Thai Lanna has a clean, and pleasant interior which elevates the dining experience, and creates a nice atmosphere. The service was very good, and food was brought relatively quickly. However, despite much of the food being delicious, two of the people I was with suffered food poisoning after eating their meals, which is quite off putting for future visits. Additionally, the food bill was not broken down, and so extra time was taken to try and work out the cost of each individual item, which proved time consuming.

We visited at lunchtime and ordered fish & chips & scampi and chips. Debbie took the order and served us quickly. The food and service was fabulous and we will definitely return.

Fantastic Sunday dinner today at a very good price of 2 for £16 and kids for £5.Everything on the plate was delicious! The girls who served us very very polite and friendly, would highly recommend the George and dragon 2nd time we have eaten here in a week both times were great.

If I could, I would have given a minus figure to this review First of all, I have visited this restaurant many times and always enjoyed the food and ambience. I have even commented positively to friends. However, this will not happen again! My daughter and I visited Pasta Piazza, Stone on Thursday, 13th February. We had been to Derby shopping for a bridal dress for my daughter and decided to call at our favourite restaurant to end the evening. We booked on-line for 8:45pm. Due to unforeseen traffic restrictions, we did not arrive until 8:50pm. We were not asked initially, as is normal, for a drink - in fact I had to beckon to the waitress after 20 minutes for her to take our order. We also ordered 2 glasses of wine with our order. The drinks arrived promptly but after another 20 minutes had lapsed we were starting to wonder where our food was. As we had not had anything to eat since lunchtime, we tried to save our wine for our meal as I was driving and didn't want to go above the limit. It was about 9:30pm when a very embarrassed bar gentleman came to our table. He said he "didn't know how to say this, so I shall simply say it". He continued to say that the chefs had all gone home and the kitchen was now closed. He had rang the chefs who said that they were half-way home and would not now be returning to the restaurant. He said the 2 glasses of wine, we already had, would be "on the house". He walked away. Obviously in view of the time we were too late to go to any other restaurant, we did not want to finish off the"free" wine for obvious reasons and we got up to leave. On the way out I asked the embarrassed bar man if i could speak to the Manager. He said that he too had gone home but promised to speak to him the next day. I left my telephone number and email address. It is now over 2 weeks and I am still waiting for some acknowledgement. Not even an apology or explanation has been received. I find this attitude to be very disappointing indeed and needless to say we will certainly not recommend this restaurant to anyone again and will not re-visit again in the future.

Nice chips but the Massive large portion of chips wasn't that big Liam from work said it would feed at least 10! Feel sorry for him small cone fills him up. Did enjoy the sausage in batter though!

My wife and I popped in on a Friday morning. Very glad we did - great food, great staff, great coffee and really good value. Started chatting to other people in cafe - they loved it too - freshly cooked food and more than enough on the plate for the healthiest of appetites. Looking forward to going for breakfast on Saturday. A real find

The service made the day. From start to finish, the waiting on staff were really attentive and friendly. I have been the Hanley Bloom but the service is far better here. Maybe it’s dependent on how busy it is I suppose. But well done to everyone involved here. The only minus point would be the selection but beggars can’t be choosers

The food was cold and greasy, pizza the cheeses is hard, ordered meal deal came with no chips or drink. Rang up to speak to them manager very aggressive threatening my partner down the phone to come round but changed his tone when I took over the call. I would not entertain giving them business

Darren certainly went the extra mile for me: their gluten free bread had not delivered and even though the place was really busy, he sent someone to the supermarket to buy some, which meant I could have breakfast. The shakshuka was excellent too.

Took the children for an Easter treat and it was shocking. Ordered 2 unicorn monster shakes which should have been strawberry and bubblegum and a Eton mess monster shake. Both were flavourless and over priced glass of warm milk with Mr Whippy ice cream which I could have made at home for less money and I would have put some flavour in. When asked if they are supposed to be strawberry milkshake and strawberry and bubblegum we were told yes. I told them they weren’t and all the young lad said was “oh right” and walked off.

We visited as a family on Sunday 2nd feb, the staff were friendly (Debbie) she made us feel so welcome. We were with our 3 dogs and children. 1 of our children has a nut allergy and Debbie helped us to throughly check the menu her service went above and beyond. The whole atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed and the food was great quality for the money we will definitely be visiting again Thank you

Visited with a friend last night, enjoyed it, felt very authentic in there are food was excellent. Large portions, nice and hot, friendly service.
