The food here is incredible! The menu isn't enormous, but everything on it is outstanding, and excellent value. I recommend seeking out this slightly hidden place and enjoying everything it has to offer. The staff are super friendly and helpful too

Food was delicious, the homemade hash browns are very very good. Great food at a reasonable price. My wife had the hash browns bowl as she is vegan, and she loved it.

First visit was great before Christmas (a Saturday) 2023. But I had'nt realised you had to book now, for general eating in (March 2024). I'd avoid Saturday's as they are very busy. Realised today you can no longer just pop in for a cuppa. Not suitable for Pushchairs, Prams and wheelchairs. Very dark and very busy at peek times. No Disabled toilets.

Well all the food here is amazing and the quality is excellent but our breakfast this morning 2 of them we had poached eggs but unfortunately they was not hot at all so had to send back but it did come back hot and fantastic as it should have been like that 1st time it came out. I would also say if you have coffee ask for milk extra hot or make point say extra hot milk as all 3 coffees we had only Luke warm and for the cost of drinks should make sure jug of milk is hot. (My husband was coffee barista) so it’s bug bite when he gets coffee and milk not done hot enough. But other then these little bits OSH IS 100% top place to go.

Incorrect outdoor location picture. OSH Big Breakfast -- disappointing bacon, given so many good local butchers.

Lovely quick family lunch. Called in for lunch with my 3 year old, we were grated at the door and told to sit wherever we liked, kids menu was brought straight over as we sat. I had chicken Caesar salad and my daughter had kids mac and cheese from the £4 kids menu, she also had a massive milk shake which went down well Lunch for us both and a drink each for a very reasonable £23 Will definitely be back

I had a red Thai prawn bowl and it was beautiful. They were busy at lunch with a small wedding party in but we just squeezed on a table outside. Food was fresh tasting and tasty. We cycled and could park our bikes next to our table looking across the church yard. Will definitely go again.

Nice building. Not happy with the service - we were ignored for a long time till we actually asked if we could be seen and place our order. Nothing amazing re coffee and very limited choice of cakes.

Addition to previous review: In March we had out wedding here and could not recommend the place more if you are looking for an event venue. Sophie was great to work with and really catered to our needs creating a menu that was prefect for us. Sophie was great with communication and really made everything easy for us. The atmosphere was perfect, the staff was amazing and our guest had nothing but praise for the venue and the food. We have returned on several occasions after the wedding and will continue to be patrons in the future. Previous review below: I'm so excited to have been recently introduced to this place. I was looking for hours and saw there were only a few reviews so felt it was due another positive one for this hidden gem! Housed in a beautiful and unique historic building with 'cool' art work on the walls plenty of indoor seating and a lovely closed garden area in the back. I had a flat white which was perfect (perhaps the best I've tried is Oswestry) and tried some of the dishes my friends ordered which made me eager to come back. The vegan sausage was in house cooked and delicious as the hash. Menu looked like it catered to vegan, gluten free and meat eaters with effort put into every dish.

3rd June 2022: What a gorgeous historical building sharing a railing fence to separate it from the grounds of St. Oswalds Church in Oswestry. I believe the Old School House Café is in "Heritage Lane" (so I've been told by local Oswestrians). Sophie the new proprietor come chef come hostess has done an amazing decor transformation and absolutely stunning. Love all the old with the new zen relaxing attractive colours, art and furnishing...the historically old, new and retro art pieces, prints, sculptures and even a classic Vespa scooter sit adoringly comfortable with each other... The food ingredients and menu choices are refreshingly tempting and looked delicious. What a change from what was here before and well done to Sophie, the interior designers, decorators and the craftsmen who put the lovely place together both on the inside and outside too..loved the outdoors vegetable boxes, the outdoors seating and tables area... The views to St.Oswalds church in the background just adds another special feeling to the amazing location of this little hidden gem of a Café inside an historical 15th/16th century listed building .. Can't wait to taste the cakes that were tantalising me but it'll have to wait till my next visit as my brunch was so lovely and delicious..no more space in my stomach! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, helpful and attentive..nice to see smiling and happy staff about... Well done to you all and a visit to this beautiful café, restaurant, wine bar and historical building is highly recommended..

Working local to Weston today , decided to treat my son to a bit of lunch . We both opted for the Peri Peri Chicken ,he had wings and I had thighs . We chose skin on fries and slaw , oh my goodness is all I can say to describe our meal . I’m so glad we hadn’t got a lot to do this afternoon, both full up with good quality and tasty food . Excellent service and very friendly staff at this venue. We have had a great breakfast in the past , only thing now is to try a Sunday roast . We have had good recommendations about the roast.

Had a Sunday lunch here whilst on holiday, 5 of us including 3 very hungry children and a dog. Phoned ahead and reserved a table. Food was excellent, service very good and helpful. Chef catered for veggie kids with a veggie sausage roast, and thoughtfully sent out extra veggie gravy for us. The roast potatoes were amazing. Puddings all round were great. Great stuff, would definitely visit again.
