Great food at great prices. Excellent staff.

Good location, nice place but no atmosphere, especially as it was Christmas Eve. The main course of turkey (my choice) was 3 slices of breast meat that had been under a heat lamp so the top slice was a bit dry. A few sprouts, roasties, a split carrot and parsnip and ONE small pig in a blanket. Pudding was ginger sponge, more like a slice of thin dry cake topped with a small ball of ice cream. The starter was the best of the three courses, but sparse. I was a family guest so it wasn't my place to comment but I was disappointed, for me and them.

We went to the Red Lion one evening with family in October. Since the group was a bit larger, we were asked to announce our choice of food in advance when making the reservation. The menu with a large selection was available online, so that wasn't a problem for us. Each of the guests had chosen something different and, after a short wait, everyone was served their food at the same time. The service staff were very attentive. The guests, including those from France and Germany, were extremely satisfied and we had a lovely evening at the Red Lion. It's great that a small place like Myddle offers a restaurant like this. We'd love to come back! P.S. The Spiced Lamb Burger with Oregano fries and tzatziki and the Grilled Seabass Fillets with roasted garlic potatoes were great!

Excellent food. This was a cut above what you would expect. The kitchen crew knows what they are doing. Front of house staff also efficient and friendly.

We stayed at the adjacent lodge for a couple of nights and went to the Red Lion for a meal on the Friday night. Lovely place, nice atmosphere and the tastiest Ribeye steak I’ve had in years.

This was the most pleasant 'ALL ROUND EXPERIENCE' we've had in a pub for such a long time. Most importantly, you may not agree, the staff, who can make or break any evening out, made our night. It was such a pleasure to be served by people who made our experience so enjoyable. Can't thank them enough.....Oh the food was very good too so well done in the kitchen.........

They have a new menu since the last time I went, still lots of great food choices. I had a new burger which was really tasty and filling. I added another burger to it. Food came out quick even though the pub was over half full, great choice of drinks. Friendly staff.

Sunday Lunch was excellent!! We will absolutely be going back again, and again.. plenty of choices and my husband, who doesn’t particularly like a roast had plenty to choose from on the other menu. The price for two or three courses was great value. no problem to park right outside the door. Lovely staff and a relaxing atmosphere. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way!

Quite amazed, it's a really nice find. The food was exceptional, just fish and chips but really nice best I've had for ages, really! The staff were attentive and the restaurant was full up so there was a buzz about the place. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Had a meal last night could not fault it. It was delicious 😋 Everything was 5 star from start to finish. I would just like to say the young lady who served us was a credit to the team. My husband and friend ordered the cajun chicken burger at this point the young lady said what a good choice as this was her favourite. We will be back I'm sure.A big thumbs up from us all.

Second visit in a month, this visit was to celebrate an 80(ish) birthday and our small party really enjoyed the visit. We had a particular request for the table, which they fulfilled. The service was great, friendly, patient and timely. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back soon. Well worth a detour if you are in the area.

Our daughters & families treated us to a fantastic Sunday Lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary . The food was fabulous, the ambience is homely & comfortable & the staff could not be more professional & so pleasant. Had a fab time, thank you to the management and staff. We will be back. Well, that was not a good Curry. It was more like a tomato sauce with a few prawns thrown in, no vegetables and very little taste of curry. The rice was ok, but then it was just rice. Wouldn’t go there again in a hurry.

Brilliantly run pub and restaurant, friendly, efficient and very welcoming. Had 2 excellent dinners whilst staying in the delightful and comfy Red Lion Lodge. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. A buzzy atmosphere for a popular pub. Best to book a table. Highly recommended.

We found this restaurant as we were staying at the nearby Premier Inn. As it was a Friday night it was busy but the food cam quickly. Good choice of GF desserts 🍨

There are plenty of good pub restaurants around but the quality of the staff makes a world of difference and The Red Lion can be very proud of its great team, both front of house and those in the kitchen producing wonderful food!

We were here during the Fairport Cropredy convention. The pub is brilliant in festival guise, with 2 bars efficiently serving the thirsty and a small stage outback giving some good quality aural pleasure! The old building was also a good place to hide out from the hot weather this year 2022 but imagine would be equally as cosy in the winter with a roaring fire in the inglenook ... We might call in and try and find out ....

Had a fantastic teatime meal and drinks here. We were among the first diners to arrive and were served with drinks within minutes. Within 20mins we had lovely hot fresh and tasty meals! Cannot fault the service, the food or anything really! A very good experience and is highly recommended.
