The best restaurants in Forebridge Stafford West Midlands

Upon arrival, we were seated at our table with haste, left unattended for several minutes. When asked for drinks, we inquired for some tap water which was provided, but with no glasses provided. We finally got to give our food order, which covered 8 people. Since some of our party had less of an appetite, they wanted to share their main courses with another member. However, the waiter told us that we were not allowed to to eat at the restaurant unless every individual ordered their own main dish. We were confused by this, since we had eaten here before and were allowed to share our dishes. Yet the waiter was adamant about this, refusing our request. We left the premises soon after. It's a shame that we were willing to try this place again to such restrictive rules.

Great food, excellent service always with a smile and a great atmosphere

My dinner party of 22 enjoyed a great Thursday evening at the Bengal Lounge. The private function room upstairs catered to all our needs. We were served popadums with mint yoghurt, mango chutney and chilli as the waiter took our orders. I had a mixed kebab as a starter and my main course was lamb shah (lamb shank) served with a garlic and corriander naan. I was pleasantly astonished when the lamb shank arrived because it was absolutely enormous. Cooked to perfection in mild tomato based curry sauce the tender meat just fell off the bone. Lamb is my favourite meat and I don't get to eat it very often in Japan so I was extremely satisfied with my dinner. The menu has a huge variety of starters, specialities and sides for all tastes including vegetarian.

terrible. first of all whys there grapes in a salad? why is there MORE grapes than tomatos? the tomatos are vile, couldnt cut through the jacket potato. tuna was discusting was waiting 40 mins and everyone who came in after us got served first they even had there puddings before we got our lunch

This place is disgusting! As much as I love being here on a Saturday night, the way the bouncers and owners have dealt with my friend is appalling. To grab her the way they did is wrong. She is of age and had proof of id which they let her in for however still treated her in such a way with no reason. When trying to speak to the bouncers and owners about this they were unreasonable and unhelpful. Instead of being polite they were rude and horrible. To deal with young girls like this is not acceptable no matter whether it’s their job or not! The bouncers here last night (04/05/24) were much more lovely and would never have done such a thing. I am stunned I cannot believe it.

Good quality Indian takeaway and sit in serve alcoholic drinks and good selection. I’ve tried a few in Stafford for consistency and this one always comes out top

Staff are always friendly and respectful. I always go for the homity pie or quiche but this time I tried the new sticky chicken wings. Small portion but it was great

Amazing food, great customer service and food knowledge on all dishes. Top marks. Both me and my partner enjoyed both dishes and an array of sides. All amazing

The chicken here is so good and full of flavour. I think we have ordered most of the menu now. The burrito boxes are huge and great for take away and everything is always packaged perfectly. I really love this place and as others have said it’s Stafford hidden gem. Go eat there :) or order take out.

Best Salt and Pepper chicken / chips I've had in a long time and at publishing cost £8.50 for both in a box. Proper job thanks again right by a popular venue in Stafford, 2/3 mins walk from the station

Have a friend who was Alumni from Stafford catering college over 30 years ago so I suggested we go back to his old stomping ground and see what is on offer. And rather glad we did. Food excellence at under 30 pounds a head. Loved it all with some truly outstanding dishes (if it's on when you go there, WE cannot recommend the cheese custard starter enough) Such exciting young trainee chefs and front of staff, brilliant experience and you owe it yourself if you truly love food to go and be well fed by the future staff members of restaurants.

Our first time visiting and it was amazing! Spotless clean, friendly staff and some of the best food we’ve ever had. Oh, and they pour a good Guinness too!
