Very friendly atmosphere, busy with a happy buzz. Friendly, well informed staff and a good menu with plenty of variety. We had Sunday lunch here and the food was excellent. A good choice of beers.

Great local pub friendly atmosphere friendly bar staff clean and tidy large selection of drinks up to date jukebox pool table all sports usually available great place to meet if you’re catching the train and always somebody to chat with 😁

I'm surprised we've never been here before. We sat outside with my dog. We went in to the restaurant, it was large, bright and airy. Find your own table and order at the till. The range of cakes was excellent, scone, gateau, flapjacks to marmalade cake, which was excellent. They serve soy milk as an alternative. The cafe supports adults with learning difficulties. We can't wait to go back.

The owner looks after his customer very well. My chicken burger and chips was made pretty well. Good portion of chips. The prices are pretty cheap and reasonable as well. Glad I popped by. Not many eats outs around this area. I worked out it was four and this comes up top. Will pop by again.

The best Sunday lunch in the area (by which I mean Oswestry / Shrewsbury / Welshpool) hands down. The salt-cooked swede, the roast parsnip, the perfect roast potatoes, the gravy - bloody great.

Visited this place with a couple of friends this Saturday evening. There were items on the menu that we didn't recognise. The waiter was excellent at describing exactly what was in each dish, and advising dependant on your tastes. Firstly I decided to try the aubergine chaat. Amazing! 😋 One friend sampled the chicken special and was very happy with her choice, and the other friend went for traditional samosa. All enjoyed. For main I chose the king prawn alleppy, which was perfect for me. My friends chose to have chicken dishes and they said they were very different from each other and delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant with ambient table lighting. Service was very good, and of course with a smile. We all want to return as soon as we can.

We had a dog with us so were prevented (amicably) from using the restaurant, but availed ourselves of a wonderful meal in the bar. Log fire blazing a good range of drinks with a "fabulous Merlot" and friendly staff and fellow customers. A traditional pub. Prices, in this day and age, were amazing. All in all it was a great night out. Well recommended.

Picked this course as near where we were staying. A lovely welcoming place, staff helpful to out of area visitors happily recommending restaurants in the area, Sammy I particular went out of her way by writing a whole list of places for us. The owner Angela was lovely once again very helpful. They have a good range of both ladies and men’s clothing etc which it was great to rummage through. Club house spotlessly clean and tidy with a lovely balcony area which overlooks the 1st tee and fairway. The course is immaculate, greens superb. It’s is parkland so open fairways but some tricky holes which hidden greens. Throughly enjoyed this course.

I have been here quite a few times for the quiz night and we really enjoy it !! The food is of a good standard and the service is usually high standard however, on this visit my table of 4 ordered at the same time but 2 of our meals didn't arrive until after the 2 that did were eaten !! Bit of a shame to what was otherwise a good evening !! More staff required I would advise !! The waitress that took my complaint was brilliant, very understanding !! I felt sorry for her being under so much pressure as the place was very busy. We will definitely be back !!
