Very nice and reasonable priced food and drink,but if you're going for food you'll have to book in advance.

Been a few times now to the Butchers arms . Had a lovely Sunday lunch in the bar as the restaurant was fully booked. We chose the beef as its always lovely and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream wow what more can I say absolutely amazing 👏. Looking forward to our next visit.

First time visiting this pub, both the food and drinks were very good value, plenty of food on the plate as well as being piping hot. Would definitely visit again

Not good, toilets were filthy and stunk need a good clean don't rate the food at all and bit expensive for what you get also attitude people that behind bar and work there I don't recommend this run down pub at all,avoid if I was you if your not a local they not friendly poor hosts at this place😉

What a great traditional pub. I visited last night with Barnton squash team as we were playing away at Brookside Leisure Park and we came here for supper. The food (roast pork sandwiches and chips) was superb, the open fire was roaring and the ale (Tetleys) was smooth. And, service with a smile. Highly recommended.

Such delicious food for affordable prices. Good banter from the owner made it a pleasant day.

Fantastic pub with very friendly service, real ale, real fire what more could you want. Well just try the food, massive menu, huge portions, very reasonable, could not fault anything. I'd recommend and will definitely return, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

A very welcome surprise experience. Both the food and the price were a very welcome surprise. The food was of a standard well above what we expected and amazing value for money. Also was not fleeced on soft drinks which make a big difference. If no I find my self back in the area I will defo head back

Great food, great beer etc, brilliant happy place with brilliant staff! Yep, this pub is a cracking little find and we will be back! Our campsite recommended the pub and warned us to book as it is a very busy, popular place.... They weren't kidding! The best bit is, the food and the beers etc were at really good prices and at an excellent level. Staff were so obliging and if you had a sense of humour they were happy to chat and joke too! This pub, to me who lives in a built up area of the West Midlands, was a proper country pub doing its best to be .... Well the best! We think they have achieved it!?!!? The car park can be a bit tight, but if you can't get in there, then, you should have booked! 😉

Friendly busy pub, decent quality food and good value. I would highly recommend the Butchers Arms for a meal. Good atmosphere and quality food at a very reasonable price. Doggy bags required as the portion size is phenomenal.

Great pub, made really welcome by both staff and customers. Beer, cider spot on, only had snacks as had a big lunch, nachos and sponge pudding! Lovely! We were allowed to stay overnight in our camper. Quiet and peacefull. This is what van life is all about.

The Butcher's is always a 10/10. Top food top atmosphere and service. Visit soon or it's your loss.

A nice little pub with great parking, the staff were very friendly and polite the food was lovely and well cooked. I have to say it was the best Gammon steak I have had anywhere. My niece had the mixed grill all I can say is wow fantastic value and presented well. A little gem that has got it right.

Visited here for Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday, staff here were very friendly and attentive, nice atmosphere, food was lovely and plenty of it and very reasonably priced too.

The best pub in local area for a friendly drink and exellent value for money meal during week or weekends, sunday lunch are very good but advise to book in advance as many who have a sunday lunch book for following week straight away.

First class Sunday Lunch !! Managed to eat 3 course meal, home cooked at very reasonable prices.

Wow this place is amazing for the lovely food, excellent beer and in front of a real fire. The owner totally went out of his way to make our evening exceptional. We ve been back since and would say the same again !!

This is one of the very few proper village pub's left and what a gem it is. Should keep it a secret really..... A real local community hub and pub for the locals and the prices are so reasonably priced that it's a joy to support them both in the drinks and food areas. The food is so good and as we found out on Curry night, the best curries to be found anywhere in the area most definitely! The staff, Antony the chef are all stars, very friendly and welcoming....and the locals were friendly, welcoming and entertaining too. Antony the chef's freshly made Poppadom's were fantastic and exact big size to dip into the mango achar/chutney and he's spicy Chicken Rogan Josh, half chips and half fluffy rice were to die for...probably went to the heavens and back in terms of flavours, wow!! Well done to you all at the Butchers Arms and most certainly will be back again!!

A small and warm little pub with a restaurant that offers a beautiful amount of homemade dishes. The pricing is amazing for what you get. It is affordable. I've been here more than once now.

Lovely Sunday dinner, I had turkey and hubby had beef, good size portions and really good quality, excellent value for money, lovely staff, made very welcome. We will be back!

Incredible value for money. A roaring open fire kept us toasty on the cold evening, and enormous plates of home-cooked food. Its our new favourite local.
