Booked for Sunday lunch for 3 all the 3 courses were tasty good portions and well presented. Atmosphere was friendly and staff were really helpful. Will be visiting again soon. Thank you

We haven't dined here in a number of years...just haven't gotten around to it but dear friends wanted to treat us today and so the Red Lion was their choice. Am so glad we were lucky enough to have gone again--at long last! We had a wonderful server...she was 100% knowledgeable of what was on the menu and her recommendations were spot on. Honestly, the Fish & Chips were amazing...one of the best. Our one friend thoroughly enjoyed the Egg & Gammon. The Eton Mess was delicious but just not enough of it! We lingered over our meal and simply had a wonderful time from top to bottom!!

This is one of my favourite local restaurants, the menu has a wide variety, good portion size and value for money. All staff are friendly, attentive and polite. A special thankyou, to Holly and Sophie for always being so happy and welcoming. This restaurant tends to get busy so booking is recommended, they do a lovely steak and a delicious roast dinner. If you are in the area this is a hidden gem.

Beautiful village pub with a good choice of drinks and a decent menu Excellent service.

Excellent food. This was a cut above what you would expect. The kitchen crew knows what they are doing. Front of house staff also efficient and friendly.

We stayed at the adjacent lodge for a couple of nights and went to the Red Lion for a meal on the Friday night. Lovely place, nice atmosphere and the tastiest Ribeye steak I’ve had in years.

Lovely friendly welcome after a long drive and a cancellation at the place we were due to eat put us at ease. Nice range of beers snd a small but interesting menu. The food was stunning. Great flavours and textures the kitchen certainly know what they are doing. This is all topped off by great service. Go and eat there you will not be disappointed.

This was the most pleasant 'ALL ROUND EXPERIENCE' we've had in a pub for such a long time. Most importantly, you may not agree, the staff, who can make or break any evening out, made our night. It was such a pleasure to be served by people who made our experience so enjoyable. Can't thank them enough.....Oh the food was very good too so well done in the kitchen.........

They have a new menu since the last time I went, still lots of great food choices. I had a new burger which was really tasty and filling. I added another burger to it. Food came out quick even though the pub was over half full, great choice of drinks. Friendly staff.

Sunday Lunch was excellent!! We will absolutely be going back again, and again.. plenty of choices and my husband, who doesn’t particularly like a roast had plenty to choose from on the other menu. The price for two or three courses was great value. no problem to park right outside the door. Lovely staff and a relaxing atmosphere. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way!

Quite amazed, it's a really nice find. The food was exceptional, just fish and chips but really nice best I've had for ages, really! The staff were attentive and the restaurant was full up so there was a buzz about the place. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Had a meal last night could not fault it. It was delicious 😋 Everything was 5 star from start to finish. I would just like to say the young lady who served us was a credit to the team. My husband and friend ordered the cajun chicken burger at this point the young lady said what a good choice as this was her favourite. We will be back I'm sure.A big thumbs up from us all.

Second visit in a month, this visit was to celebrate an 80(ish) birthday and our small party really enjoyed the visit. We had a particular request for the table, which they fulfilled. The service was great, friendly, patient and timely. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back soon. Well worth a detour if you are in the area.

Our daughters & families treated us to a fantastic Sunday Lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary . The food was fabulous, the ambience is homely & comfortable & the staff could not be more professional & so pleasant. Had a fab time, thank you to the management and staff. We will be back. Well, that was not a good Curry. It was more like a tomato sauce with a few prawns thrown in, no vegetables and very little taste of curry. The rice was ok, but then it was just rice. Wouldn’t go there again in a hurry.

We went out for dinner on a Thursday evening and the red lion was packed. Not one single table free. I can very much see why. Good service. Amazing food, the belly pork was beautiful. We will be back

My wife and I went to this establishment for Sunday Lunch. Excellent food. Both found it strange that they had no Beef by 2 pm. The staff is friendly, and nothing is too much for them. Great atmosphere in the pub and restaurant.

There are plenty of good pub restaurants around but the quality of the staff makes a world of difference and The Red Lion can be very proud of its great team, both front of house and those in the kitchen producing wonderful food!

We were here during the Fairport Cropredy convention. The pub is brilliant in festival guise, with 2 bars efficiently serving the thirsty and a small stage outback giving some good quality aural pleasure! The old building was also a good place to hide out from the hot weather this year 2022 but imagine would be equally as cosy in the winter with a roaring fire in the inglenook ... We might call in and try and find out ....
