Excellent family meal today, staff were lovely, excellent choice of food with great prices for drink and food. Cosy bar with a lovely fire. Very welcoming. Will definitely return.

I used to live in Weston Rhyn for 4 years and I’d never once been to this pub, moved out and tried it for the first time last night, and honestly it was one of the nicest meals I’ve had! We had a lovely friends night out and all had 3 courses and it was so cheap!! I had vegetable soup to start and I wasn’t sure what to expect… nicest vegetable soup I think I’ve ever tasted, it was so creamy, I could have easily eaten it for started, main and desert. I had the hanging halloumi for main, that was really nice, not too salty like some halloumi, and the chips were perfectly cooked, I even ate the salad on the hanging!! Then I finished with a trillionaire tart, beautiful!! Their menu has such a wide variety of mains and desserts. I even loved the fact they had a Korma for a curry choice, as not many places do that! A really really homely family run pub, hidden away that I would recommend to anyone!!

This is my second review of the Butchers. Once again it delivered in spades. Staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming. The locals were quick to engage my partner and I in conversation. Bloody smashing. All that said, it is what comes out of the kitchen that is just stunning. The lady in the kitchen is a genius with magic hands. My partner had the 16oz Sirloin.... Again! See the pics. Once we had ordered, the sign of a top notch eatery is when you see meals being taken to other tables you immediately get food envy. I can't praise this place highly enough and a 5 is too low..... A highlight was when Anthony brought the wine to the table with a straw for my partner... Along with a cocktail umbrella 😁 can't wait to be back in the area to visit again and experience the food etc once more😋 as they say in Spain, los cojones de perro 😁

Not a very friendly pub had food whilst we was there not particularly good also pub very outdated needs refurbishment also bit rude bar staff toilets were dirty and smelly need a good clean overall a dirt track pub in middle of no where seems like a locals only type pub won't be visiting again not a good experience at all😉

Excellent meal everyone happy with their meals & very full… even brought my pudding home also great value for money.

Everytime we eat at the butchers arms we leave satisfied... The menu has so much to choose from and everything I have tried is lovely and so reasonably priced. The staff are always so polite, especially the owners. I advise the Teriyaki Steak Sizzler, I could eat that every day.

Amazing place! 8 of us and a baby turned up with no booking and we were told there were no tables in the restaurant but we could eat in the bar which we were very grateful for, then they very kindly found us a table in the restaurant! Absolutely amazing food and the prices of the food and drinks were so good! Lovely friendly staff, great play area for the kids, we enjoyed our meal so much, thank you! Would definitely recommend and we will be back even though we live an hour away!!

Been here quite a few times both Sunday lunch and evening meals went Saturday 19 Aug with my family never had a complaint once good honest food at a reasonable price, always found sevice excellent and staff all helpful, would recommend to any one other members of my family have been on my recommendation and enjoyed no complaints excellent. A family of ten of us recently visited for a meal booked in advance. We did not realise that Basil Fawlty is alive and kicking and works at this terrible place. We were not welcomed an extra guest turned up and all hell broke out, he just could not cope with it. The tables were dirty and sticky and tge food was awful. Where do they get their Steaks from, obviously cheap cuts and full of gristle and fat. The cook never understood what medium rare meant. Service horrendous and food tasteless. I wouldn't even give the food 1 out of 10. I would love tobteach them customer service and the art of cooking using good ingredients! Stay well clear, awful place.

We stood at bar, and was ignored while bloke sat behind bar, laughing and joking with "Regulars " another couple came in and we're also ignored by him. This was a Sunday night..ignorant !! We walked! First time been there, will be last.Toiets were Filthy as well

My partner and I ate here last night, Friday. As soon as we entered the pub, we could feel a really friendly atmosphere. We both chose the 16oz sirloin steak. We had our steaks cooked differently, rare and medium well. Only one word comes to mind... Perfect. The portions are generous to say the least 😁. Tony and his team were friendly, informative and attentive. All in all, a superb evening with great food, beer and wine. Definitely on our go back to list for when we are next in the area. Which isn't too long away. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough.

My family have tried and tested a varied range of options on their menu - all giving excellent value for money that is hard to beat. A great traditional, family run pub with roaring log fires in the cooler months both in the bar and restaurant.

Daughter had recently visited the Butchers and recommended that we should give it a try. We are always looking for Sunday lunch venues in the area and had never been here. Very reasonably priced menus with a selection of 1,2 or three courses. Portions were excellent and the food was piping hot. We also went for a sweet - there is a large selection to chose from so should appeal to all. We had booked for 4 o clock - and all the other tables were full - a sure sign of the popularity for their meals. We will certainly call again.

We were on holiday nearby and did a 12 walk in the area, towards the end we stopped at the Butcher's arms to refuel and have a couple of well earned pints, found this gem, friendly, great value for money, so so welcoming and accomodating...

This is our 6th visit here, warm and welcoming pub the home cooked food is amazing. Very reasonable prices and we will definitely be back on Sunday for our roast beef dinner.

