Really lovely evening. The food was amazing. Excellent service & good value . Very clean. Would recommend to anyone.

Booked a table for Sunday 6th June. Greeting was friendly. Menu has lots of house specials as well as the usual curry house fare. We ordered and waited a while for the food but not an unreasonable time. Quality was excellent.Warning, no alcohol for sale, you need to take your own and there is a per person corkage charge. Did not bother us as w don't drink alcohol. Soft drinks could be a lower price but the food was very reasonable. Only visiting on holiday but we will be sure to return before heading home.

Lamb tikka starte, 3 measly cold pieces of lamb. Ordered 4 poppadums, got three. Got my main course wrong. Very, very poor meal. Won't be going for a takeaway again. Abysmal.

Had meal here with friend last night. The quality of food was excellent. The young lady who waited at our table, Alysia, was friendly professional and an absolute credit to the business. I would highly recommend a visit here. Take your own booze if you drink. A fantastic meal with excellent service. A pleasureable night out.

We started visiting this in lockdown and have been impressed by the food and the efficiency even when busy. Ordered a takeaway on New Year’s Eve and while it look a little longer than they said- the order was all correct and food tasty. Can recommend the Desi chicken. Some of the dishes are a little hotter than normal- dansak- so be careful. We’ve now changed allegiance from the Indian in church stretton to here as it’s cleaner!

Lemon chicken and lamb passanda. Were awesome. Keema naan to die for and prompt service as usual. They've never failed to provide good food in a friendly environment

4 of us ate here on 22 February. We had a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a bottle of Zinfandel. Food was absolutely delicious. We all chose something different from the menu and tasted each others. While we were waiting the waiter brought us Papadoms with 4 different dips. For starters we chose Onion Bhajis, Chicken Pakora and Mini Shashlik. Mains included Lamb Passanda, Sylhet, Ginger Chicken & Haleem + 2 Special Fried Rice. As I said the food was really delicious, hot (in temperature) & really tasty. The staff were all friendly. Next time we are in Craven Arms we will definitely go to Razas for a meal. Can not recommend it highly enough. We enjoyed it so much that we rounded the bill up from £91.30 to £100.00. Thank you so much Razas for a brilliant night and I hope you don’t suffer too much in the current virus climate.Sorry, we enjoyed ourselves so much we forgot to take photos.

Always great fresh food, friendly relaxed atmosphere, nothing too much trouble, a real local gem. We will return again!

Stayed close by on holiday and had a takeaway Indian meal that was absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend and would certainly buy there again.

Went without booking jn January on a Saturday night. Bigger on inside than it looks as about 10 tables in the back area. Service good - special mention to Natty who was efficient and friendly. Food was great. At last a local Indian that has some medium dishes with some proper heat. Restaurant was clean and loos were spotless. All good and reasonable price. Portions of main were generous but rice was small.

During our stay near Craven Arms we tried some takeway pizzas and in-restarurant curries. Both dining experiences were great.I was underwhelmed with the Pizza Takeaway Menu - a bit contrived I think - but credit where its due - both pizzas we had were generous, luscious and tasty. So four poeple shared 2 large pizzas (Farmhouse and Pepperoni) and there was plenty and delivery was quick as promised. Deffo do that again when we are next down there.A couple of nights later (Thursday) we ate in the restauarant and enjoyed a tasty, fulfilling meal in light and airy surroundings with good service. Portions are good and the food is great. I had Punjabi Chicken which was fab. Relaxed, unhurried but as attentive as it needed to be. I can see why locals regularly frequent Razas, as witnessed by the steady stream of takeway pickups.Street parking is easy. Recommended. I doubt that you'll be disappointed.

We love a meal at Raza, the food is excellent and always tastes really fresh, friendly servers and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Pizzas are really good too. I see some reviewers say they consider the service slow, I disagree and suggest they go to McDonalds instead if they want fast food!.

