Cross Foxes in Shropshire

Been drinking in this pub for years now, always a great atmosphere, bar staff are helpful, and new landlady has turned this pub to the best one around.

Come here often, very friendly and helpful bar staff, regulars are lovely and very welcoming. Reasonably priced drinks, and great deals on shots. Highly recommend.

Hadn’t been to my local for a while.. I got persuaded to go there for the new year and was told that Dona and her partner had taken it on, known them both for years and they had always been polite to me so I thought yeah why not (I hadnt been out for Xmas or new years for a long time) all I can say is I am so glad I went there!! I kept myself to myself for so long it really lifted my spirits!! My friends who I grew up with were there and people who I met for the first time and it was amazing!! What a wonderful atmosphere!! Thanks guys for a wonderful evening and night!! Good music plenty of room for a boogie and a good laugh

A fantastic local pub, live sports shown daily, monthly live music. The pub has a great selection of drinks to suit everyone. Great staff, quick service & fantastic atmosphere. This pub is situated by the train station so was ideal when waiting for the train. Thank you, we will be returning!

We came for a drink in this pub with our newborn & toddler we sat in the lounge area we happened to go on a live music night which made our visit even more worth while I couldn’t recommend this pub enough the staff were so friendly and the place itself was clean throughout This pub is right on the doorstep of the train station so if you are waiting for your next train then be sure to pop in here fabulous local village pub

Called in while waiting for a train, friendly bar staff and was busy for a Saturday lunchtime, drinks seemed expensive for a local pub, £4.10 for a bottle of bud is too much. ☹️

I stopped in the cross foxes on the way home because I was waiting on my bus. When I walked in, it seemed very friendly and an everyone-knows-everyone kinda thing. The barman saved me some money by up selling me. Three Budweiser's for £9.50 whereas it would've worked out more expensive for just the one. So props to Dan for the banter and the good vibes.

Popped in for quick drink waiting for a lift ... I was served quickly and correctly however there was no other banter or conversation from barman... Maybe if I had stayed for another things would have been better.. other than that seemed like a nice pub... thanks

What a gem,my son and I travelled over from Ireland to watch our local soccer team playing in Oswestry.Straight off the train not knowing where to get a cab,we called into the Cross Foxes and Roy was very welcoming and sorted a taxi for us. What a fantastic pub and absolutely spotlessly clean. Can't wait to go back .Well done Roy.

Not a sophisticated pub, but good friendly staff serving tidy Beers, Lager n Stout. Great for post or pre Gobowen train refreshments. Why not order your Chinese, Fish n Chips or Pizza takeaway and give yourself 30 minutes drinking time. Life isn't for rushing.

Called in to see friends, was pleasenty surprised, The Cross Foxes has just had a decor refurbished, both inside and out, the bar is nearly a 360 degree open plan, one big L shaped, but the room is sectioned off in a open plan room, confusing you might think, one portion is clearly a Snug the tap in the middle & then the games room, pool table, juke box, The Foxes seems to cater for the locals, I'm sure if hot drinks & small snacks the local Train Station commuters would be attracted to this Establishment, all in all everyone seemed friendly, it was absent of a local youth gathering which surprised me because of the Games room. I believe the landlord is relatively new & he's done a great job on the look & feel in general of the Foxes but also is quite selective of his clientele. Would visit again. Felt relaxed, safe, no rowdiness that the Foxes as had a reputation of in the past.....

Great food great service and lovely location

This a traditional wet pub so no food here. Landlord is a a nice guy. Only reason 4 and not a 5 star is it's brewery owned so beer is expensive. it has a pool table and dart board .

Doesn't serve food, but they'll let you bring outside food sometimes.
