Took the children for an Easter treat and it was shocking. Ordered 2 unicorn monster shakes which should have been strawberry and bubblegum and a Eton mess monster shake. Both were flavourless and over priced glass of warm milk with Mr Whippy ice cream which I could have made at home for less money and I would have put some flavour in. When asked if they are supposed to be strawberry milkshake and strawberry and bubblegum we were told yes. I told them they weren’t and all the young lad said was “oh right” and walked off.

Top Marks love this place . Grandson treated me for my birthday as he knows that it's one place that I like and have visited frequently

Disappointed to say the least, We arrived and was advised they were full yet there was a raised area with 4 stools so I asked if we could sit there, he said yes upon waking up to that area I could see there was a table free but had glasses and dishes on, I asked if we could sit here and I offered to help move everything from the table, it took him 3 visits to the table to clear it and went back on the till half way through cleaning stopped for a sip of his drink and then carried on cleaning it 🙈 it was not busy so there is no need for the staff to look so bloody fed up! Customer service was shocking and this needs looking into. It’s a child milkshake paradise yet no one makes an effort, no-one greeted us, no one smiles. No atmosphere and the staff look like are always rushing yet it was not busy? I have visited many times over the years and the last time I went was not great however, I thought I would try again and I won’t be visiting again. They got the order wrong and when I pointed it out the reply I got was ‘It went through on the screen as that’ that doesn’t mean it’s correct then does it as the member if staff obviously pressed the wrong key. Anything that you order they do not serve in the correct manner it’s just put on the end of the table and they walk off before you can even say thank you. People pay a lot of money for a milkshake or food so there should be a level of customer service, start by being polite, helpful, smile and just say hello. Toilet is very small and not very clean. The milkshakes my children had were fantastic but not worth the price as you don’t get as much decoration as you used to yet they charge more. I would advise wet wipes would be great, napkins on the table as every time you need something to have to get up and ask. We paid £32 for 2 milkshakes, 2 hot chocolates and a cookie dough dessert. This place could be so much more!

This place is exactly what you need for a treat. There was a bit of a queue before being seated (about 15mins wait) but the oatcakes and milkshakes certainly made up for that. Wow I’ve never had a milkshake like that before. I went for the eaton mess one and my sister in law went for the kinda bueno one, both were delicious as were the oatcakes. Staff very friendly even though they are under a lot of pressure with how busy it is. Recommend 100%

Unfortunately we have never experienced actually feeling uncomfortable by the service of staff. We waited at the door as per sign instruction, a lady came over and honestly just barked “sit in or take away”. We advised sit in please, she said “that table there”, we sat, and honest to god she actually just threw the menus at us. Now I know that sounds in believable if they are thin sheets but she did. It’s difficult to explain what she was doing wrong, but there was no pleasantry’s, no please or thank yous or checking things were ok, and honestly we was just shocked at how blunt she was. Food decently priced, partner really enjoyed the monster milkshake however did comment that the milkshake itself didn’t taste very Chocolatly and was quite watery. Food served super quick. Waitress did lighten up when served our food and had a breif chat. Another negative (sorry!) we thought staff wearing joggers looked completely unprofessional. Trainers and croc shoes were fine but a lot of the lads just looked like they’d rolled in from chilling at home to work. Overall a decent place for desert, we travelled as LDS Stafford was being refurbed. It did curb our sweet cravings so thank you.

Nice food, quick service , pleasant staff , would definitely eat there again but the toilet was disgusting only 1 toilet for all !!! Shame as otherwise great place , loved the music playing too fab .

Visited here for the first time further to looking at the website and menu. Firstly I would like to say that the website drastically needs updating as the menu has seen prices rises of up to 50% from the advertised, eg breakfast £7, now over £10. The 4 meals arrived separately over quite a length of time, the first potentially getting cold. Another observation is that the staff are in need of basic customer service training. We questioned that one of our received orders was incorrect, when the boy came over to see to this had only one answer and that was to pay extra if we wanted to change anything. The fact that it was ordered incorrectly by the member of staff keying in the order was ignored by him. Tied in with a couple of other service issues and overall the food I would only class as OK, nothing would give me the desire to return to this establishment again. Learn quickly.

The experience was amazing. The milkshakes were awesome, and the oatcakes were really good with the cheese. It was melted and stringy.