We decided to give this restaurant a second chance because the food is nice but the service needed improvement and unfortunately 3 weeks later nothing has changed. Still good food, however service very slow indeed (15 minute wait for menus and drinks and over an hour for the food). As we have sat in the front of the restaurant both times it is very apparent the kitchen is catering for the busy pizza takeaway and delivery service over and above the orders in the restaurant and they just can't cope with the volume of orders. The chap behind the bar as you walk in also lacks any kind of charm or charisma just pointing you to a table and not once did we see a smile - customer service skills are non existent. We won't be returning.

Another visit to Raza's restaurant, another feast of flavour, I didn't think it possible to improve from the already high quality food, but he seems to have managed it. Thank you again for an excellent night from all 4 of us

Having our first meal at the restaurant.I was so taken back by the exceptional standard of the cooking. Staff were very friendly and helpful.The main course was a little slow in coming but it was worth waiting for . We will return 👍

We went here on the recommendation of locals. All I can say is we must have caught them on a bad night. We asked if they had a table for 2 and the guy at the bar shrugged and waived us towards the rear dining room. Not a good start. We sat down and weren't approached by any staff for nearly 15 mins. I need to say there were only 4 other tables with people sat at them at this point, so not obviously busy. Eventually we ordered. And then we sat. For over an hour. We nursed our drinks and waited. No one asked us if we wanted anything or were ok for drinks. After the hour passed I got the attention of the waitress and when asked she said the kitchen was nothing to do with her. I had to specifically ask her to ask someone(???) to find out what was happening with our food. 15 mins later it arrived. I have to admit was delicious but not worth the wait it lax attitude of the staff. I overheard another table complain about the wait and saw a man who I can only assume was the manager come out and argue with the customers. Not good. Do not recommend. Will not be returning.

Wanted a takeaway and so ordered a King Prawn Dansak, Onion Bhaji, Papadom and pilau rice.

We got this place recommend by a friend and it was totally worth it! One of the best curry I've had in a long time. Portion size was amazing and not over priced at all! Definitely recommended!!

Usually come to Razas When my sister is over, been many times and every time we have always been so swiftly pleasant and politely, food is always hot plenty of it and I’ve never had cause to complain will keep coming back and coming back thank you raza and your team again

was staying locally on holiday and got a takeaway. always a bit suspicious of places that combine pizza and curry but it was late on Easter Monday and not many options in the town.

I visit my elderly sister and brother in law in cravens arms twice a year and always we go out to have an Indian restaurant in the surrounding areas. So I was pleasantly surprised to find such a good restaurant locally. We all had something different Jaipuri , chicken tikka massala, Zachariah ,lamb kari , pilau rice and shared nan bread all dishes were finished and enjoyed. The staff were willing to advise and very patient with the older ones ( 83, 85 ) so will be looking forward to our next visit

This place is amazing. Absolutely amazing. We've never had a bad meal from here, ever! And we've been here a lot!! The buffet on a Sunday night is the best part of this restaurant though, but must he booked to avoid disappointment! Highly recommended. The restaurant has also been done out to an exceptionally high standard. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

Ordered some takeaway curries from here online and was very prompt with pick up time and also ready on arrival. We all enjoyed it thoroughly. Definetely recommend as one of the best currys i have ever had. Staff really nice and friendly,credit to the place. Thanks Raza's!!

Never been before and didn’t have a recommendation either, but it didn’t matter as the food was great. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly. Nice and comfortable restaurant

So many Inhian restaurants are indistinguishable in decor, ambience, food and service with each dish indistinghishable from the next in both taste and appearance. Razas is different from the warm welcome by the young waitress on arriving - her concern that we might might be disturbed by a larger group of younger diners - not a problem at all: to the pleasing modern decor all was set for a good experience. The 3 different dishes that we chose were flavoursome and distinct in particular my lamb Jaipuri will be a dish I go back for. Generous portions beautifully presented. This restaurant is worth a detour as the guide books used to say.

I’m am thrilled that this restaurant has opened. I used to go to Ludlow but think the food here is better. Tasty, well cooked dishes. Fair on price.

