Historic building still standing proud and tall let's keep these places in existence for future generations to go old and take there grand children there these places make us proud to how far we've come from there time we are all there future generations and we now need to keep it for ours

Beautiful old building in Stratford.. Sadly it was closed when we went.

Take a step back in time and visit this marvellous attraction the prices are really cheap and you can tickets for an affordable price where you can visit all the houses through out the year. I really enjoyed Hall's Croft it made me feel like I had gone through a time machine and ended up in the past. The house is kept in remarkable condition and is good for all your Shakespearian needs. Really recommend this place if you want to broaden your Shakespeare horizons.

Not as must-see as Shakespeare's birthplace, Hathaway's Cottage, or Holy Trinity Church. The croft is not associated with Shakespeare himself, but with his eldest child Susanna Hall where she lived with her physician husband. As the home of a doctor, its greatest point of historical interest is its medical garden which grows the herbs that Dr Hall would have used in his own early modern medical practice, making it a worthwhile destination for those attracted to medical history. Furthermore, Hall's Croft is an excellently preserved example of vernacular architecture furnished with 16th and 17th-century paintings and all sorts of seats, tables, cupboards, and things that true to the time of Susanna's residency. Do fit it in on your daytrip if you have the time; it makes a good pitstop between Shakespeare's grave and Hathaway's cottage

Well kept Shakespeare location, always a decent activity book for the kids to complete as you explore the house.

Great historical museum featuring the house of Shakespeare’s eldest daughter. Interesting for all ages, even younger children can get involved in the fun with a search and find throughout the museum.

Friendly guides, interesting exhibitions, lovely house and beautiful garden. Highly recommend.

This place really surpassed my expectations. We ate off the specials board and the food was homemade and tasted great. We are locals and hadn't eaten here before, we didn't really know much about it previously to be honest. Will definitely be back, probably could do with better marketing!

Maravillosa sopa casera, bollos de remolacha y queso con deliciosas ensaladas y tostadas para los niños. Y un gran café orgánico para llevar.

Fuimos a almorzar después de visitar el croft de Hall. Encontramos que la elección era limitada, la elección de postres también podría enumerarse mejor. pero la comida que tuvimos fue buena a un precio justo. Lo único negativo fue cuando todo el personal vino y se sentó a clasificar el lavaplatos que no funcionaba y también esperaba a que los clientes vinieran.

Recommend story time for young and old with a Shakespeare twist. Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful closes at 4pm so don't leave it til the end of the day!

One of the better attractions about Shakespeare as a lot more to see visually when visiting Stratford upon Avon..

Un poco alejado del centro de Stratford con Halls Croft no es uno de los principales lugares de interés de Shakespeare, por lo que nos resultó fácil conseguir una mesa para la hora del almuerzo. Buena variedad de baguettes y sándwiches, pasteles, sopas y algunas comidas ligeras. La baguette de salchicha con col roja y chutney de manzana era muy buena y diferente a la oferta habitual de sándwiches. Producto de procedencia local, incluida la carne de res de Shakespeare ganado de cuerno largo

It’s a very nice museum of Shakespeare’s home. I believe it was where Shakespeare’s eldest daughter and her husband, Dr John Hall lived. There’s a fascinating collection of antiques and historical medical equipment. The architecture also offers glimpses into the past culture. There’s a nice garden out back and a cafe where you could get cream tea.

A lovelly house, more interesting than Shakespeare's birthplace in my opinion.

A trip back into how the world looked in Shakespeares time. Staff are very friendly and know their subject (no question to trivial), a fantastic way to send a afternoon also a tearoom with good home cooking.

Loved all the Shakespeare sites. Definitely get the full pass and see all 5.

Excellent National Trust property and well worth a visit. History of the people and house well told.

Called in for a quick drink and cake towards the end of a cold day on a brief visit to Stratford. Had been here before and enjoyed it so came again. Enjoyed the warmth and cosy atmosphere as we had a nice drink and enjoyed a variety of cakes between us. All went down well and warmed us up nicely for the rest of the afternoon. Plenty of options available including gluten free.