The mixed grill is the largest I have seen, inexpensive and excellent beer and a bottle of wine only £9, what more could you ask for. Will return again

What a popular pub. We booked less than 2 hours before our intended arrival time and the owner (although he had lots of customer bookings that night) managed to accommodate us. Five of us arrived for an early evening meal, we had a big table and excellent friendly service. The food was very good, hot, not too huge portions (which is often the case in some pubs) and with minimal waiting time. No complaints at all...would highly recommend. Note - arrive early if you want to get parked!

Went for Sunday lunch with friends x x lovely sunny day so sat in the garden with a drink before going in to eat. The decor is a little dated. Set price for 1, 2 or 3 courses. Traditional Sunday roast with choice of meats. I had beef, three lovely big slices, roast and boiled potatoes and a dish of various veg to share. The Yorkshire pud was enormous and tasty. I like the butchers, it's a nice little pub that does decent food and the owners are very friendly. The beer garden is good for kids to run around in and the lounge is nice and cosy.

Mi marido y vino aquí el viernes 26 el 17 de mayo para una comida como ha sido para tres días. Yo no quería ir de compras y luego cocinar en nuestro regreso. Tuve steak que era exactamente como me gusta. Mi marido tenía la parrilla carnicerías que en realidad debería haber sido llamado el desafío carniceros, la comida era enorme. Mi marido dijo que su era preparado también a la perfección. Fue una excelente relación calidad-precio. Sin dudarlo volveré de nuevo.

Cordial bienvenida servicio rápido. Mi marido y yo visitamos este establecimiento porque estaba recomendado por la calidad de la comida y la relación calidad-precio. Ambos pedimos bistec y ambos estaban cocinados a nuestro gusto, había pedido ensalada en vez de patatas fritas decepcionados con la ensalada de lechuga, que consistía de pepino, tomates, y hubiera sido más atractivo si había sido quizás pimientos, cebolla, zanahoria rallada, remolacha, apio, maíz tierno. Estaremos llamando de nuevo en el futuro para el asado muy recomendado el domingo.

Fuimos un domingo y la comida es excelente - muy grande porciones - buena elección.

Excelente pub!! Justin y Anthony son unos anfitriones geniales. Tenía una escapada familiar y fuimos al pub para disfrutar de una buena comida, juegos de piscina y gente agradable la mayoría de las noches. La comida es excelente, sin duda prueba el 16 oz solomillo! Calidad y relación calidad-precio es de primera clase. Tenía un viaje de mini bus de vuelta a la casa un par de veces que era un agradable añadido. El pub no es nada ordenado dentro aunque están haciendo que el sitio en el momento. Habiendo ganado un Domingo almuerzo para 2 en un destino local escuela junior decidimos visitar. Las primeras impresiones no eran las mejores, pero cruzando los dedos!! Pedimos nuestras bebidas en el bar y nos dijeron que una mesa estaría disponible en 15 minutos, así que todo bien.. La camarera luego nos ignoró y el pocas personas en el salón de los 60 minutos!!! Sólo cuando me preguntó sobre nuestra mesa hizo hablar y luego solo fue para decir que iban a venir y darnos una mesa cuando estaba listo. Ahora podría entender si el pub estaba lleno y el restaurante lleno, pero este no era el caso. El pub estaba muerto y el restaurante sólo medio lleno el cielo sabe lo que puede suceder en un día ajetreado. Nunca tuvimos la oportunidad de probar la comida ya había tenido bastante de estar alrededor de ser ignorado mientras tocaba en móviles y fuimos para un cigarrillo . No mencionar el almuerzo gratuito, así como de los clientes sabían 2 pagar tenía fuimos... Si no puedes mantener clientes con almuerzos gratis es hora de cambiar de empleo. Chocante que no vamos a volver!!

We walked 1 mile there and back from our holiday cottage. It was well worth the walk as the food was excellent. Plenty of it and really good prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Needs some decorative work but sitting around the log fire for a drink before dinner we hardly noticed. It was busy enough on a Tuesday evening so obviously not a problem.

We booked here for the 25th March 2016 for my daughter's 17th birthday as she wanted to try somewhere different, wow, very friendly staff, wonderful food and brilliant atmosphere, we didn't have starters, but had a main and then desserts, again wow, food was obviously cooked from scratch, so didn't mind the short wait, I had the butterfly chicken with cheese and pineapple, very, very good then I had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, wow is all I can say, I will most certainly be going back again and recommending this place to every one I can. Even on leaving we were wished a very good evening and good by and please call again, I can't praise this place enough. Wow, wow, wow, thank you so very much for such a great evening of food and fun

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and locals. The surrounding are a bit tired but anyone can see that it's very much work in progress. Depends what you want, good atmosphere, friendly welcome,home cooked food,in a place that's under going work, or, no atmosphere, no welcome, food just about edible at inflated prices but a designer interior. I know what I would choose, and I have done every Friday night for the past two years since we moved into the area, look beyond the decor and enjoy the atmosphere, it's one of those little time capsules that needs to be appreciated.

This is a friendly and cosy pub in Wern near Weston Rhyn. The bar staff are helpful and although it is very much a local pub, we have always felt welcome, despite only visiting occasionally.
