Gorgeous toasties, fast and friendly service and the best coffee! We came here after having a bad experience at Dolce Cafe up the road. Such a good decision and wish we'd come here first. We will be coming again!

Excellent salmon and scrambled egg. Staff were really pleasant. Had the meal Fter doing a saunter around the heritage trail.I thoroughly recommend it. They also do lots of delicious savouries, pasties and a range of home made cakes including chocolate brownies.

Situated on Henley Arden High Street with a few tables outside and lots of room inside. Open Monday to Saturday till mid afternoon. There is an extensive menu catering for all tastes. Staff are helpful, service is good and it’s very clean. The food is delicous but don't be fooled the portions are huge! Having eaten there many times we have never been disappointed. The takeaway service is really useful on occasions too. On our most recent visit we had Eggs Benedict and Smashed Avocado with Poached Egg. The cooked breakfast is really popular too.

Henley bakery was so nice to go. I went with my grandma for an early lunch and the service was amazing. Very welcoming environment and very friendly aswell. A great atmosphere. Christy was amazing and helped with everything as well as making us feel very welcome she was lovely and polite and enjoyed speaking to her also very hard working. She made our lunch very enjoyable

Most recent visit decided to stop and have an early breakfast. Food was good, no nonsense, with a short and simple menu, no complicated flavours for tastebuds to question, nothing exceptional, nothing outstanding (for me to give a 5th *). Basic typical breakfast options which they do well. Busy little cafe for locals, and passer-by’s. If driving, it’s street parking or nearby parking lots. Service is always efficient.

What a lovely place to stop for a coffee and sandwich. It's on the high street, with limited parking as it's a busy place. Food excellent and huge portions! Staff very pleasant. 2 drinks, 1 sandwich and 1 cake £15. Bakery incorporated within.

We were met with smiles and warmth. We had generous sized hot drinks and beautiful hot sandwiches. The service and food was faultless and will definitely be returning We’ll done all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A lot of other reviews say about delays with the food but I come here a few times a week and never have had to wait too long, it isn’t a fast food place so doesn’t take any longer than any other restaurant! if there’s a wait they always let me know. The food is brilliant it’s so tasty, they use thick cut bread which is just so nice and generous portion sizes. All the staff are friendly and interior is great I love it there, would recommend anyone to try it if you’re in the area

Looks the part, nicely decorated, great display of the baked goods, really thought it would be quite a high quality up market fashionable place to go. Just a bit disappointed. Paid £19 for two coffees and two bacon sandwiches which were over cooked and mediocre. About a 30 minute wait for food. You will also smell of cooking oil when you leave. Nice to try somewhere different that clearly has history but I think the kitchen needs some work

We visited for a full English breakfast - it was absolutely amazing, came really quick and was full of flavour! They use Lashford sausages which were delicious. Staff were so friendly and place has a lovely atmosphere. Great coffee and cakes to finish it off too so will definitely return.

Popped in unplanned with my daughter, had two fabulous sandwiches, a lovely little place, service was great, quality perfect. Cakes are incredibly tempting, Will visit again for sure.

Excellent food here and it's very popular with locals. Quirky seating/tables and generally pleasant environment. But cold (we had to keep our coats on) and the loo is outside and could be better. Minor grumbles really because the food was generous and delicious.

Went here as it had good reviews. It didn’t blow us away at all. It’s a nice place and the cakes , pastries on offer looked really nice. We were first in the place and ordered pretty quickly. The pot of tea we had was warm not hot so I took it back. The second one was better for the first cup but cold when it came to pouring the second one. The place filled up quite quickly.Our food came and it looked nice , the sausages were great but the bacon was not nice .Overall a very average breakfast.we did take away some cakes and they were lovely . I must mention by the time we left only one other table had been served and no takeaways had been served, so the service is very slow . I won’t rush back here there are a lot better places around for breakfast

I stopped here for a quick break earlyish on a Saturday morning. The young man behind the counter was extremely friendly and polite. I ordered a decaf cappuccino and a slice of Bakewell Tart. Both arrived at my table quickly and both were delicious. In fact the Bakewell Tart was probably the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

We visited for pizza night and had the best time. Food and drink was brilliant and the staff were caring and personable. We were a large table and ordered a variety of pizzas and sides, pizzas were spot on and the staff made sure we had what we needed to have a great night. Live music was a bonus. Returned the next morning for breakfast sandwiches on baked in House bread and coffees that hit the spot. Couldn't recommend enough.

