The Hinds Head in Shropshire

We've been a few times now,it was recommended to us so we thought we'd give it a try. We absolutely cannot fault the lovely staff that work there,they are always happy to get anything you ask for. It's no trouble whatsoever. The food is always 100% amazing..well done to the chefs. Its a dog friendly place aswell (in certain areas). There's a lovely atmosphere where you just feel comfortable and relaxed. We couldn't recommend this lovely village pub/restaurant enough. You'd be missing out if you didn't give it a try. Excellent job to all who work there.

Took my 94 yo Aunt for lunch today, fabulous food, excellent service, all the staff were very attentive and polite and the decor is top class, highly recommend a visit⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have had an absolutely lovely meal today at the Hinds Head Market Drayton. We live locally and will definitely be coming again. The staff are lovely! Friendly and efficient! The food is the best we've eaten out for a very long time . Excellent!

Been an age since I last visited here and don’t know why ! The place was absolutely buzzing a great atmosphere , there was live entertainment on which was very good , young lady called Heidi We had food which was delicious, a great menu which wasn’t overwhelming Staff were very friendly and efficient Won’t be leaving it so long next time !!!

Just had a Sunday Roast, what a meal. Absolutely gorgeous. Will definetly return again Lovely friendly staff in a beautiful building.

Looked at the lunchtime menu online before we visited only to find that it was incorrect. Choice of soup, 2 pies and about 5 wraps. Didn't wait to look at the pudding menu. Service was slow.

Despite checking the menus on the website the previous night we arrived at the Hinds Head to find there was a very limited menu which consisted of soup, 2 pies and about 5 wraps to choose from. The service was slow although there seemed to be enough staff to cope with the 2 couples that needed serving. The food was ok when it arrived but the fries were over salted nearly to the point of being inedible. Doubt we will return.

This was our first visit to the Hinds Head, but most certainly not our last. I don't know where to begin with the praise, it was just all so flawless. Let's begin with the food, it was exploding with beautiful flavours, starters as mains. The sauces were divine, veg and meat cooked to perfection. We didn't wait long for anything. Staff were brilliant, efficient, attentive, friendly. Special attention to a birthday mentioned in the booking, a lovely surprise. Prices reasonable. Can't wait to go back and try more on the menu. A fab new find haven't eaten that well in a while. Very, very impressed, thank you!

What an amazing pub the staff are wonderful and the food is out of this world. Not cheap but worth every penny. The staff ask if you have any allergies or dietary requirements which I liked

A perfect country pub. We go here for every family occasion or excuse to eat out. Our party typically ranges from 3 to 81, and everyone leaves happy, every time. The food is great and well priced for the quality. The staff are the most friendly and helpful i have encountered in a long time. You genuinely feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. I little gem.

This is a lovely pub and restaurant, but recent changes to the menu are not to everyone's taste, unfortunately.

This has become our go to pub for a reliably tasty Sunday roast. Always perfectly cooked and no problem catering for gluten free. Highly recommend.

Really lovely village pub. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The building is pretty with nice decor. The food was all lovely and well priced. Will definitely go again. You can dress up or go casual as it caters to both.

My family all enjoyed Sunday roast dinner, the food was delicious and well presented. The staff were attentive, friendly and very efficient . I would highly recommend this gem of a pub in the quaint village of Norton-in-Hales.

Fantastic food and a great choice of drinks

Absolutely 100% fantastic place, it's a shame for me that I live so far away, else this would be a regular haunt for me, food is great (& I like my food) also plenty of real ales on the bar & pleasant interior plus beer garden!

Burns night in The Hinds Head last night was fabulous, piper pipped us in to be greeted with amazing warm canapés and whiskey, The haggis was piped in and we went on to enjoy a delicious meal Cullen skink , haggis and cranachan . Lots of tartan and kilts we all dressed up for the occasion. The staff and chefs excelled well done Jo,Mara and the chefs for putting this together. A night to remember.

We had the most fabulous evening, the whole event was amazing, thoughfully planned and well organised. The evening started with a piper playing the bagpipes whilst we were served delicious canapies along with a glass of malt whisky. A 3 course dinner followed which was superb, the food was beautifully presented and delicious and, as usual at The Hinds Head, the service was excellent. Thank you for your hard Jo, Mara, Chefs, Bar and Table staff. Congratulations on a fantastic event!

What a beautiful place. Went for a spot of lunch today and was greatly impressed. The turkey schnitzel was lovely, great pint and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

A lovely meal, in a lovely pub, in a lovely village, served by lovely staff. All in all it was .... I forget the word now.

Great atmosphere. Could really feel the sense of community in there. The host was having very engaging conversations and connecting with her guests. Love that. Had only mains, but it was all very tasty!

Four of us ate here and every plate was a delight, could not have been better. Jo was Front of House and ensured everything ran smoothly which it did. The Hinds Head will become our "go to" restaurant.

Had a nice refreshing pint after a 6+ mile walk. First impression was very good, friendly staff and a very inviting looking pub. Will revisit for food sometime soon.

Staying on holiday in the area and went in for Sunday lunch after a long walk in the countryside. Good beer and excellent food (my partner had beef, I had the veggie option which was a cajun sweet potato and cream cheese roulade (there was also vegan if required)). Every component of the meal was delicious and the service was excellent - friendly and attentive.

Bit disappointed that there wasn't a starter menu on a Sunday, and the mains menu was very limited. It was explained to us that this was due to staff shortage. Sad because the HH was always a very busy place in the past for dining.

Went with my other half for dinner and wasn't disappointed. The pork belly was fab - nice and tender and full of flavour - the crackling tuile was an added bonus! The chicken Katsu curry was very much enjoyed by my other half, and the salmon and risotto was cooked to perfection. First time we've eaten in the pub and it felt comfortable and relaxing. The interior is tasteful and there's a log burner which I'm sure is is great in the winter. Very much enjoyed my pint of Guinness to boot. Staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Will most certainly be going back again!

We had an incredible meal on Saturday, portion sizes were excellent, the staff were super lovely, and the quality of the food was honestly perfect! This dog friendly pub has it all, the restaurant and bar tables offer a variety of different eating experiences to suit any occasion, the staff are always really lovely and jolly, and the new selection of food is amazing too! I can't recommend this place enough as I really think it has something for everyone.

Met with my sister for lunch, who brought along her dog. We walked into a beautifully decorated and warm pub, with real lit fires and a warm welcome from Amy and Jo. I had the Seabass which was delicious and a very good portion size. Finnished with a bakewell tart that went down a treat. Will definitely back in the near future to try more of the dishes from the menu.
