Unfortunately this tearoom didnt live up to the hype - total and obvious lack of interest from the staff ( atleast 6 people working there when we visited, so no excuse)... starting from when we entered the premises wishing to escape from the rain and had to stand in a queue behind others whilst the waitress had a long conversation with a table of customers already seated - she could see the queue building and carrying on out of the shop, but made no attempt to make a polite excuse to the people she was talking to. Eventually shown to a table at the back. Husband ordered a BLT sandwich, which was made using cheap, thin sliced supermarket bread with a handful of lettuce leaves and a slice of cucumber on the side. Have had better bacon sandwiches at greasy motorway caffs! I ordered a cheese and tomato omelette. Husband's sandwich was produced, which he ate ( slowly) - no sign of my omelette. The staff were all gathered round the kitchen hatch debating what condolesences they should be offering to someone who had messaged regarding a relative in hospital. Conversation to be heard by all, and the debate raged endlessly whilst people waited for their food. Various cream teas were then distributed. We asked what had happened to the omelette, as my husband had finished his sandwich by now - a few staff faces peeked round at us as if to see who was daring to question, then after a few minutes an omelette was hastily produced, along with a handful of lettuce leaves and 4 tiny squares of..yes, thin, supermarket bread. The most expensive and tasteless omelette I've ever eaten, no way that any cheese was used in it's making, so basically just eggs and tomatoes. RIP off!! The older staff working there should be ensuring that the younger ones are doing their jobs and not being distracted by their personal chit chat, but sadly they were just as guilty. Won't be visiting again!

Starting with the positive: good selection of loose teas, which was why we chose to go in. But there was no way to remove the leaves from the tea pot to stop the brew, which for green or white tea, is essential. So only got one cup from the pot because it overbrewed. Food was very mediocre and cheap quality ingredients. Sandwiches were acceptable but basic. The soup was just a tiny bowl of tinned vegetable soup with a cheap bread bun. Did not even bother eating it because it was awful.

Visited Broadway while on holiday and found this little gem. Originally went in a drink, but saw the cake and thought ‘I wonder what they have that’s dairy free?’, so the lady said chocolate cake, then continued on and said the magic words ‘scones’, so we had them and they were delicious, light and fluffy. This is the only place in the Cotswolds so far that we’ve found that does them. Definitely be coming back here.

Stopped here whilst visiting Broadway from the Gloucester Warwickshire railway. Luckily we managed to get a table as someone was leaving in the beautiful garden. Waitresses were very pleasant and on the ball. Only had time to stop for a sandwich before getting train back. Food came out quickly but perhaps not really value for money, they were quite small and didn’t really come with anything just a sprinkling of salad....having said that I did really enjoy them.

Popped to Broadway on Sunday to visit Four Corners furniture but wanted to grab something to eat first. Unseasonably cold day. Were a little bit late for a late Sunday breakfast so.asked at Tissanes if they were still serving. Although later than they usually would they checked the kitchen orders and happily said yet to us. Well worth it. Breakfast and coffee were delicious. Too full for cake but the cakes, bars and other treats all looked amazing. Would definitely return for those. Staff were ALL very lovely, friendly and attentive. This is clearly a business where the owner and staff understand customer service and go out of their way to make everyone welcome. Especially brilliant in such a busy tourist town as that can often not be the case. We will be back for cake!!

I’ve eaten here a few times now and have always enjoyed what I ordered! It’s always been for breakfast but their selection of cakes and lunch items look very tempting as well. They have a lovely garden area at the back which is walled and will be a lovely area to sit once we finally see some sun! Staff are lovely and service is very efficient as well. They are very accommodating - I’ve asked for poached eggs on toast which I couldn’t see on the menu but it was no trouble for them. The food is of good quality and cooked to perfection and the hot drinks are hot and not luke warm like some other places. I can’t imagine eating anywhere else in Broadway when I visit which I plan to do as often as possible!

There are two menus in Tisanes. One for the food and one for the tea. The menu for tea includes a description of all the different teas on offer. Our favourite is Assam but there are offerings from all over the world. No tea bags here, just genuine tea leaves with a strainer supplied for pouring. For the uninitiated this is a sieve that you pour the tea through to stop the leaves getting into the cup. This is probably what people imagine a tea room should be. From the waitresses to the crockery to the food, particularly the scones, it shouts English Tea Room. You can also buy loose tea to take home and enjoy at your leisure. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, particularly on a sunny day when you can sit and relax in their garden.

A lovely traditional teashop in this beautiful village. A nice selection of cakes and savouries with plenty of gift-oriented ideas too; teas, coffees and preserves. A slight downside is the 'loo', a tad cramped, but quaint in its own way.

If it's tea you like, look no further. The range of teas available here is astonishing. The cakes aren't bad either! We have visited these tearooms several times previously and on busy days is not always easy to get a table, clearly a sign of its popularity. When we have been seated, it is always with a warm welcome so we always look forward to a nice cuppa (& cake) whenever we visit Broadway.Well worth dropping in. Oh and it's dog-friendly too.

We have been visiting tisanes for many years and cannot fault it. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Pots of tea are proper pots of tea with loose tea and the coffees are very good. The food is fresh and very tasty. You must try their ginger cake - it is heavenly. A proper traditional tea room. They have a lovely garden at the back with proper comfortable chairs, not the uncomfortable benches you find nearly everywhere nowdays. An added bonus for us is that it is dog friendly. They also have quite an extensive gluten free menu

My husband and I were visiting the area and chose Tisanes as the venue for lunch. The gluten free options were a big consideration in choosing as I suffer from coeliac disease. Tisanes is, undoubtedly, very quaint and inviting however, the waitress who greeted us could not manage a smile and the food we ordered was far less inspiring than the decor. The soup was accompanied by shop bought, sliced gluten free bread and my husband's tuna melt was hardly substantial and certainly not well presented. Consequently, we did not stay to sample cakes & desserts, as we had planned, but moved on to find another local tearoom. Our experience here was much better as we were greeted with a smile and a good choice of cakes & scones which included high quality, home made gluten free options. We felt let down by Tisanes and, next time in Broadway, we will forego the quaintness in favour of the friendliness & quality available elsewhere.

