GOBOWEN'S Quality Fish and Chips in Shropshire

Me and my 5 year old daughter were stuck in Gobowen at 7pm for an hour. We were starving and all we could smell were chips! Found this little gem. The smell just reminded me of old chip shops (most chippys don't smell the same anymore). The service from the lady serving was lovely. The food was BANGING! Massive portions aswell. The curry sauce is go die for. If you're EVER in Gobowen, get some chips and curry sauce from this place. Beautiful it is.

Anything you would expect from a local chippy! Service was fast, food was great and compared to the 40 pound+ we would normally spend on fish and chips, I found the prices incredibly reasonable! Would definitely be back again when we are in the area.

Fleshy cooked fish, the fish and chips were really good.

Ghent work We had stopped only half an hour ago.. Naturally we didn't even have cash, we had taken food to pay the account but when we noticed the Punjabi guy.. Brother didn't take even a single rupee of food.. Jida rah bro.. must visit if you are nearby..

Friendly staff and excellent food

The owner looks after his customer very well. My chicken burger and chips was made pretty well. Good portion of chips. The prices are pretty cheap and reasonable as well. Glad I popped by. Not many eats outs around this area. I worked out it was four and this comes up top. Will pop by again.

Great to see my local chippy open again, great service and fantastic food at excellent prices.

There are quite a few good chippies in the area but this is the best I have found to date. A Yorkshireman speaks. I'm fussy about my fish and chips.

Ordered 40 plus mini fish and chips for a social in the village. Lots of compliments about taste. Great value for money

Loved this chippy before, but after just wasting my money on a cheeseburger (not sure what meat it was), I've had to change my rating, I'm sure they can do good food but that burger I just thrown away has ruined this place for me, it was disgusting, skimping on quality produce harms your business....never again

Good run of the mill Chippie. A very friendly and clean place with a wide variety on the menu at reasonable prices. Couldn't fault it.

Was passing by so called in, just chips with curry sauce, but excellent. Chips were just perfect, as in the way they were cooked and also the size too being on the larger (cut) size. Will deffo call in again.

Worse gravy and curry sauce ever had they were that thick couldn't even pour the sauce out of the cup🤑

The food is good now and then :)

Best chip shop meal I’ve had for a long time. Chips, sausage and curry sauce were all absolutely delicious to the point where I felt compelled to write a view. Highly recommended.

Very good, much better than a couple of years ago. Especially loved the crispy bits of batter. Would recommend them. Very efficient and helpful staff.