They had a good selection of dishes on the buffet including poppadoms, starters, a good selection of curries, sides, rice and naans. All very tasty, fresh and warm. Friendly helpful staff and pleasant surroundings.

We are here on holiday, wherever we go we always hunt out a good takeaway! Razas fits the bill, Butter chicken last night and pizza tonight, both excellent. Good value for money, talking of money my Scottish £20 note was taken without the usual "that's not legal tender" rubbish, Well done, many thanks to all.

Lovely local curry house, so much choice on offer and really great, friendly staff. All the food is very good, still got lots of dishes to try, but the ones I have tried so far I highly recommend. I went for a meal with some friends last night. The food was amazing as always! Nothing’s never too much trouble and Razza always goes the extra mile to ensure you have everything you want. Lovely atmosphere and great food! highly recommend this to everyone as I know it won’t disappoint!

Very nice curry. We tried a variety of dishes and all were good. Some were a little out of the regular curry house menu, but all were fine. Pay them a visit staff very friendly.

Called in at opening time 5pm for a meal with my wife and daughter, everyone couldn't have been more friendly. The whole place is immaculate, the food was probably the best Indian I'd eaten and the Cobra beer spot on. 100% recommend this place to anyone.

Just been to this Indian for first time as visiting the area will definitely return to here and can recommend it %100, everything was really good warm friendly welcome, shown to our table by friendly and eager waiting on staff drinks reasonably priced quick service food was excellent I ordered chicken naga pilau rice my wife ordered makhon mlai we ordered mixed kebab to share and poppadoms and chutneys the mint yogurt was especially nice two types onion chutney all very good, I normally can't eat mild sweet curries but was able to eat some sauce my wife left and it was very nice, the restaurant was very clean even the gents toilets were spotlessly clean the owner and staff obviously work very hard to maintain the high standards of service and quality of food and is worth every penny spent thoroughly enjoyed the meal and visit and look forward to returning soon.

Been there with a group of 10 people on a birthday party and everyone loved it. We had a buffet and it was really nice. Everyone loved it and booked it again for another birthday party next week.

It’s said you often overlook what’s on your doorstep. Boy, is this true of Razas! It took a recommendation from someone in the local supermarket check-out queue for us to ‘risk it’ rather than drive 10 miles to our usual place which we always thought to be brilliant, ......which it is, but the food there is not up to Raza’s standards.

Visited here over bank holiday weekend and so glad we did. Great menu with a wide selection of curries and pizzas. Really nice inside, clean with really nice decor.

The food served at Raza's is without doubt some of the best Indian cuisine we have ever tasted, and we have eaten at many an Indian restaurant over the years, from Carlisle to Cornwall and many places in-between.

We were on holiday in Strefford at the end of April. We visited Razas on the Monday night and chose the buffet. It was delicious!!! We enjoyed it so much ,we visited again on Thursday evening and chose off the menu.We were not disappointed,it was superb!!

The restaurant was refurbished last year and is now an excellent venue. But that is not all, the food is also excellent, cooked just right with the right amount of spices a real delight. we went as a foursome and tried each others meals, all were delicious! Not to be missed if you are in South Shropshire.

We read on TripAdvisor that the restaurant had very good reviews, we were stopping over for the night on the way home from a weeks holiday in the West Country. We went looking for an evening meal on a very wet and cold night and were not disappointed we had a great meal in a lovely setting. All the usual curry dishes tandoori etc hot, tasty and well presented. Lovely friendly staff and reasonable prices.

The restaurant is clean and tidy and looks lovely. Very helpful there and helped my friend choose her curry and what they can do to make it healthy for her. Amazing food, great ambience and fantastic attentive service, what more could you want. We love their deal nights on a Sunday and Monday and love how they tailor the meals to our tastes.

this is our local indina resturant and takeaway , finally got round too eating in the resturant and wow its was fantastic,i had a lamb balti and the lamb was that tender it melted in the mouth, thourougly recommend this resturant and razas takeaway pizzas are the best i would definately recommend the bbq pizza , and whats more is that raza is local . top marks too this resturant for service and food.

