The Broadway Indian Restuarant in Wychavon

Last two visits here haven’t been the best experience, have felt rushed to get orders in and food on the table and get the table turned over for the next customers, both times have only been in the restaurant for 40mins and bills given before we were ready to leave.

My daughters and I had a takeaway on Saturday and I must say I was very disappointed. Over recent months it's been very hit and miss from a food perspective. Whether there has been a owner or manager change or a chef/cook change I can't say but we've had a few awful meals from there. The food we got on Saturday 11th January was nothing short of inedible soup with barely any meat in and there's nothing worse than a watery Chicken Khorma and a watery Chicken Tikka Masala. It's such a shame but I know a review like this won't change anything so it's time to look else where now I think.

Excellent food.. As close as you are going to get to a West Brom/Smethwick level of grill in Leicester

The service and atmosphere were excellent but we felt all of the dishes tasted the same, if not very similar with no real stand out flavours. Nice for a spontaneous visit but not a regular place for us.

The visit was spontaneous. We'd gone to Broadway to see the lights. So glad we went in. The service is efficient and polite. The menu is extensive with the favourites you'd expect. I had chicken biriani whizzing which was excellent my husband had chicken jalfrazi which he enjoyed. It's a bit pricey but worth it

A great setting to eat in a refurbished barn. Starters weren't as good as the mains. Excellent, engaging waiting staff.

Welcoming atmosphere, attentive polite staff, food was very tasty served on hot plates, the service excellent. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful taste of flavor and high quality spices! The location is great, the restaurant is beautiful, the food is fantastic I had a butter chicken but they were able to make it spicy for me:) the Service was the best in the area. The Cobra beer is exactly the beer you want with a curry too. 10/10 these guys do it so right:)

Beautiful - khima nan unbelievable

From the moment we were greeted at the door, this was a fabulous dining experience in a gorgeous setting. Tremendous food, lovely service-PERFECT!

If you like Indian food then this is a great place to eat at fair price. Usually quite busy so booking a table is recommended.

We drove through Broadway and were hungry. Popped in and got a table, although many were pre-booked. They accommodated our need for milk and egg allergies and the food was very good. They had highchairs and the staff were attentive. Can be recommended.

Ambience was great. Has options to choose between veg and non veg. Loved the hospitality.

My wife & I are seasoned Indian restaurant attendees both within the UK and overseas. Having read some adverse reviews beforehand we were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, standard of service and quality of food in this establishment and would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Nipped in here and honestly the food was great, the service was attentive. I am on Crutches and they were so kind. We will be returning minus my Crutches in a few weeks.

Lovely restaurant in a beautiful location. Service was very good and the good was extremely tasty.

What a delightful evening! Set in an old barn with lovely windows, the stone walls are decorated tastefully with lovely Indian textiles. We were greeted enthusiastically by Mahmood (sp?) and the entire team was so kind. Everything from the poppadoms to the prawns to the paneer tikka 👏👏👏 was absolutely delicious. We strongly encourage you to spend an evening with this great restaurant!

Fantastic place that never disappoints

I would travel the hr every week to come and have an Indian here. The place is absolutely beautiful and the food was out of this world the best Indian I have ever had and the service was so friendly and attentive highly recommend

Came here 2 years ago as the menu looked interesting but the food did not live up to our expectations. Visited last night having made an online reservation the previous evening. We were sat at a nice window table and took ages deciding what to have but the waiter did not try to hurry us even though the restaurant started to fill up. I had the Argh? Chicken which was aromatic and the sauce rich and tasty. The Peshwari Naan are to die for so I had a 2nd one. The only drawback was my partner wanted to finish with a Jasmine tea but they had run out. On paying it was pointed out that service was not included and we happily added a tip as we had enjoyed our evening

What makes this restaurant so spe ial is the service. In particular, Masud . Fabulous service... he really went the extra mile and made our evening really special. Absolutely fantastic 👏🏼 5*****

They fitted us in on a busy Saturday evening. I recommend you try a quieter time of the week. We asked for no ice in the drinks but were not heard. The starters were undercooked, but the fish was totally overcooked. The server managed to splash and burn my better half with hot oil on her arm chest and dress. We expected a bit more for the price and area.