Stopped here for a coffee and looked at the cakes! A cream tea always shouts ‘eat me’, so we did. At £5.55, not bad value. Shame only strawberry jam but scone huge!

Very pleasant eatery just away from the bustle of the town. Very attentive staff, good food and a very good pot of tea. Well worth further visits.

I had a pot of tea and the soup of the day, which was cauliflower. It was a very nice place to rest for an hour

Interesting structure with an unusual history

Interesting to see old medical practices followed by and equipments used by Shakespeare's son in law. He used to write down all his cases in Latin. Some of these have been translated and displayed.

Nice garden and the house is showing you how the peoples actualy lived.

Called prior to visiting the hall/house next door for coffee and cake mid morning. Wife enjoyed a cream tea which came with a filter coffee if tea wasn't your choice £5.55. I selected a cheese scone from the cake selection available, which at £1.95 was good value and tasty as well. A selection of speciality teas included roobios. The cafe area is spacious and airy rather than cosy and intimate. Probably suits the throughput of customers well as most are probably visiting the house anyway. Service also came with a friendly smile from the waitress.

Good place and history of Shakespeare's

Amazing to delve back into history to see how people lived and particularly what medical understanding was at that time. To the modern eye, some of it (particularly the medical instruments which were used) caused one to cringe. But very interesting nonetheless.

We went to all the Shakespeare places in Stratford. All were interesting, this one had a lovely garden, and interesting information on medicine!

Best so far of the Shakespeare's homes

Ate here recently, the food was amazing. We had the chicken satay and fishcakes off the specials board. Great flavour and portions, some ingredients are from their own garden as well! Will definitely be back.

A very interesting part of Shakespeariene history, as well as a fascinating view of medicine in those days. Also has on display a chair with original upholstery!

Very informative and helpful staff. The property has been beautifully maintained and gives a good depiction of life during Tudor times. Highly recommend as part of the Shakespeare houses tour if Stratford upon avon.

Brilliant! Fantastic place full of history I recommend getting the full package ticket and doing all 5 places although we only managed 3 in a day! Absolutely stunning gardens friendly staff and amazing artifacts to see. Lots for children to learn, our two teenage boys really enjoyed the experience. Lots of local car parks charging around £2 an hour. All Saints church within walking distance to see Shakespeares Grave but be prepared to pay £4 an adult and £1 a child. Situated close to the town, Shakespeare birthplace and New place it is a lovely day out!

The home of Shakespeare's daughter & her husband (if you watch Upstart Crow, the stroppy teen). Husband was a Dr, so a section on remedy's & instruments of the day.

Lovely house gardens. The staff are great and so is the coffee. We lovely it here and really good for children.

Not my favourite out of the houses but well worth a visit. The garden isn't as extensive as the some of the others but if you have an inclusive ticket, it's worth the trip. Very close to the church where Shakespeare is buried and there is a lovely walk back along the river. Look at some the the lovely old houses on the walk out. It is only 10 minutes walk from New place so is a good round trip. The cafe is excellent and all freshly made

Located near the church housing the grave of Shakespeare. Worth a visit as a pleasant enough environment for coffee and cake or a light meal if visiting the sites in this area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately for me the visit was spoiled half way through eating a fruit scone to find that it had not been cooked properly and the centre was raw dough! Yuk.

Whilst visiting Hall's Croft we needed a cuppa and decided to have something a little more substantial. We were warmly welcomed and seated and had a look through the decent sized lunch menu. There was plenty to chose from and some nice looking cakes. We opted for baguettes and a cream tea, all of which went down well. The ingredients were locally sourced and the beef in particular was very good. The ambiance was relaxed despite the fact we'd just missed the lunch time rush. I'd certainly eat there again.

Very interesting met a very knowledgeable guide who spent time talking to us . lovely day so sat in the garden for coffee and delicious cake.

If it's as good on the inside as it is on the outside I would say it's worth a visit.
