Boyne Arms in Shropshire

Had our first meal here tonight. The service was fabulous. The food was out of this world it was one of the best meals I’ve had. Beautifully presented and amazing flavours. Would highly recommend ! Thank you to all the staff

Brilliant service and fantastic helpful staff, perfect afternoon

Popped in after a day out at a National Trust property looking for some good, homecooked food and this place 100% delivered. Great selection of ales and beers on tap, possibly the best Burger I've ever had (The Boyne Burger, 100% recommend) and an absolutely gorgeous Syrup sponge pudding. We live about an hour away, but we would genuinely consider planning a day out near here just to revisit it in the future. Staff and locals were friendly, pub and restaurant were lovely looking and the food was fantastic. 100% recommend!!!

Great dining English gastropub at its best

Had a wonder time this lunch time, I reserved a garden pod so that my friend,whose husband is on chemo and immuno compromised, could have some down time and pleasure safely The meal was lovely as was the pudding The kindness, thoughtfulness and attentiveness they showed to us was above and beyond what I had hoped for. Thank you, you made her really happy and relaxed and she felt life was normal just for a few hours :-) We will be back

A really nice warm welcome on arrival and the food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble even though they were busy. Definately be coming back more than once, it's absolutely fantastic

We visited in celebration of a family members 40th birthday, the food was impeccable! We stayed for the weekend at the ‘old school house’ which is linked to the Boyne Arms again that was an amazing experience. We ate from the main menu on the Friday, service was great the staff cannot do anymore for you! The food is very tasty. The Sunday we visited again, couldn’t resist not to try the Sunday dinner. It sure did not disappoint and honestly was delicious.

If you're looking for a country pub with good grub The Boyne's the place to visit. The moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted warmly and seated at our table, by a roaring log fire. From the new Autumn menu I chose the Chalkstream Trout, which did not disappoint! Served with seasonal greens, crushed new potatoes and a creamy dill sauce, I savoured every morsel. Too full, I passed on a dessert, but they did look scrummy. Definitely worth a visit!

Had a fantastic evening meal at the Boyne Arms, staff very welcoming and friendly. Great menu and the food was delicious. Opted for the rump steak and the hunters chicken follows by the chocolate brownie. Thoroughly enjoyed it and vert good value for money.

A nice pub, we only stopped for a drink outside in the rear garden area. Friendly staff and average prices.

Fantastic Sunday lunch following our dog walk from Hillside around Brown Clee and to The Boyne Arms for lunch. We selected the trio of meats, we were to disappointed. Nice selection of well cooks meats, huge Yorkshire puddings, nice selection of vegetables and a small jug of extra gravy, fabulous. Michelle and here team made us very welcome in one of the garden pods with our three dogs. The pod also had heating which we were very pleased for as it was not a tropical August Sunday afternoon.

Perfect Sunday lunch! Great service at both the bar and table. Sunday roasts were very good. Various members of our family had different options and all were filling portions and well cooked. The added bonus was hot plates and lashings of excellent gravy. There are covered pods for eating in the garden which make for comfortable outside eating and they have heaters in the ceiling which is a nice touch. The service was good with well trained staff who brought food out at the same time with decent portions of a variety of lovely vegetables. This will be our go-to for Sunday lunch in future- highly recommended! Thanks to the chef and staff for a lovely lunchtime.

Came here on Friday 5th July for a meal with friends, the pub is beautifully put together inside, a real nice country pub with a very elegant feel. The food was outstanding, we had various dishes from the menu and all 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed everything. Compliments to the chef, I’ve personally never tasted ‘pub’ food like it! We will definitely be back & I will be fully recommending the pub to friends and family. The waitresses/front of we’re also very welcoming and the service from start to finish was Brilliant

Sunday lunch with family while on holiday. Garlic mushrooms to start A bit mean on the mushrooms. Beef roast was lovely although potatos hard. Eton mess was v good. Staff are excellent. Overall a good dinner.

What an amazing find. Visiting the area for the weekend and looking for somewhere to eat. We found the Boyne Arms. Amazing friendly and helpful service, with a lovely outdoor seating area. The food was fantastic, it was really hard to decide what to have as everything on the menu sounded really nice.

Came here with friends last night, food overall was very good, with good portion sizes. The only downside was the service felt quite rushed, we hadn’t even sat down and the lady was already trying to take our drinks order, and the young girl who took the dessert order didn’t leave us much time to decide! We would certainly come back again.