Disappointed- not what it used to be. Ordered 4 milkshakes that claimed to be ‘different’ on the menu but were infact the same base of plain chocolate milkshake with a few different sprinkles on. One was supposed to be a s’mores one - this consisted of a few marshmallows on top. No toasted ones in sight or biscuits with a plain chocolate base. One brownie one - was supposed to be chocolate cake but they had ran out so had replaced with brownie instead. The only difference between this one and the last was addition of a small brownie piece and take off the marshmallows. The next a monster shake again wanted a fudge cake but ran out of this too. Had to swap for Nutella. Again same base of the same chocolate shake as the last ones. 90 % ice cream on the top and a little shake. Last was a Crème Egg - the only that made it a crème egg was the addition of one plonked on the top. When we last went a few years ago it was yummy - all shakes were the flavour of the item - so crème egg had bits of crème egg in the milkshake, a Nutella one tasted of Nutella and had it in the milkshake mix. General place was run down, dirty and stained chairs, generally very shabby and unloved. Wait time was vey long with only one person cleaning tables and seeing to people waiting. It took this person 10 minutes to clean this table so someone could sit. Won’t be in a rush to return. All this cost a whopping £25.20!!

Brilliant service, very polite and helpful, and the milkshake (the Kinder Monster) was truly monstrous and at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

Me and my family visited oatcakes and milkshakes for first time today. We absolutely loved it the staff were really friendly and the food was lovely.

Unfortunately I found a hair in my oatcake and when we sent it back we got told that there was no one with that colour hair in the kitchen. I felt like it was being suggested it was mine.. even though the hair was inside the oatcake and wrapped around a sausage, and also no one wearing hair nets. Very poor customer service.

We visited here this Sunday, it was very busy as expected but and we were extremely impressed how the staff went above and beyond to make our family feel extra special even when they were rushed off there feet. top marks from us all and can’t wait to visit again :-)

After hearing all the great reviews on this place we decided to pay a visit I called first to check the opening times as it was new year's eve 2 o'clock closing, so we drove the 50min drive to stone to queueing outside, we arrived 12.40 plenty of time before closing to be told we couldn't be served and there were no ingredients 🙄now as a buissness owner myself why would you not take bookings with small deposits or inform me b4 my 50min journey you were busy and short of ingredients. Now my option is they didn't want to serve people as they were closing in 1 hour 15 mins they obviously wernt the owners of the venue if so I would try my best to accommodate people I even said I'd rang and travelled to which the lady wasn't even bothered what sort of customer service is that?

This place has rapidly gone downhill. I used to love it here but the quality has dipped a lot and the prices aren't justified anymore. My sister got a oreo milkshake from the vegan menu as she has a dairy intolerance they had ran out of dairy free ice cream for the milkshake so substituted it with ice. £7 for blended ice and oreos is ridiculous and my freakshake was very watery.

Me and my partner woke up fancying a Sunday dinner, but then we thought no, let’s have something different and get some oatcakes. I have been here before and my partner hadn’t. We ordered click and collect and it was ready in 15 minutes. The oatcakes were lovely, the hash brown sharer filled us up, my partners milkshake was so nice that I had to have a try. My Nutella hot chocolate as always is the nicest hot chocolate I’ve ever had. I think this may have to be a regular Sunday treat.

We had to arrange to come here on a weekday because a few weeks ago on a Saturday there was a huge queue.. it was worth the wait!

Decided to take my mum for her first visit seeing as we were going to Stone Market. Upon entering told which booth to goto and told to us qr code to order from the app. If my mum was on her own she couldn't have done it as no smart phone. I struggled trying to navigate through the app to order. Took ages to find just basic oatcake items. Then ages to get to drinks. Better functionality needed to jump to menu items rather than scrolling. Or better still order the old fashioned way by talking. Understandable during covid but now no need. Food arrived before drinks, all we wanted was a tea and iced latte. Then had no cutlery for ages. It's such a shame as food is really good doing great oatcakes the old fashioned way with great bacon. Could do with a bit more flavour personally in the cheese but again my taste. Hopefully will improve.

You won’t find another place like this in Staffordshire! Completely unique and delicious! The monster milkshakes really add a special touch and you can see how much time abs effort goes into each one they make! Always love a trip here!

I'm a regular customer and its my fav place to visit when in and around stone. me and my friends always feel very safe with the covid measures in place and we absolutely love the upgrade interior, very high end!