We visited Henley in Arden for the day and decided to stop for breakfast. Everything was ok but very expensive we had two vegetarian breakfasts they were nice but it took well over 30 minutes for them to get to us

We were visiting Henley in Arden whilst in the area . Walking up the high street we came open the bakery and went in, I had Tomato soup with door step cut bread and my wife had homemade sausage roll with side salad . This was a lovely experience and we would certainly visit this bakery when back in the area .,

Was quite disappointed here. Food took an absolute age to arrive. We both ordered food with sourdough and none of us got it. My breakfast came with extra bread which looked really nice but it was caked in either margarine or something like super cheap butter which tasted awful. Rather than put butter on the side they covered the bread with it. To be very fair the rest of the breakfast tarted good. I probably would come back if it was less busy but I’d order differently.

Ate here for the first time, chosen on back of good reviews. Turned out to be a great decision. The place had a real buzz, very busy so booking maybe worthwhile. On the hottest day of the Bank Holiday we were attracted to Henley for the Music Festival & really enjoyed what we had and listened to Tony Wall singing....beautiful, and the rest of the customers shared the experience. Felt really sorry for the staff, it was REALLY HOT & we do not blame them for not smiling....they worked their sox off to serve everybody. We'll be back....when it cools down.

upon walking in you are greeted with a vibrant and friendly atmosphere which is perfect and what you want after a long day. the food after ordering come nice and quick and then there is the food itself. tasty and perfect portions.

We love coming here at the weekend for breakfast. Always a friendly welcome. Simple yet nicely presented food. Great coffees. Choice of artisan breads and something naughty to take out (the strudel is to die for !!).

We visited on Saturday 19th January 2019 for lunch. The Bakery was recommended by staff at the bridal shop across the road. There were 3 adults and a one year old baby. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and freshly cooked. The room is quite spacious so it didn’t feel like we were too close to other diners. We will be coming back again soon. Also my pot of tea was lovely, it’s not often I can say that.

This is a very nice independent café. Warm, friendly and welcoming. Coffee, tea and food good in my experience. Fresh bread excellent. Dogs welcome which is a bonus for us.

Called in for breakfast on our way to Stratford. Very impressed with the bread choices we both opted for granary bread with poached eggs, Bread was thick and tasty. Waitresses were friendly. Cafe is dog friendly. Homemede cakes and Bakes look lovely.

Were really made to feel welcome on a very wet bank holiday Sunday for a takeaway brunch & hot drinks . The cafe bakery was bursting @ the seams with male singer doing his thing .but they had all the time for our requests even @ this busy period. Breakfast doorstop sandwiches were impeccable & hot drinks were good to takeaway. Then I asked if they were dog friendly, to be told they were ,but we had given up with puppy @ this stage after the fiasco in dolce cafe ten minutes earlier . But ten out of ten for Henley kitchen & bakery will return with rough collie in the future

This is quite local for us, and we’re regular customers to get our coffee fix. In addition to cakes and bread baked on the premises, they have a busy trade for their breakfasts. They also offer a variety of options for lunch, and have recently added a deli counter with local produce.

Came upon this cafe whilst in Henley. Looked clean and inviting so called in for brunch. Great service from very pleasant girls. Had a mix of jacket potatoes, toasties and the steak ciabatta special. Simple fayre done very well. Quality food presented well. Definitely return when in the area.

As I normally finish work at 5pm thought I would pop in to buy from the newly opened deli, especially after their advertising. Door was open at 4.10pm. Asked if I could buy savouries answer was no, we are shut. Asked twice if they could put opening hours in the window. Helpful answer was “it’s on our website”. So anyone walking pass dont assume you can buy anything just because door is open. Always had great service before the deli. How rude.

Visited on a busy Saturday morning. Delightful staff front of house, kitchen well run by owner and assistant. Enjoyed a full English, eggs Benedict and they even did boiled eggs and soldiers for the kids! Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Chanced by whilst shopping in town. From the outside looked well inviting. Popped in for a cuppa and a cake. It was ok. A fair selection to choose from. Nice setting, very clean and bright. That's about it really. Not disappointing and not spectacular.

We dropped in for coffee and a cake - great service and the cakes were excellent. I can highly recommend the Eccles cake. Parking available on the High Street too.

Held a business meeting here and were delighted with the service, coffee and the WIFI for our laptops. Our empty coffee cups were removed swiftly once we had finished and we were asked if we would like more. Whilst I didn't eat at the time I took some sausage rolls and other homemade delicacies home which were delicious.