Had Lunch today for the first time. Made very welcome on arrival by the staff. Food excellent & value for money. Will be going again.

We met with family as it is exactly half way between us. I have passed this pretty hostelry many many times and feel now I missed out not going before. What a perfect job they do. A very good selection of real ales and the food was sublime. All the waiting staff were friendly and interactive without being intrusive meaning you felt your satisfaction mattered. There was an event also in the beer garden but it no way did it detract from our exoeriance. In fact the very surprisingly quiet sound of the party amd its music absolutly added to the joyous atmosphere. My family and I enjoyed good food and even though there were seven of us our conversations were flowing and even a member of our family with hearing problems could hear perfectly. It is amazingly run and organised we will be going regularly from now on and I highly recommend it. I can't speak as to the accomadation as we only went for dinner but I can only imagine that a business that cares so openly and greatly in customer satisfaction would provide you with a welcoming and comfortable stay.

My daughter’s 30th birthday party was held at the Boyne Arms on Saturday 17th February 2024. A fantastic night was had by all who attended. The hosts were absolutely perfect, helpful, efficient, professional and guided us through the event and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent and they catered for 70 effortlessly. The set up and layout works so well and I would highly recommend using the Boyne Arms for a family gathering/celebration and intend to do so again in the future.

Stopped for lunch at this inn, lovely countryside location. The seating was comfortable and the staff were helpful and attentive. A good selection of food, lots of pub favourites, cannot fault it, we highly recommend it.

Delightful setting with log burners and comfortable chairs. Zoe was most welcoming and friendly the drinks were large and hot. Toilets were clean and fresh.

Great weekend with the girls here in Dec 2023. Stayed overnight. Rooms were ideal, warm and clean Bottomless lunch was amazing, good value for money, great food choices. The atmosphere was great, the staff and management very attentive, we wished for nothing.

Fabulous reasonable food and great service

We arranged a family meal for 30 adults and children at the beginning of October. The communication for booking and preorder all the way through to the day of the meal was excellent. Great choice on the menu as we went on a Sunday we could have a roast or pub meals such as scampi and lasagne. We also managed to get a takeaway roast for a member of the party who unfortunately was too poorly to attend. The service from the staff was excellent and the food was delicious. We have been before and won't hesitate in coming back again soon. Thank you all! 😊

It’s a good few years since we visited here due to family movement from the area. We had a Saturday evening ‘meet up’ and it was great. Warm, cosy atmosphere with strong local clientele, good local beers available. Food range was very varied and extremely sensible prices. Everyone was very complimentary about the meals, my Steak and Ale pie was amazing. Service on a busy Saturday night was friendly and very efficient. The lady looking after us got the ‘pace of the meal’ mains, desserts, coffees dead right. A really good experience, full marks to all the Staff of The Boyne Arms.

Amazing food, dog friendly, great experience thank you guys

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch last weekend after an amazing walk 'up the hill'. One of our party had a nut roast, and the rest had either beef or pork. The meat was plentiful, the veg was amazing - especially the cauliflower/broccoli cheese, the yorkies were huge, and the roast spuds and parsnips divine. We will be booking to come back in a few weeks time for the Steak Night - yum yum. See you soon x

Wow, if you like steak you MUST try Friday Steak Night at this lovely location. Great service with excellent locally sourced food cooked to absolute perfection made for a fantastic meal at The Aboyne Arms. Nothing too much of a problem for staff and altogether a great food experience. We will be returning and soon!

Excellent all round. Pasta and steak pie meals lovely, cheesecake and icecream dessert very good. Guinness excellent. Service was perfect and very friendly atmosphere. Very good value.

Visited the Boyne on 25/8/23 and the experience was excellent. We were served our drinks and then given some time to chose from the menu, which I like. We didn’t have starters and went straight to mains. We both had fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was good and it was very tasty. I didn’t have a dessert as the meal was enough for me. The service was good and I would definitely return. I look forward to the next time.

A beautiful venue with great service and a very tasty Sunday roast. We'd booked a table a week in advance just incase. The roast beef was tender, portion sizes more that adequate, and great value for money. The gravy was especially exquisite too. Service - faultless and very attentive. We've been to many eateries in Bridgnorth and this place is one of the best.