I come here semi regularly with work mates at lunch. Consistently decent vege English breakfast with oatcakes included. Friendly staff too! Very filling for a good price

Arrived at around lunch time, had to wait for a table as they were quite busy - this was absolutely fine. When we were asked to wait it felt like it was an inconvenience that we wanted to eat here and that us waiting was a problem. But we waited. After about 15 mins we were given menus to look at, then eventually seated after another 15 mins. We were then given another 15 mins to look at the menu whilst more and more guests were seated. When we we eventually got our food it was great however the place itself felt quite grubby and was riddled with wasps. All in all, it was okay. Just not quick, or clean.

Excellent service as usual!!,milkshake was delicious can not wait to come back in for a yummy breakfast!!. You can see the All hard work that has gone into the shop to keep everyone safe!! staff were also amazing! Thankyou o&m

Really happy with our visit today. The food & milkshakes were lovely and the service & staff were great. Guidelines were followed well for Covid 19 with hand sanitiser on arrival, booth tables so are sitting back to back, ordering from the tables and stickers on the floor which staff follow when serving. Will definitely be visiting again

We came here for a birthday treat for my 11 year old today. 2 adults and 3 children. Was a bit apprehensive about eating out with all the social distancing on place but the team were actually really good and the layout inside was well set up - also giving an option to eat outside. Lea and Jay were our servers and were brilliant!There's a good choice of food and milkshakes....my only issue was no gluten free options for my sister....however... she was able to order an omelette with toppings.Overall this place is amazing and can easily but you into a food coma!! What's great is they will box up your food and milkshakes if you can't finish them - which is highly likely given the size of them!!Parking is readily available just round the corner and the town is lovely for a little walk around to walk off the 1000s of calories you've just eaten! Will definitely visit again.P.s....the pancakes are soooooooo good!!!

Visited outcakes and milkshakes with my partner and his mother today to celebrate his birthday, we were greeted and seated by Leamai & Jay she was very helpful when ordering our customised orders. Our order was processed very quickly and was lovely and hot. Very friendly and helpful.

Came here with friends and surprised her little girl for a treat due to lockdown, first time out in 6/7 months. We all thoroughly enjoyed our treats, white kinder bueno pancakes and maple pancakes for my friends little girl and then a large full English and some oatcakes. We love the new layout and meet and greet, Lea-Mai is a lovely girl who met us and served us through our visit. Thanks so much for making it enjoyable again. Keep up the excellent work team - your lockdown open up is successful and booming trade while we were there even for take out. Thank you so so much we will be back.

I asked them to deliver an order to West Bromwich for my retirement. They couldn't have been more helpful, it was delivered on time, well wrapped and exactly what I asked for. Hopefully we have converted some Black Country people to Oatcakes as some staff had never heard of them, but were well impressed!Thoroughly recommend their oatcakes and delivery service.

First visit to this wonderful place for a family breakfast party. Warmly greeted, all 7 of us seated together. Oatcakes, pancakes, cookies and breakfasts ordered were all excellent value. Milkshakes were works of art and tasted delicious. Food and service were exceptional. Thank you to all the lovely staff.

Food was ok, shakes were lovely but service was terrible. Waited ages for a table which wasn’t very clean. Waited ages at the till to order. Waited ages for food. Staff weren’t very helpful or friendly and certainly not enough of them.

Visited today and what a shambles. Have visited before on several occasions and enjoyed it but today it was like a completely different place. Food was mediocre but the service was terrible. Tables were dirty and sticky. People were crammed in like sardines. I used a high chair for my son and it was disgusting and needed a good clean first. The queue ordering food was way too long, food took much longer than normal to come abc was no where near as nice as times we have been before. We had food first then wanted to order shakes after but the queues were too long so we gave up and left. Such a shame as it was my daughters birthday and where she chose to go. Won’t be visiting again as this place has massively gone down

Not many outside this area have heard of them let alone tasted them.Making oatcakes is an art, resting on the secret ingredients which many of the makers keep close to their chest.oatcakes and milkshakes is a great visit has they specialise in making oatcakes. You can have them stuffed with bacon and cheese or just plain,meat in or takeaway.

