Henlle Park Golf Club in Shropshire

Picked this course as near where we were staying. A lovely welcoming place, staff helpful to out of area visitors happily recommending restaurants in the area, Sammy I particular went out of her way by writing a whole list of places for us. The owner Angela was lovely once again very helpful. They have a good range of both ladies and men’s clothing etc which it was great to rummage through. Club house spotlessly clean and tidy with a lovely balcony area which overlooks the 1st tee and fairway. The course is immaculate, greens superb. It’s is parkland so open fairways but some tricky holes which hidden greens. Throughly enjoyed this course.

The ladies open was for a team of three and we wanted food before we went out to play. The choice was very good, I had a really nice sausage bap, one other had bacon bap and the third had scrambled egg on toast. All were very good. The staff were excellent and table service was the order of the day. Really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and our time at the club.

We were priveliged to be offered a complimentary 2 ball after a recent society day out at Henlle Park Golf Club. We arrived in good time with over a hour to spare so had time for a good look around and something to eat . To see the history has to how farmland was transformed into a golf course was very interesting . . The club house is very impressive and I had a lovely bacon bap to start the day off well. The pro's shop is well equipped with a vast array of products accompanied by a very helpful professional , We hired an electric trolley and at £7.50 thought it was very reasonable As for the course it was wet naturally , but nothing more than you would expect for mid October . Fairways were excellent and the greens very quick and in very good condition . Every hole is challenging and thought provoking We finished with a coffee in the lounge to end a very enjoyable day . On the down side , which has nothing to do with the Golf Club is the curse of golf today - slow play . We followed 2 Four Balls who think it is acceptable to take 4 3/4 hours for a round of golf , sadly I don't , even if it is friendly golf . Would i recommend Henlle Park Golf Club ? - Yes . Would I return ? - Yes You will be guaranteed a friendly welcome , a good test of golf in beautiful scenic surroundings

Just returned from a weeks stay at Henlee Hall From the First Minute we arrived until the last minute we left was a First class experience such a wonderful place to stay this Truly is a Special peaceful relaxing Oasis were every single member of Staff seems Happy and content to work always Obliging and smiling whenever they pass a special mention must go to Jill and all the Cleaners who keep the whole site spotlessly clean and the Fabulous new Restaurant and bar were the Food drink and Service was first class Carl and all the staff were so polite Efficient and gave service with a smile.The Food was of such a high standard and they served a wide range of Alcoholic drinks. Keeta has such a Lovely warm Welcoming Manner the whole site from Henlle Hall itself to the Wonderful Lodges is Exceptional, you can see by the high standard of work and build quality of the Lodges how much this site means to Keeta and Cosmo, its such a credit to all their hard work Passion and Commitment to reach perfection.A special Thank you to Michelle who we managed to see as we were checking out and remembered us from last year and was greeted as though she was greeting old friends she has such a warm approachable manner nothing is to much trouble. What a credit to the company to have such a welcoming smiling happy face to welcome New and Old Customers,there is so much more i could write about this wonderful place,but i would Advise anyone who wants to have an exceptional experience to visit Henlee Hall

Enjoyed the wedding reception here. Nice surroundings and staff were pleasant. The management need to listen to customers and staff about the choice of drinks behind the bar. Very, very limited. Our party had to order our own Grey goose vodka in. If they want to continue doing wedding partys ,which are very lucrative, please get some decent drinks. Thanks

Been many times now and thought I should do a review. It's simply gorgeous food. I've had many dinners here and can't fault a single one. Veg, meat Yorkshire puddings etc it's fantastic. Highly recommended and under £20 for 3 courses. If you go for lunch you won't need to eat again that day. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are fantastic

Recently attended Henlle Golf Club for a works Christmas party.... this the 3rd time I've been here and the same every time. Food was very good, service again was very good but for me the place lacks that Christmas festive feeling ..... not many decorations not even a.Christmas tree in the function room which is quite a large room too and could easily fit a few trees in it. The tree was there but In on the landing at top of the stairs. For me This place could.be lovely as it's in a.nice setting but it needs to work on its decor to create a more inviting and warming welcome and less of working mens club vibe.

Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate my Father-in-laws 88 birthday. There were 38 of us altogether. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We all had a fantastic time and the Sunday lunch is by far the tastiest for miles around. Will definitely go again, and again and again.

Took a Golf society here last weekend. Was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the course was in good condition, the golf pro was very good and friendly easy to deal with. Bacon baps were awesome. Beer prices a bit high but overall a great day out 👍

Wonderful views, food and excellent service. Sunday lunch is a must! Very friendly staff, always a winner.

We really enjoyed our sunday lunch today. The food was amazing, the view over the golf course was a bonus and all the staff were lovely. Our one year old daughter was pretty impressed too. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I played a round of golf at Henlle Park and were impressed by the clubhouse and the course which is set in beautiful Shropshire countryside with loads of mature oaks which always seem to attract my golf balls. The condition of the fairways was good and the USPGA standard greens even though they had seeded were quite quick and caught us out for the first few holes. The welcome in the Pro Shop and Clubhouse was first rate with barman Michael going well off piste from the menu to supply our needs, which was much appreciated. We will be returning at a later date with a few friends I am sure.

Overlooking the immaculate Golf Course Henlle Hall was our venue for a delicious Sunday lunch today. There is a lift and stairs up to the spacious airy restaurant with its large windows with views over the course, where tables are very comfortably spaced. There was a party of ten enjoying a meal together with various tables of three four and six. The carvery is served each Sunday and today's mains were a choice of roast beef or roast pork with a choice of vegetables, plus a vegetarian main of brocolli bake. There was a choice of tomato and red pepper soup, egg mayonnaise with crayfish or goats cheese with walnuts for starters, a good choice of desserts together with an excellent choice of cheeses. There was the choice of starter and main, main and dessert or three courses plus tea or coffee. Were were a party of three who chose two mains of pork and one of beef, plus one of each of the starters and coffee. We could not fault the meal or service. Everything was piping hot, the meat tender and tasty, Yorkshire puddings well cooked together with a delicious selection of well cooked and tasty vegetables from which to choose and help yourself. Service was polite, well timed and pleasant. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue for an excellent Sunday lunch.