We dined at the restaurant last night, it was wonderful, I am not good with very hot food so I asked the waiter who guided me in what to eat. It was delicious and we will definitely go again

Went last night and had a lovely meal, Beef Jalfrezi was delicious. Excellent service and very friendly with good advice for their food.

When entering we asked if any of the vegeterian dishes could be made vegan. The waiter was lovely and said he'd check with a colleague. That person then said that yes they all could. A few minutes later the manager came over and we asked again to confirm could we have the biryani made vegan and he said no. I asked what could be vegan and became quite short and said you tell me what you want then we'll do it. So I said the biryani... and he said it could be made vegan after all. We ordered that and some other dishes to take away with us and the food was really good but we had to wait an hour for it after ordering, I'm assuming as we were taking it away it wasn't priority. Overall they had nice vegab food but they should advertise these more clearly!

Food was very bland and tasteless...Nan breads were very thin and again tasteless...I asked for a garlic nan ..husband asked for a keema nan again very little keema and thin and I couldn't taste any garlic whatsoever..ordered a starter..never got it...expensive restaurant but it felt like they were skimping on quality and quantity. Manager didn't like us complaining and reluctantly knocked £20 off the bill.. Think the manager knows he can rely on passing trade and tourists visiting Broadway who have never been before so dosent make any effort into serving good food...Dreadful!

Went here for the first time for food which was ok, probably would go back. When we finished our meal just before 7pm we asked two different waiters to call a taxi for us and both times were told we don’t call taxi ( first times this has ever happened in my whole time eating out ) we had to walk 3 miles to our accommodation. They really need to address this situation as when people go out to eat they tend to sometimes drink alcohol and need a taxi home.

I could not fault this gorgeous Indian restaurant. The staff were attentive and polite. The food was excellent. We all thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The wine was lovely! 5 stars 🌟 When I visit again I will be back!

Staff were friendly, ordered a takeaway. Chicken Korma and Naan, Chicken Tikka masala also with another naan. C.Tikka tasted of sick my wife said and my Korma was so watery, chicken was like hard rubber. We have never had such an awful Indian, Neither of us could eat the food and even the dog sniffed at it and walked away. will stick to Evesham even tho not as local. Expensive also £34.50. £25.00 in Evesham and so much better and free delivery. Wish I had read reviews.

Very tasty takeaway with plentiful portions

Terrible food last night chicken very chewy , considering bill £115 for 3 people not impressed at all, left most of it just left said nothing as busy, but wouldn't recommend too anybody

A truly brilliant restaurant. We booked when we arrived in Broadway for a break but saw some negative reviews which made us a little unsure. We are really pleased we went ahead as it was a great experience. The food was truly excellent and the service impeccable - as good as, if not better than, some of the highly rated restaurants we have been to. I simply cannot recommend this restaurant too highly

Absolutely brilliant place! We've lived locally for a couple of years now and had been to all the other restaurants in Broadway but not this one. We finally made it the other night and loved it so much we went back two nights in a row! The food is delicious, the staff are amazing, very respectful and attentive. The menu is great, tons of options, including vegetarian. The nice thing as well is it's broken down into Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Seafood and Vegetarian options with a clear explanation of what each dish is (and how spicy), so if you're relatively new to Indian cuisine (like me) you know what to expect. Another huge bonus. They don't automatically include service charge like nearly all the establishments in Broadway (and further) do, but we quite happily left a tip because the service exemplified why you tip in the first place. Genuinely great food, great staff, great place. We'll be back again!

Very slow and rude staff. Food disappointing

Shocking. The takeaway was honestly the worst Indian food I've had (and I've sampled a a lot). Rubbery naan and bhajis, bland shashlick and unrecognidable jalfrezi with no real sauce. All of it felt like microwaved leftovers. And yet, the restaurant buildind is beautiful inside. Go figure.

Great place with lovely food with friendly service, but you better bring your appetite & elasticated pants , otherwise you won't finish. The wife & I, felt embarrassed leaving what we did , but we where royally stuffed. Cosy atmosphere aswell, even tho it's a gorgeous big old building.

