Popped in on Sunday, with a group of friend, 7 of us.
Had a latte and coffee & walnut cake.
Both were delicious; amazing bit of cake, coffee was lush, great sized portion
Cafe was full and had a great atmosphere to it.
A gem on the highstreet
We've been here a few times, despite living over 30 miles away. Usually we stop off when en route somewhere else, but I'd certainly travel especially - it's that good.
The full English they serve here is one of the best I've ever had. Everything is high-quality. Right down to the toast.
The service is excellent, and it has a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere. For the quality, it's very, very well-priced.
I've been spoilt though - since the full English here, the benchmark has been set and I can't accept anything less.
Despite a good reputation and good trip advisor reviews this restaurant is now shut down and up for sale. This needs to be reflected on trip advisor urgently

One of my favourite curry houses in the country ! Raja and his team go over and above every time. Small, intimate, welcoming, exceptional food and ambiance. A must-visit. But be careful - you may well become addicted like me !
Decidimos cenar en el toro anoche después de escuchar cosas muy buenas recientemente. Fuimos recibidos por el personal muy amable y nos sentamos muy rápido. pedimos algunas bebidas de una selección bastante extensa. Las bebidas eran excelentes, así que procedimos a pedir la cena. La comida llegó muy rápido y se veía increíble. Mi cerveza rebozada de bacalao estaba caliente fresca y exquisita lo mejor que he comido en años. Mi compañero pidió la hamburguesa definitiva y no se decepcionó en lo más mínimo. Hamburguesa fresca con latigazos de tocino crujientes de barbacoa tirada de cerdo y queso derretido todo envuelto en un bollo pretzel servido con col fresca y patatas fritas crujientes. Es un 10 de cada 10 de nosotros en servicio y comida. Mantén un ojo en El Toro mientras sube y viene y sube a la cima bien hecho!

As we had a little dog with us we sat in the bar, which was absolutely fine.
The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The food is excellent and good value for money.
We shall be returning before long!
If you want a welcome, a hello, or just a friendly hi…..please don’t bother!
I have given this place so many chances but sadly each time, save for an occasional staff member who smiles and welcomes you, you get greeted with a scowl, distain or a sneer and ZERO customer focused service.
The ‘chap’ who seems to be the owner and runs the kitchen, is not beyond barking at you that an item is not available, or, on one occasion when my partner had asked for no butter in his takeaway sandwich, yet it was applied anyway, when this was pointed out to the staff, the ‘chap’ came out of the kitchen and informed my partner that ‘as this sandwich had already been paid for, you best purchase another!!’ Manners? Customer focused? Customer considerate? Maybe there is a need to understand that it is the ‘customers’ that keep the establishment going, NOT the other way around.
Blue Bean Cafe, you are a customer facing service that needs ‘said’ customers.. a little investment in a customer service course may serve you well? Or perhaps just good old manners rather a serving of annoyance to your customers? 🤔