Walked in with one other customer in front of me. Waited 3 - 4 minutes whilst other people came in (obviously known) and were served before me. Humiliating so I left. Pity as I was looking for a regular spot for the rest of the parents to meet Saturday mornings. Never again and I will tell all to avoid unless they want ignoring as well

Popped in for a drink and cake on a Sunday. A tempting display on the counter of cakes to tempt you with. Sampled the coffee and the carrot cake, both tasty. A pleasant surprise of a male and female duo singing in the corner creating a nice touch and relaxing enjoyable atmosphere. Staff were also friendly. Worth dropping into.

I must have chosen a bad day! Having read all the reviews, I thought this was worth a visit. Oh how wrong I was. The frostiness of the service left me feeling quite uncomfortable. I ordered poached eggs on toast. The presentation was awful and the eggs of poor quality. If you are going to place poached eggs on toast, then please drain them of water! The toast was soggy; not nice. The coffee was tepid and weak. All in all, not impressed but maybe I chose the wrong day to visit.

As usual, a lovely meal with some of my brothers and their wives. Food was good, nicely cooked and tasty. Welcome was good.

I think the coffe here is the best on the High Street. My husband prefers the Italian cafe a few doors away. However, you certainly get the best welcome here. The only downside is that it's difficult to leave without buying one of their delicious pastries or cakes. Try the Eccles Cake.

My partner and I went here for breakfast on what was definitely a busy Saturday morning. However, this didn't have any effect on the length of time we had to wait and the food was both plentiful and of an excellent quality.

Well done Henley Bakery. We went there tonight for a Greek themed night. Food was great and plenty of it. Staff very friendly. Drinks reasonably priced. Live entertainment very good too. Can't wait for their next themed night.

A good selection of sandwiches on various breads and cakes made by them. I had a jacket potato with chilli (not too hot) and, unusually, traditional English Bread Pudding rarely seen outside the home. The others in the party had sandwiches on granary bread and our friend said that she wished that she could get ham like that in Canada. The Eccles Cakes looked good but I restrained myself.

Attractive coffee shop, pick up a fresh loaf while their! Awesome sandwich, great service lovely independent place. Went with our newborn daughter , spent a lovely hour in here highly recommend this place ❤

My wife and I have popped into this establishment for breakfast on many previous occasions on our way to Stratford and have enjoyed the friendly service and the good food served by the owner and her two daughters. Today we arrived and found that the establishment was under new management. Let me say right from the start that the food was excellent. However, the lady behind the counter who took my order had an attitude that fell short of what I had previously experienced in terms of friendliness. I ordered two light breakfasts and I requested that the filter coffee that was included in the deal be replaced with a latte. I expected that the price should have reflected the difference in cost between the two drinks. Not so. I was charged full price for the latte even though the filter coffee was not supplied. To add insult to injury when I proffered my credit card in payment I was told that an additional 20 pence would be added to my bill. I chose to pay cash on principal.

We visited March 2017 and had Bacon & mushroom + sausage & egg sandwiches. Good quality food and the granary bread was beautiful. There was a good selection of cakes, alas I was giving up cakes for Lent!

Went here on the way home from the park with my 1 year old. The service was surly without even a smile or a goodbye when we left. The cake was dry but the scone was very nice. It's the 2nd time I've been here as I thought I would give them another try but the service really lets it down. Such a shame.

We attended a Mexican Theme Night they put on here and it was fantastic. Great food and drink. Lovely service. A great use of a place normally closed in the evenings. Highly recommended. Book early if they run another one as they were pretty busy.

Having been here many times for coffee, I experienced breakfast for the first time. Went with the family including 2 children under 2 years old and were all made welcome. I also noted that it was a dog friendly restaurant. Definitely the best breakfast location in Henley.

Called back again to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt, however it has not changed my mind. Customer service is still poor and I don't like the defensive management responses to trip advisor reviews which they may not like. Why don't they listen to their customers comments??? Will not be back again

Second visit on a Saturday morning. First visit no cakes available! Visited again today, better choice but expensive. Coffee £2.00 a cup good value but egg custard and slice of gluten free bake well tart cake £6.50. Very expensive. Also given wrong change. Given back £5.50 from £20 pound note. Queried it and given further £4.00. No breakdown or receipt given. Plenty of choice in Henley for morning coffee so need to improve .
