Came here for Saturday lunch. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour as they didn't start serving food until 2pm. Thankfully, we waited for the food, and we were very impressed. Good selection on the menu and well presented, top marks to everyone here. Would definitely recommend it here to anyone.

Great little stop off on a canal boat holiday. Very busy but service was great. Definitely book ahead if you want Sunday roast!

No food, despite it being advertised. Only one ale on offer. Dog and child friendly. Lovely view of the canal and rail viaducts from the terrace.

I stayed at Lady Margaret's Caravan and Motorhome site in Chirk and we went here for tea. Food was absolutely delicious and service was great. Will be back again very soon. I highly recommend the Dragon Burger for anyone wanting something 🔥

I can state without fear of contradiction that The Trap is a proper pub. Well looked after beers and great hosts behind the bar.

Called here for a drink whilst out for a walk with the dogs. The pub is dog friendly both inside and outside. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely call here again .

Came here for the quiz and booked a table for food for the following day. Friendly service, good selection of ales and great food very reasonable priced. Enjoyed spending the last evening of our holiday here.

This is such a great place to eat! Best roast dinner ever and always consistent. Friendly and welcoming too. We are veggie and had no meat with the meal, plenty else to enjoy!

Was staying at a camp site 15 min away and this pub was recommended by them and it did not disappoint, a really good Sunday dinner, plenty of meat. When we stay at this site again we will revisit this pub for a meal.

Excellent Sunday lunch, plenty of meat and vegetables, roast potatoes and mash are beautifully cooked. Had a few Sunday lunches here and have never been disappointed. Service is excellent and there is always a friendly welcome. The Sunday lunch is always boiling hot which is how we like it. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Fabulous place, nice beer and awesome surroundings.

I’ve passed this place many times and often thought it would be a good place to visit. Opportunity arose as we were passing on the Llangollen Canal in our narrow boats. We booked in advance and were greeted by the super friendly staff and shown to our table. Nothing was to much trouble and the food cam out timely, on warm plates, and piping hot. A great feed for Easter Sunday. Luckily we will pass here in about a weeks time and will naturally be paying another visit.

Only here for the 🍺 - two dependable standards on cask pouring well. Spectacular view from the decking front of house. Limited parking to the side of the pub which is ok as we’re the only customers in at the moment catching up on TNT Sports.

Went here last night and can honestly say it was one of the best burgers I’ve had. Everything was fresh, tasty and amazing value for money. The staff in the pub very friendly and welcoming and an asset to an amazing place. Thank you.

What a great pub. Had a Sunday lunch (medium), it was huge and amazing food. Great price and a lovely atmosphere. We were staying at Lady Margarets Park campsite, and it's just a 15-minute walk from the site. Well worth a visit.

We had a Sunday lunch for four people, and it was excellent. The owners were so friendly and the locals, too. Good choice of beers, what more could you ask for.

A really comfortable traditional pub, good selection of ales, reasonable prices and pleasant service. There's always something on, usually a good crowd, locals and regulars. Family run and a friendly place to relax.

Moored here on the recommendation of a couple of boaters. Great choice! Good pub food, lovely beers, wonderful service. Quaint, friendly atmosphere. Will worth the stop. We can understand how people get "trapped" here. 😉

Absolutely fantastic food. 3 different sizes for lunch. All veg fresh not frozen.. Would highly recommend definitely going back. There was slso gluten free option.

This Inn has a great view to the aqueduct. Super friendly, the food and ambient was a great surprise. Lookout for the quizz nights, every Wednesday. It's a blast!

Perfect stop off for refreshments break after exploring the local area. Staff pleasant and pub exactly how you would expect for a proper local. Dog friendly too

Food was good with large portions, be sure you really want it if ordering a large Sunday roast as it's very large 😁. Friendly atmosphere and staff. You can park just up the road from the pub and walk to and across the aquaduct, well worth doing. You will be in noman's land at one point as you stand between England and Wales

What a pub! Brilliant landlord and gorgeous home cooked food by his hard working wife. This place is the antidote to the overpriced and dreaded gastro pub. Five of us were unanimous in our praise of The Bridge Inn

Called in after a dog walk, very friendly bar staff and locals 😀the food was delicious, there was soo much ham, I couldn't eat it all, the burgers coming out looked immense! They have a separate menu for their burgers alone!! With every topping known!! We can't wait to come back for a burger and a Sunday dinner but it's advisable to book for Sundays! Lovely view of the aqueduct too from the beer garden!

Greene King IPA and London Pride on handpump, Madri fizzy pish if you like it. £9.60 for a Guinness, a Madri and a bag of crisps. Tables reserved for locals as the Rugby was on. Tired looking pub with new publicans I think. Not too much choice in Chirk tho.

This pub is like something from the very late 70s.We didnt eat here but the food coming out looked really good! Its within easy walking distance of Chirk which is well worth a look around.Gives good views of the aqueduct.
