The Lazy Pug in Stratford-on-Avon

6 of us stayed over Xmas, very clean and comfortable rooms.the manager came especially on Xmas day to give us breakfast which was beautifully prepared and very generous. Definitely would recommend

Super dog friendly pub with good food and really friendly staff

First time visiting shipston on stour and was such a great experience at the lazy pug. Staff were very welcoming and down to earth. Food was amazing and delicious. Music in the bar was great! The room was beautiful and had everything you could need, cleanliness was 5star!!! Cannot fault anything about this place, what a great little pub, will definitely be visiting again!!! Thankyou lazy pug, you did not disappoint!!

Staff went above and beyond for my partners Birthday. Room was spotless and bed comfortable. Had food and drinks in bar/restaurant, this was spot on and was very impressed. Service was fast and staff very friendly, would definitely recommend and return. Thank you to the team!

Very LAZY pug -poor. Took 22mins to get served, even though it was very quiet. I don't know where the server was for the first 15mins of our visit, but it wasn't behind the bar. We ordered a bacon and egg roll and poached egg on toast. This took a further 33 mins to arrive 😂. When I questioned the server on why it took so long, he was very defensive and had the attitude as if this was a normal amount of time to wait. The Bacon and egg roll was very greasy but the poached egg on toast was quite nice. Shame, won't be returning.

Just dropped in for coffee. Good service, will be back.

We stayed in this lovely village for a wedding Lovely pub , food was great, the staff are the best and funny , we did stay down the road but wished we would of stayed here now, the place we were in ran out of food so we ended up eating here , Sunday dinner and breakfast was amazing thank you for all you did for us 😀

Just stayed at the lazy pug for 2 nights to attend a wedding nearby The beds are the best ive slept in at any b&b The food was amazing sunday roast was fabulous we had the beef option you wont be disappointed Breakfast was delicious And most importantly the staff are great very friendly All in all made our stay there perfect

Food is good. Has improved under new management. Today they were amazingly kind to me and to some others. Really appreciated it. Recommended by me.

Opted for Friday Fish and Chips with trimmings of fresh lemon, generous portions of both mushy peas and tartare sauce . The fish was cooked to perfection in crispy batter . We spoke to two members of staff who made us very welcome. Will be back 😊👍🏻👏🏻

Met friends and family for food in beer garden. Great outdoor space. Excellent food and service was superb.

Very noisy from main road. We stayed for two nights and I was lucky if I got 4 hours sleep. Construction workers started clanging and shouting at 7am on a Sunday. No complaints about the room or food, but the noise levels are unbearable.

Had lunch there. It was delicious

The assessment corresponds to the pub, we had an English breakfast there and it was very good and very complete, we would go back.

The only reason why this didn’t get two or one star is that I’m local and I’m sure the owners try… but breakfast here last week was absolutely shocking! I don’t need to go in to exact detail but if i was the owners I’d be getting a new breakfast chef! The guy behind the bar really wanted to still be in bed too i think… i know that it’s difficult to find good staff but if you can’t find the staff to provide a good level of service then you can’t really offer the service. I’ll happily review it again at another time but I’d be hesitent to return until things improve…

Went in for lunch on ay to Broadway, had the Thursday £10 pie deal. Ordered steak and ale but was veggie, just green mush and a couple of bits of mushroom. Spoke to person serv8ng and she said definitely Steak and Ale. If hadn't paid already would have just left. Partner had Chicken ham and leek, just 1 piece of chicken. Nothing l8ke the pictures on website and Facebook. Pi3s done especially for Thursday?? Keep clear!!

Nice pub, dog friendly of course. We visited as part of our Pug Pub crawl. No garden! This is the reason for the 4* instead of 5* big shame especially when we visited with our doggie who is half Pug - of course 😁 Friendly staff, quirky place i would recommend a visit.

Had a great time at boozy bingo. Ethan and Izzy made sure our table was looked after and offered amazing service through the night. Would highly recommend.

We had lunch here, the chips are fabulous, triple cooked so really crispy.

Personally never had a bad experience, eaten Sunday lunch, weekend lunch, weekday lunch and breakfast here and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Food is great and service and staff are wonderful.

Stopped for breakfast/brunch. Decent portion size, good quality food, cooked well. Staff member was friendly and personable. Apologies for not providing a pic.

Review for food only, not board... As good a Sunday Roast as I've had in years. The beef was tender. The gravy was rich and moreish. I liked the mild heat of the mustard on the parsnips too. Delicious dinner and friendly service. Very happy.
