily recommend it to anyone. Looking forward to sampling the Christmas menu soon.

Love the food and the staff here, delicious pints too! The wine could be colder but I don’t hold this against them ;-)

Lovely friendly boozer!. Great selection, friendly locals and nice place to have spot of lunch or just a few pints. Deffo go-back.

We went here on a spur of the moment decision, having had the place recommended by friends. We weren’t disappointed. Great food served by friendly and obliging staff in nice surroundings (an old pub sympathetically decorated). Very reasonably priced too. What’s not to like!

No vodka, they say Dave, no the vodka is just sold out. They really like us, Garv. MENTAL.

So delicious! Went in for brunch/late breakfast, we had double bacon,sausage&egg oatcakes. Cooked perfectly! My only downpoint is the seating area could of done with a mop of the floor. Returning very soon! A bonus point for the free chocolate pikelets!x

Had a lovely time. Food was great and the service was brilliant. Everyone was smiling and happy which made our visit more enjoyable and relaxed. Will definitely be returning soon.

I think this is some of the best chinese food ive ever eaten, i went with some of my work colleagues, the customer service was a cut above the rest, the lady serving us was lovely, and the place was very authentic, it is quite hidden so make sure not to miss it, if you are in newcastle under lyme this place is 100% worth a visit

Visited on Sunday. The bar man was so rude and obnoxious, definitely in the wrong profession. Won't be back. Such a shame a its a cracking little bar.

Friendly 7 pleasant young lady behind till. Had takeaway pizzas, seafood and vegetarian both were heaped with cheese and toppings, served piping hot in takeaway boxes Very impressed

Having passed Cafe India lots of times on the A5,we decided to try it for the first time. Absolutely fantastic. From the welcome to the wonderful starter dips and poppadoms to the excellent mains. Will definitely be back and can recommend it for anyone wanting a superb authentic Indian meal.

Popped in for the first time on a lunch break. Very friendly and helpful staff, a nice vibe, and the food was fantastic. Definitely will visit again!

Each time we go to this pub, we wonder how they can be so consistent with the quality of the food and service, they must have one good team.
