The Arden Hotel in Stratford-on-Avon

Check in was very smooth. Had many staff in hand and they walked you to your room too offering help with luggage. The only complaint I had about the entire trip was the signage to find our room and get about the hotel. Everything else was wonderful. Huge room. Bath you could swim in. Somerset closet with fridge. Food was excellent. Good value. And service throughout was excellent. Beth who looked after us was just a delight. She looked after us with our dinner pre theatre and drinks after. Ideal location for the RSC theatre. Literally across the road. We had the dinner bed and breakfast package for one night which included £35 pp for dinner which covered the three course set menu. Breakfast buffet was high quality but with slightly less choice than other continental buffets, but the eggs Benedict were amazing. Parking is £10 for a night and is secure. They give you a token on check out. Overall great stay. Thank you.

Very pleased with the Hotel, staff, food. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The hotel is perfect as a base for the surrounding countryside, and within a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and directly opposite the RSC, We will be returning!

Loved it great to be able to walk into shops. The bed was really lovely and the breakfast was good 👍 . Staff very polite and helpful.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past forty five years but returning after a number of years were somewhat disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel itself seemed tired and in need of some tender loving care. Our large bedroom had wallpaper coming away above the bed, the bath was stained, bits kept falling off the shower and the door handle just moved round and round. The main bed cover was torn. The woodwork around the windows outside was rotting and dropping to bits and seemed not to have been painted in years. This was a visit to capture memories from the past. Sadly disappointing.

We wanted to make our anniversary a special occasion.The stay at the Arden hotel ,the quality of the food and service combined with it s proximity to the theatre made it an excellent choice which is relected in the star rating.All the staff were attentive and pleasant in particular Ruel and Molly.Many thanks we will be returning .

Lovely hotel in perfect location. Large clean rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent and staff really friendly. Safe parking on site at a reasonable price.

I find this place very welcoming. Again they have in door out door space to sit and relaxe .also cater for disabled and mature. Folk. This place will cater to your needs But I find the prices are so good . There is no stuffy feeling of anything that . I'm saying this because I feel you need to look at this place across the Rd from RSC. Strait forward to get to .

Had very nice afternoon tea , staff very nice. Really nice decor and makes it feels like a special time. A year later and I'm back , just as good Sandwiches were delicious and the cakes were exellent. Highly recommend coming here , I was given virgin voucher first time and I keep coming back now .

Beautiful hotel, right in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Excellent choice if going to the theatre, which is just over the road. So many other things to do in Stratford , especially in the Spring and Summer. 5 Shakespeare properties to visit. William Shakespeare is buried in the parish Church.

Absolutely great hotel for location, parking and getting to see all Stratford has to offer. Long wait times at Reception at times, it would be helpful if there was a way to notify someone you are waiting but otherwise great service from everyone.

The hotel is nothing special, but well maintained and reasonably tastefully decorated.

If Carlsberg did hotels, they would be like The Arden. The staff are all SO nice, especially the reception. Breakfast is amazing, rooms are lovely and the location is perfect. And it's dog friendly to the max with treats and a breakfast sausage. A lovely and relaxing place to stay.

Dragged for afternoon tea with the better half. Bonus for me though, I upgraded to a beer and bowl of chips to go with it. Nice flavours with the sandwiches, thought the bread was a lil dry. Not really my bag but it was nice. Little cakes were tasty too. Nice place and staff. The mains coming out looked lovely.

A perfect location for the theatre and local shops and restaurants. We enjoyed a calm and undisturbed stay, and will certainly return.

Sunday lunch on the terrace is a treat. The chief is really outstanding. Live music with Metz. What a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

My colleagues and I had a fantastic stay at the Arden Hotel in Stratford with mix of business and pleasure. All the staff across reception, events /meetings, restaurant, bar made it perfect. This is a hotel where the staff make you feel like a guest where nothing is too much trouble.

Wonderful experience, very accommodating. First introduction from Pete, checked my dinner bookings for the weekend and gave good advice. The dining experience was excellent, very attentive staff, interesting menu, and the food was delicious. I arrived a little early for Sunday breakfast to the kitchen’s surprise, however the head waiter brought me a coffee while I waited and the chef accommodated me as soon as he could and cooked me Eggs Benedict, which I considered to be absolutely perfect poached eggs. The stay was a pleasure, and I would like to thank all the amazing staff I met during my stay. I will look forward to future visits. Thank you to all at the Arden Hotel.

I would have given 5 stars for service, but the drinksxwe ordered were not delivered. Our food arrived, still no drinks. Went to check why, they'd not been added to the order. When they did arrive, both food and drinks were very good.

My most recent stay was a little below par, but this is generally an excellent hotel.

Not stayed here but WANT TO with our doggo's but boy oh boy , their website is a nightmare ! You click on whichever kind of room you want to LOOK AT ( master ) and nothing 🤔 just a small stock photo 👎 we wanted to look at the "master" rooms that are available but to no avail so we stopped looking 🙄. web page needs some serious attention to "attract people" and not put them off !

We didn't stay but we visited for an afternoon tea, The service was excellent throughout, the food lovely and the facilities clean and well kept. We couldn't have asked for more

We booked into the Arden on the off chance they had a room, from the moment we walked in all the staff were amazing, we were shown our room which was immaculate and warm, we booked in for dinner bed and breakfast which was very reasonably priced, our evening meal was perfectly cooked, my pigeon starter was delicious, my plate at the end looked like it didn't need washing, I'd licked it clean, my duck main course was also perfectly cooked and seasoned, there was no salt and pepper pots on our table which tells me the chefs no what they are doing...I can't praise this hotel enough and the staff that work here too..thanks for duch a great (short) stay...we will be back.

This hotel is in an amazing location. It’s opposite the theatre! The service is great. As too was breakfast. The room although comfortable is a little lacking. Would I stay here again. Yes. As the location more than makes up for any shortcomings with the room. Oh, and the fact it has a carpark is also great. You do have to pay extra to park. But if driving a long way like us it’s a good benefit to know you can park and leave the car there all weekend and walk everywhere.

Wonderful central location opposite RSC theatre. Excellent breakfasts, sadly can't comment on dinner as was informed driving there that we couldn't have dinner as no chef available.

Perfect location for the theatre - great service too thanks

This was the first time we had stayed at The Arden although we have stayed in Stratford many times. We had a lovely stay and were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel and staff. Now, if you are looking for new, soundproof, box like modern rooms that are perfect in every detail this may not be the hotel for you. If you would like to stay somewhere with character, personality and some traditional class then I would definitely recommend. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a superking bed and seating area. The bathroom was large with separate walk in shower and free-standing bath. We dined at the restaurant and had breakfast. I have reviewed food in more detail in other parts of my review, but in short the food was excellent. What I would really like to stress is the level of service and welcome we received from all the staff at The Arden. There are many reviews written via the internet and quite often people are fast to complain but slower to compliment. I believe in credit where credit is due and we had a lovely stay at this hotel, made even better by the excellent team of staff who work there.