Had a take away meal delivered by a very polite driver, the food arrived in super quick time and tasted amazing, i had chicken tikka sylhet with pilau rice and garlic naan everything was so yummy i could have eaten it twice, saying this i have now decided to try out the restaurant itself with my partner for valentines day and am really looking forward to going.

We were staying in the YHA at Clun some miles from Craven Arms and needed feeding on the Saturday evening. There aren't many options in Clun itself! We spoke with Raza a few times in advance and he was extremely helpful in making arrangements for the day. Communication was wonderful and he even organised for menus to be left at the hostel in advance of our stay.

We eat here quite often as a family. The food is always of a good standard and I can highly recommend the chicken tikka, my favourite meal being chicken tikka madras. A nice kick to it but with a good rich flavour too and plenty of large juicy chunks of chicken tikka. My daughter says the cheesy naans are by far the best she has tasted as they are dripping with cheese !! They also offer freshly cooked pizzas. Would highly recommend if you are a local or a visitor to the area as you will be made welcome, looked after and very well fed !!

This is just such a great place to eat. The food is delicious and always, but always, served with a smile and a cheery welcome. Its a good place to have a relaxing meal with friends or to whizz in for a takeaway - the quality never varies - and they will add an extra chilli if you ask! A brilliant, quick and delicious takeaway when you step off the train late in the evening - the station is just close by. Highly recommended.

The host is welcoming, the restaurant is always warm and cosy, the food is wonderful and beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. It's my favourite place to eat out.. even though it's 30 miles away it's worth the trip

Really nice spicing in the dishes we chose - aloo chaat, chilli paneer, mattar paneer, aloo gobi. Loved the food. The restaurant is pleasant too - nice decor and ambience. Staff are efficient and friendly. I'd go back in an instant if I lived closer.

Staying at Ashlea pools and they recommended Razas as the best pizza place. We weren't disappointed. Pizza delivered to our door, tasty, generous toppings, really good food.

Big portions, delicious food, good vegetarian choices classy restaurant, reasonable prices, clean toilets, what more is there to be said? I can particularly recommend the vegetable-stuffed pepper starter. Not too spicy and not only contains the usual mix of vegetables, but also cheese (possibly pizza cheese?) which gives it added flavour and texture. Our second visit, but unfortunately we live around 50 miles from Craven Arms so can only go there when when passing through.

Living locally, we dine out at Raza's about once every 6 weeks or so and we always are happy to go back.Raza is very accommodating and is willing to go off menu if you ask. He's happy to make things a little more or less spicy and will cook everything exactly as you want it.The menu is very reasonable for the standard of food and I would consider it great value.You can be sure of a warm welcome and excellent food so highly recommended.

As we were holidaying locally we thought we would end our week with a takeaway after the usual discussion of you choose no you choose the decision was to go for a curry. We looked for a local takeaway which had some great reviews and on the basis the trip advisor reviews we decided that this was the one. We arrived at around 7 to an empty takeaway and to be honest on a Thursday this was expected. After the menu searching we chose our starters and mains with the usual sundries. At home we normally pay 30-35 pounds for meal for 3 so was a little shocked when a bill of over 50 pounds was mentioned. However reviews are good and you pay different prices around the country so this was not a issue. We paid and waited approx 15 mins for the food. We then drove back to the holiday home around 6 miles. After serving up we had our meal the food was ok but not as a previous reviewer stated the best curry I've every had. the pineapple rice was warm and the tandoori pannier was a tad bland compared to some I have tried ginger chicken was ok but did not give me a ginger kick I expected overall the food was ok and to be honest it was an average meal. I have eaten in the area when we stayed in wales a few years ago in radiation and the meal was a lot better. Overall if you want a reasonable meal then Razas is ok.