After seeing the delicious posts on Facebook as decided to go in for some tasty treats. It was a twenty minute drive so we were ready to eat by the time we got there. We pulled on to the car park as on the Facebook site it states 'onsite parking' all the parking was for disabled only so we had to park elsewhere. We walked across and there was a slight queue which we didn't mind waiting the member of staff informed us that there would be a 5-10 minute wait and gave us menus. This is when it started to go wrong. Soon as a table was available it was a free for all people pushed past us and we then had to wait longer for seating. When we finally got a seat (after deciding to seat our selves although it says please wait to be seated) we looked at the menu and decided on what we would like. We went up to the counter to order we waited for some time to be served whilst the 4 members of staff behind the counters scurried around. When we finally got served we were informed that their was no white chocolate so we went for a different flavour cookie dough to find they didn't have any cookies in. I asked the member of staff what they did have in to which she replied just the oatcakes or breakfast. Safe to say we left feeling deflated and won't be making the journey in a hurry again.

Oatcakes delicious and well-priced. They'd run out of mushroom but the black pudding I chose instead was actually really good. A veeery long wait for our food as it was quite busy. Decor is fairly tacky and shabby. Nevertheless would probably visit again.

I visited Oatcakes and Milkshakes with my grandson and nephew. As it was half term it was extremely busy. We were lucky that we turned up when we did because the queue behind us grew rapidly. We were seated at the breakfast bar so we had a good view of the food as it was being cooked. I was quite surprised that the chefs didn’t wear protective clothing (aprons or hats) as having attended many food hygiene courses over the years, I thought this was priority! I ordered a small breakfast for £4.50 and was pleasantly surprised with the size and the quality. It came with a hash brown, mushrooms and black pudding and of course a traditional Staffordshire oatcake. The boys had a milk shake each and I’m glad I didn’t order them food aswell as the milkshake filled them up for most of the day! Unfortunately my nephew was given the wrong order and it was whisked away from him after he had started to eat it. His new one came soon after and I don’t know what happened to the original but, as it looked very similar to the one that was taken away, I feel it would’ve been better to ask if he was happy to have that one instead of taking it away without explanation. Despite this we loved our visit and can’t wait to come back to sample the Christmas menu.

Ordered takeaway to workplace for a variety of oatcakes, and none were impressed. The food was passable for edible, the sausage was chewy and overcooked, and yet the beans some how managed to be dry, the bacon felt like it had been cooked yesterday, it would hurt somebody it was that solid.

Friendly service lovely food made fresh and so are the milkshakes you can have the to takeaway as well

We visited oatcakes and milkshakes with family and friends today. We didn’t have to wait long for a table, I think for how busy it was a bigger premises would be even better for this business as it was packed out. The staff were pleasant and polite and the food was brilliant. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a big full English breakfast before until I had one here today.

I really love eating here as everything is amazing. Probably the best oatcakes ever and the milkshakes are delicious. Love taking people who aren’t local to try an oatcake. Also the cookie dough is lovely and warm and served in a cute skillet pan with mr whippy ice cream. It’s got a nice feel to it and the staff are lovely, I would definitely recommend coming here. :)

It was a busy day when we visited so sat outside and did have to wait for a while after ordering, but it tasted very nice so worth the wait, being from Stoke on Trent i was brought up on oatcakes and love them, so this place is well worth visiting if you like them. Did not have milkshake so cannot comment really apart from they look really tasty.

This is a bit of an odd place considering. It combines traditional North Staffordshire Oatcakes witht Trendy milkshakes. We take all our out of Staffordshire guests to this place. Again, out of character this place has an American Diner feel but the Oatcakes are great and although I've never tried the milkshakes they look delicious. I just can't manage them with Oatcakes. For those who don't know what they are they are are sort of crepe filled with a choice of combination of bacon, cheese, sausage, egg and tomato. Delicious!

Visited on a Saturday afternoon with the husband, got a seat straight away didnt have to wait at all. The table was rocking so I spoke to a waiter and she moved us to another table straight away. Ordered a vegetarian breakfast and an oatcake and 2 milkshake. The girl behind the till was so friendly and helpful. The food itself was really nice and considering this was my first ever proper oatcake experience I really enjoyed it. I ordered a bubblegum milkshake however I felt like I couldn't taste the bubblegum once again I asked one of the waiters to change it for me and she did straight away. Over all I was very very impressed by the customer service provided on the day, food and milkshakes where also very yummy and value for money was good also. Only negative I would say was bathroom could have been slightly cleaner but it wouldn't stop me from going back there again! Definitely recommend this as a pit stop!

What a complete shambles this place is...