In the past I haven’t been the biggest fan of indian food but the food here certainly tastes good. This was enhanced by the friendly staff. I did pour half bottle of Prosecco over my sister (accidentally) and staff were very helpful to sort it out. Then my other sister just dropped her knife down and nearly stabbed her self! We all couldn’t stop laughing. We had a lovely time over here, the restaurant wasn’t too busy, when we arrived and it was just what just what we needed.

The most appalling curry, waited over an hour for a starter, ended up with three prawns on microwaved naan bread, pickles swimming in oil and loaded with salt. Main course bland and tasteless, ordered pilau rice, served boiled, side dishes very average. Warm flat draught Cobra followed by warm bottled Cobra. Avoid this restaurant

This was the last day of our UK holiday and we stumbled on this restaurant driving around Cotswolds. I can honestly say it was the best meal of our entire holiday. Food was really great, staff were friendly, polite and efficient, and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Me and the wife had a 3 night stay in broadway went there on the first night food was fantastic second night had a rubbish meal in the local pub near enough cost the same so returned to on our last night and enjoyed the food even more little expensive waiters were polite helpful can’t fault the place wish it was local to me 👍

Spoilt as a waiter spilled the food of the table behind dinner all down my back. He then embarrassingly tried to clean up my shirt with the wipes they give you for your hands. Shirt is stained and ruined and thrown away, restaurant wont even respond.

We had a take away. Fantastic food and plenty of it. Full of flavour. Looking forward to our next trip to Broadway in Sept. We will definitely be ordering again.

Rating a bit late but a very good restaurant! Broadway is kind of out of the way but if you find yourself here, definitely show up. Good, fast food.

Delicious meal. Exceptionally tasty.

Stopped by to order our takeaway in person. Staff were lovely and took our order and told us how long the wait would be. After a quick drink in the pub over the road we popped back and our food was ready. Food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals.

Restaurant opening time advertised as 17.30, so booked for 18.00 online - no confirmation of booking received. Arrived at 17.55 and the restaurant was all looked up no sign of life. Other guests waiting. They called the number and staff member answered and said they would be open at 18.10. Whilst waiting we checked their inspection rating - Jan '23 only 2☆ with hygiene needing improvement. Chose to go elsewhere - glad we did as we say all the staff turning up at 18.15, smoking as taking food in. Looked scuffy. Can see why 2☆'s now. Go elsewhere folks.

Lovely food and ambience coupled with incredibly reasonable prices. Compares equally to our favourite Indian restaurant at our home city of Nottingham.

Had the veggie option, I asked them to up the heat which they did to perfection. Had chapatti and tarka dhaal. Wife had chicken and peshwari naan. A beer, two glasses of wine - £53.

Rude staff, we booked a table and after finishing our meal we’re informed we had to leave immediately for the next booking. We had not taken very long to eat particularly. Very greedy business.

Disaster of a restaurant. Turned up on time for a booking made two months in advance and waited an hour to see other tables be seated before us. Rude maitre d’. Wouldn’t waste my time here.

Dreadful. You arrive early for a booking made 8 weeks previously and after an hour you’re still not seated. It’s unforgivable. We have no idea about the food as we didn’t get any. We were not the only people to leave without eating. Clearly the management would rather accommodate walk-ins to maximise their income without any concern for people who’ve booked weeks in advance. We’re very fortunate to live in Broadway but will have to try elsewhere if we want an Indian meal. Such a shame when we can walk to the one in our village!

Good atmosphere and poppadoms. Unfortunately that where the good things end! Overpriced. Four of us paid 140 pounds for the set menu, which came with small portions, tasteless mains, and 2 small naans to share between 4 of us!

Great food and service! But having the bill slapped on the table,tip snatch and put on the bar,with no thank you.then after nearly £250 later,asked to leave cus they needed the table! Booked for 6.30 and at 7.40 we were walking back to the car!!!! Iv been round the world,and never been treated like this. Shame.

Nice place but very expensive wouldn’t go again

Had a takeaway - they forgot the side dish which we only discovered after driving home and the food wasn’t anything special. Disappointing.

This is a favourite 'Go To' for us, always a warm welcome, food is delicious, never disappointed, fabulous service, linen table cloth and napkins. A well run professional restaurant.

The interiors of the place are nice and the staff is courteous. That's the good part. Food isn't worth it at all, quite unsatisfactory in terms of taste.