This place is central and looks welcoming. We dropped in for lunch during a short trip to Broadway. The general ambience once we got inside was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The traditional cream teas on an adjacent table looked nice. We chose two different loose leaf Chinese teas from the extensive menu and were happy with our choices. So why have I given a poor rating? It was our food. My omelette was severely overcooked. It had a texture approaching that of the mat in the passenger foot well of my car. To be fair, that may be exactly how some people like their omelettes, but I don't know anyone who likes them like that. My partner's BLT was not on the same scale of bad, but it was still disappointing - just a pile of BLT-ish mush between two slices of bread that you could find plastic-wrapped on the shelves of any supermarket. Another minor disappointment . . . . . our waitress asked me if I wanted pickle, mayonnaise or something else (I can't remember what) with my omelette. I chose mayonnaise, but none of the three options arrived with my omelette. I could easily have repeated my request for for mayonnaise, but I really wasn't bothered by not having it (I'm on a diet!).

Disappointed to be served sandwiches made with packet 'plastic' bread, which is pretty-much unheard of these days. Reasonably priced meaning you get what you pay for. Mediocre coffee served in tiny cups. I'll swerve when I'm next in Broadway.

Pleasant service and atmosphere and clearly popular with the locals. Tea was loose leaf and was lovely, numerous loose teas available for sale. Be warned they describe the teacakes as large but they're huge! Breakfast very good and you get a better quality sausage with it than the ones put in a sausage sandwiches which was a bit confusing but didn't query it. Maybe the bread used could be from a better quality loaf but for the price you can't complain. For such a limited kitchen space they turn out some good simple dishes. We visited several times during our holiday, the dog was made welcome which is a big tick for us.

When we couldn't go due to transportation issues, our hotel recommended visiting Broadway, which was a short ride of about 20-25 minutes by taxi . Our small group found Tisanes and decided it was just the spot to have High Tea which we hadn't had on our tour of England. I'm so glad we waited...... It was delicious! TOP VENUE. Having recently stayed in the village at a nearby hotel. I was dismayed to discover that my camera was missing. Having traced back to where I last remember having it near to the venue, I proceeded to contact the local hotels and shops in what I initially though was a vain attempt. However, having spoken to Tracey at the venue, she went above and beyond what I would expect someone to do. She visited the local businesses and within a matter of hours she had found my camera after it had been handed in to a local charity shop. Having set off back home, not only did she find it but posted it back to my home address and didn't even want reimbursement. My only regret is that I couldn't thank her in person and with customer service like this then you couldn't wish for more.

On a sunny afternoon we were looking for tea outside, and Tisanes' garden turned out to be the ideal spot, rather better than other places with seating beside the High Street. Very good tea and scones. The inside seating looked good too.

Had afternoon tea. Very tasty. I picked which sandwich and cake which was delivered with warm scone with jam and clotted cream. The only reason I've given a 4 is because I found the cake icing over sweet. Was a great setting and nice experience.

Beautiful outdoor garden area with shady tables. WONDERFUL gluten free cakes and treats. Wait staff was friendly and helpful, moving umbrellas to provide maximum shade during a rare English heat wave, and refilling our water glasses.

Visited for lunch. Food served was of a poor standard. Have been before and had nice cakes but lunchtime food is of a poor quality and presentation a lot to be desired. Well down the list of eating places in broadway.

We enjoyed a marvelous afternoon tea in the garden. The scones and cakes were exceptional as was the service. We treasure our memories of this most enjoyable experience.

We love Tisanes. For us a table in the garden is the biggest treat. This time we spent almost a week in Broadway and barely missed our afternoon tea at Tisanes

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Scones with jam and clotted cream with a fruit tea and a coffee were delicious. Well worth a visit when in Broadway.

As a frequent solo diner around all of the Cotswolds, I have frequented many local eateries and have previously stayed at the Crown. Last night I thought I would indulge myself by dining there. I had two starters rather than one main. The service was excellent, the team were friendly and attentive and the food was 1st class!! Thank you Reece, you really are a top chef, funds permitting I may come back again tonight !!

We meet our friends here on Sunday 7th of July 2024 for a traditional Sunday Lunch. We were not disappointed. The service from the team was fantastic and the food was great. I had a beef roast which can be hit and miss wherever you go, and it was cooked to perfection. Nice dollop of gravy and Puds were lovely. Well presented food.

Really disappointed with the Father Christmas experience… please don’t spend your hard earned money on this, we felt so underwhelmed and just glad our daughter is young so she didn’t notice how poor it was. Paid £45.50 for 2 adults and 1 child. The elves didn’t have a script, Father Christmas wasn’t very enthusiastic and sat at the front of the barn reading out names and what the children would like… but it wasn’t very clear and all seemed as though they didn’t know what they were doing. Had a 1 second photo with Father Christmas and then proceeded to wait 10 minutes for a bag of sweets… the toy shop is a good idea. 1 toy per child… however for the price of the experience and a £6 toy. The figures don’t add up. You can make reindeer food, and effort has gone into creating the set. Really sorry but we won’t be back. Wouldn’t recommend with children older than 3.
