Pop in for a light lunch while on are lockdown walk lovely old building had the cheese burger wive had cheesy chips all served nice an hot which was welcome on a cold day nice coffees an good service will return 😃👍

I had too many chips in a week. The server is very accomodative with my weird request of salad with the fish. Thank you for being so kind to us.

Lack of stock, below average staff hygiene. Ok for a drink

Unfortunately this tearoom didnt live up to the hype - total and obvious lack of interest from the staff ( atleast 6 people working there when we visited, so no excuse)... starting from when we entered the premises wishing to escape from the rain and had to stand in a queue behind others whilst the waitress had a long conversation with a table of customers already seated - she could see the queue building and carrying on out of the shop,but made no attempt to make a polite excuse to the people she was talking to. Eventually shown to a table at the back. Husband ordered a BLT sandwich, which was made using cheap, thin sliced supermarket bread with a handful of lettuce leaves and a slice of cucumber on the side. Have had better bacon sandwiches at greasy motorway caffs! I ordered a cheese and tomato omelette. Husband's sandwich was produced, which he ate ( slowly) - no sign of my omelette. The staff were all gathered round the kitchen hatch debating what condolesences they should be offering to someone who had messaged regarding a relative in hospital. Conversation to be heard by all, and the debate raged endlessly whilst people waited for their food. Various cream teas were then distributed. We asked what had happened to the omelette, as my husband had finished his sandwich by now - a few staff faces peeked round at us as if to see who was daring to question, then after a few minutes an omelette was hastily produced, along with a handful of lettuce leaves and 4 tiny squares of..yes, thin, supermarket bread. The most expensive and tasteless omelette I've ever eaten, no way that any cheese was used in it's making, so basically just eggs and tomatoes. RIP off!! The older staff working there should be ensuring that the younger ones are doing their jobs and not being distracted by their personal chit chat, but sadly they were just as guilty. Won't be visiting again!

What makes this restaurant so special is the service. In particular, Masud. Fabulous service, he really went the extra mile and made our evening really special. Absolutely fantastic and wonderful food 👏🏼

This restaurant has now changed hands and is now Elite Bar and Kitchen - but I can’t add it as a new restaurant here! Really good food and friendly service on a Monday lunchtime. Restaurant only opened this weekend.

Literally the best breakfast I have ever had. My wife had the full English which was stunning but I went off piste and asked for toast with poached eggs and bacon. They did this with no quibble. When it arrived it looked lush and the taste even better. Lovely fresh orange, perfectly cooked eggs and the most delicious thick bacon. Absolutely divine!

This place has dishes that are a bit different which was really nice. 8 of us came for a meal. We all agreed that the food was excellent. Great service too. Highly recommend

Another fabulous meal at the Swan. The service was impeccable from our server Olly, nothing was too much trouble. Although it was busy, we were served promptly and no waiting for our food. The food was absolutely delicious!

Last time we went in August 24 it was excellent, certainly gone off the boil now. The food was mediocre and the meat in the pies was very poor quality. Quite a few people were also complaining so not just us. We went to the Swan on the second day

We booked a table for our party of eight on an early Saturday evening. We were sat at a nice table by the window with high seats. You have to order your food and drinks - no table service. There’s a good choice of good pub food which was reasonably priced, cooked fresh and well presented. We were all pleasantly surprised and would definitely return.

If I had noticed the actual state of the place before ordering and paying I wouldn't have stayed. Whole place including the toilets needs a thorough clean. Toasty was ok but didn't drink tea as served in a black cup which didn't look clean. Staff were friendly but place was grim.

First time visit and certainly impressed. Busy Saturday night but we were seated at 6:00 and staff were welcoming. Efficient service and recommendations from the menu accepted. I had the curry, lamb bhuna with all the extras. The others had burgers or sausages. All extremely palatable. Warm and cosy environment. Just to add that the Naan bread was cold and replaced double quick with extra poppadoms and mango chutney. Great save by the head waiter.
