Great wholesome and traditional Italian food! Visited here just before lockdown 2 after they had just opened and was happy to see they came through it and opened again. The place was busy which is great for a small town on a Monday night, and the food and service was spot on. In times where certain cuisines have gone all fancy and expensive, this place just serves you the classics done really well and at very reasonable prices. Great buzz about the place and the six of us left full and happy!

Just spent a most enjoyable couple of hours at this charming restaurant in the centre of Shipston. All good. Lovely tasty lunch. Great value. Delightful and efficient staff. Cosy. Imagine it is very pretty in winter, with its lovely wooden beams. What's not to like? Highly recommend. We will be back. X

My wife and I came on Saturday for our anniversary and the waiters we so accommodating as I requested flowers for our table when I booked for Saturday. They couldn’t make our night more memorable. The Mandus wine was Amazing, and the pasta's are to die for. I’m so happy we have this Restaurant just around the corner. We will be back very soon.

We went for Sunday lunch - our first visit to Amore. It was quite busy which was good, but the rest of the experience was distinctly average. We also felt that the menu was too big which always means a good deal of microwaved food. We both had the Siciliana pizza - enormous and covered in a lot of quite greasy cheddar, though the anchovies were ok and the olives cheap ones from a tin. The dough was undercooked and there wasn't a trace of mozzarella on the pizza. I couldn't finish mine and wished I'd had less pizza and more salad (which was ok in itself). The real disappointment was the tiramisu, which when done well, is a blissful dessert. This one was basically a large square of cream, clearly from a catering pack, with hardly any sponge at all. I couldn't finish it. My Americano was fine; my husband's Latte was weak and cold. Service was reasonably friendly but the waiters looked bored to be honest and as though they were just going through the motions. One thing I wasn't impressed with was that there was no way of drying your hands in the Ladies toilets - no hand dryer, paper towels or towels. Not good. Not even any hand sanitiser. Overall we were underwhelmed, and although Amore is not particularly expensive we felt that we wouldn't be going back anytime soon.

Visited last night, of all the dining options in Shipston we chose Amore, sadly it was very disappointing, right from being greeted at the door, we felt as we were a nuisance. We ordered drinks at the table, one being Bacardi and coke, what was served was definitely not Bacardi, but a cheap alternative, when mentioned, a shrug of the shoulders, and an ignoring was the reaction. Starters arrived deep fried and totally overdone, followed by mains, dried chicken in tinned tomato sauce, Luke warm at best. Tasted said dish, felt it needed some more seasoning, personal choice, so added what I thought was black pepper as marked on grinder, only to find it was filled with salt, this only compounded an already bad experience, and that was only trumped by the cold coffees at the end of the meal. You need to up your game, bearing in mind the competition for hard earned money in the local area, will not be revisiting.

We found this gem on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Attentive staff, delicious food and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend

This restaurant is superb! Service is exceptional and the food is absolutely amazing. Authentic italian food and service, drinks are also extensive. HIghly recommend this restaurant and I will definately make a trip to Shipston on Stour to eat here again.

My boyfriend and I booked a table here as we were staying in the local area. The ambience was great, food & menu was amazing and staff were incredible (very friendly and fast service). We were not disappointed and would love to visit again if we had the chance!