This is possibly the best curry I've ever had. Everything was so well cooked, spiced, seasoned. It was tasty, the spice was at the correct heat as advertised. The starters were excellent and set up the main meal really well. I had planned on asking for a doggy bag but it was so nice that I had to eat it all then and there.If this wasn't in such a sparsely populated part of the world, this would be the pride of any major town or city.The service was good, friendly and above and beyond the call of duty. Then we got the bill............ So affordable

We had a takeaway from Razas whilst staying locally.Our order was taken by a very attractive young lady which was a real bonus for me lol .The food came quickly and was very nice with us both clearing our plates.We would call in again if we are ever back in Craven Arms.

I first went to Raza's a few months ago on the recomendation of a friend and have since been back on four occasions. Each meal has been outstanding - flavoursome, inventive and truly delicious. It's great to see a curry house using in-house cooking talent and creativity instead of offering the standard bought-in sauces which so many other curry houses seem to rely on nowadays.This is undoubtedly the best curry house in South Shropshire. And the staff are great too. Book with confidence!

Had a meal here based on the award they won and was not disappointed.I tried the food that won the award, a Punjabi version of Kurma. What a difference from the bland version we generally have, it had subtleties of spice that hit the spot. Had a naan made there (despite reading in another review these are made in a clay over, not bought in as I inspected the kitchen). All the food was fresh, well but not overspiced. The chef was more than keen to discuss how each dish was made and recommend the best combinations.All in all an experience which i am eager to repeat as time permits.

We tried out this recently refurbished restaurant last Friday and were very pleased that we did. What a find!We started with the usual mix of pappadums and pickles, but these were pleasantly different in that the pappadums were so fresh and crisp that we ordered more, and the chutney being a lot more interesting and far less harsh than normal - no raw onion swathed in tomato ketchup here! These were complemented by a yoghurt mint sauce which was topped up regularly as we devoured it. We then ordered a mixture of starters, both meat and vegetarian, all were lovely but my lamb and cheese stuffed pepper was very unusual and left me determined to return for another as soon as possible.Mains were all good - Dansak and Rogan Josh definitely recommended. There was a good selection of rice choices, (15 in all) including coconut (we asked for this without sugar as advertised and it was very good) and naans etc. Too much choice on the menu to take it all in in on a first visit, though we will be back as soon as possible and next time I will try the Ginger chicken cooked with mango and mint.Waitress were all lovely and very pleasant and helpful, so all in all a very pleasant experience which shall be repeated as soon as possible. Wish we had a Raza's in Bridgnorth as well and we haven't even mentioned the Pizzas!

I think that the takeaway food here is reasonable but I have to say the Naan Breads are the worst in Shropshire.They obviously buy them in frozen ,they are limp and tasteless.Would recommend the curry connection in Ludlow...much better.

How fantastic - in a small town in rural England we found as good an Indian take away for 12 of us as we have ever had with some house specials we have never tried delivered earlier than promised - a perfect evening !

As Shropshire curry chef of the year we knew the food would be good,what we didn't know was how good. It was gorgeous best Indian food I've ever had,not only the food but the service is excellent too

After enjoying the bestest take away pizzas in the past, we decided to to sample a sit down Indian meal 5 minutes from our home, on A Sunday late afternoon. The newly renovated restaurant was lovely, very clean and beautifully decorated. Our host Raz was courteous and chatty, and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. So much so that we asked to take what was left home. Will definitaly go again, and invite our friends to join us. The phone kept going non stop for takeaways. But as a bonus, we found out that they will deliver within a 5 mile radius... that's us sorted!!! Highly recommended.

Haven't been for ages no reason just hadn't been that way ( used to call regular) but tonight decided to drive the 12 miles each way for some pizzas. I could see last time they were carrying out work to turn the takeaway into a licensed restaurant and takeaway and seen updates on their Facebook page and wow ! What a transformation they've done an absolute brilliant job it's very high spec ! They should be very proud - the pizza is still as good as ever and it's not just the pizza the city's are great too - missed calling so will have to call regular again and try a sit down meal in the very posh surroundings Highly reccomended