Excellent oatcakes, mine was bacon, cheese and hashbrown, absolutely delicious. We all had monster shakes aswell. While some people comment the milkshakes are expensive, mine was the red velvet and it's a milkshake and a slab of cake on the top.....essentially a drink and a dessert in one.....so this is good value for money and will look forward to returning.

I visited Oatcakes and Milkshakes with my girlfriend briefly when showing her around some popular spots in the local area. I'd never been to Oatcakes and Milkshakes either and was eager to try it as I had heard a lot about it.

Have to say a big thank you to the staff for going out and getting lactose free milk so that my granddaughter could join us in having one of their gorgeous milkshakes. The oatcakes were really good too. Only disappointment was the cheap sauce sachets. Overall though an enjoyable visit and will definitely be going back to try something else from their fantastic menu.

Came for breakfast with my boyfriend, Staff were friendly and polite. Cool retro feeling indoors and nice outdoor seating too. Milkshakes were yummy! Breakfast was cooked perfectly and was a perfect breakfast date 🙌 Thankyou very much!

Popped in whilst visiting Stone. Easter Sunday, so we were thrilled to find them open. Very exciting menu, all treats. The staff were happy and really pleasant and we sat outside in the sun and had our milkshakes brought out to us. I asked for something that wasn’t on the menu and it was no problem at all ( a piece of cheesecake with ice cream ) reasonable prices too. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone

Tasty, proper Staffordshire oatcakes with any filling you want. Follow this with incredible monster milkshakes or my wife’s favourite the cookie dough, this comes in a skillet cooked on the oatcake burner.

I have used this place to eat and make purchases. The food is freshly cooked and really hot when delivered, it has a great selection and is a very busy place.Although I don't have milkshakes they seem tobe very popular, if you like oatcakes this is the best place to visit. I love oatcakes and purchase them to take away in small and large quantities.

Visited here at weekend, mega busy but still really enjoyed ourselves. I had large breakfast (cooked lovely) and my girlfriend had double cheese bacon and sausage. We shared a Monster Shake which looked and tasted amazing! Will be back again

Great food. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Milkshake heaven with every possible taste possible catered for if it’s not in the menu you can create your own.

Milkshakes to die for! Lovely quaint place perfect for a get together with freinds, and can’t fault the food either!

Me and my partner visited around two weeks ago on a relatively quiet Sunday morning. We waited 15 minutes to be seated (which we were fine with) and both ordered a basic milkshake and pancakes (As other reviews have stated it was freezing cold as the door does not close by itself and so I had to sit with my coat and wooly hat on... indoors)

Love visiting here with my girlfriend! The milkshakes are crazy and never fail to disappoint either of us. Great selection of food on offer to at an amazing cheap price. Recommend this place to everyone! Suits all ages

There were lots of young unhappy unprofessional

We've been a few times and loved it here, its always been fun, friendly, fast and cheap but nice food. We went today for breakfast and it was a disaster. It always used to be busy but with a quick turnaround we always found a table. Today we went in and sat down, just as my husband was ordering we were told we couldn't sit here. Ok right, we have no other option but to have the food to take away then. We then waited 45 minutes for our take away order, got and drank my cold 1/2 cup of coffee, got our food and there was no take away cutlery so had to find someone to get us some. Went back and sat in the car to eat as there was more inviting surroundings; food was revolting. Oatcakes very mushy thrown on the side. Husbands vegetarian breakfast had obviously been cooked on a gridle next to the meat.

We really liked it here. The milkshakes were very good my little girl had the unicorn milkshake and she loved it. The oatcakes were really good too. We had a double cheese and a double cheese and sausage, both were great but one criticism would be the tomato sauce the packets on the table tasted terrible. I no it's petty but that was the only downside and the only reason to drop a star.

Me and my friends meet up weekly in stone for a coffee and catch up, we fancied trying somewhere new as we got quite bored of our usual costa trips.

We visited Oatcakes & Milkshakes this morning in Stone after a dentist visit. On arrival we were unsure it it was open, thankfully it was. There was only one member of staff in the building, he cooked our Order to perfection and delivered our drinks in between. A most enjoyable half hour before setting off for work. Well done.

The service speed always lets this place down. There were only a couple of tables in when we visited. Yet the wait for our 4 milkshakes seemed to take forever. Definitely needs more staff making the shakes. When they arrived the kids enjoyed them although a little restless from the wait.
