Absolutely fantastic meal! All of the food was freshly cooked and delicious! I had the burger with salt and chilli fries, and mum had some vegetarian sausages with mash. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely be going back soon.
First time here. Ime going to Morocco next month so tried this restaurant. Exerlant food and service could not fault it in anyway great value for money £20 each 2 courses. Definitely going to return
Honestly such a lovely time, the service was incredible, the food was soooo good! We got the biscoff burger and fries (was a LOT to eat!!!) and the side chick waffles and chicken. My goodness. Thank you guys so much!
Working in Oswestry last week really fancied a curry, I decided to visit this restaurant and wasn’t disappointed
Staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was fantastic. The Chicken Tikka Madras was up there with the best I’ve ever had. A very good draught pint of Cobra too and all at a reasonable price
We stayed for a couple of nights and as well as breakfast, and delightful drinks on the terrace as the sun set, had lunch in the restaurant on Saturday. It was absolutely superb - excellent, professional but friendly service, incredible food, wine and cocktails, and a beautiful setting. Our suite was comfortable and luxurious in a classy and understated way, and the warmth of welcome second to none. Very highly recommended indeed!
We were four for lunch. We hadn't been to the Stag for a while with memories of a quiet country pub/restaurant. A friendly greeting and we were shown to a table in a somewhat garishly presented dining room, quite different from what we expected. Service was efficient but rather brisk and we were spoken to rather loudly. Perhaps our combined age of 340 years was a factor? Food was a mixed bag. The starters were fine but two of the main courses were a let down. Ceasar salad was presented in a bowl, difficult to eat, with a large piece of chicken instead of strips and huge hard croutons. We asked for a plate and for the croutons to be broken down. When ordering gammon I had expected a slice about quarter of an inch thick with poached egg. What came was a large medallion which required a steak knife to get through it. When I mentioned the unusual presentation (for me) I was told that they had been serving it that way for some months without complaint. So there, I thought! Finally, the wine, a glass of Malbec, £11.00.

lunchtime visit, 3 baguettes, 3 drinks, 2 bags of crisps, 1 gingerbread lady ? And the cost nearly £40 ? Had to ask for the table to be cleaned and the choice was very limited as most of the fridges were empty, very expensive sandwich shop for the choice of food served. Wouldn’t be my 1st choice to go again would look around for a better option.
Charged extra to sit in ? assuming this is a VAT/TAX supplement, but you still get served take away cups and plastic lids etc ?
Staff members seem friendly enough at the time of visit, cleaned the table when asked, but should a custom be asking for tables to be wiped down and cleaned after previous customers ? Hard to please all customers appreciate this ? but cleaning tables is basic hygiene ?
I collected a Just Eat takeaway from this lovely restaurant. The staff were polite and welcoming and the food was delicious! If I were a local I'd be coming back very soon - thanks for a lovely meal and 'until next time'
Amazing. As a family of 5, we were made to feel very welcome, even with our messy children. Food was just wow. This is more than just pub grub. Fajitas are a must! Staff were very friendly and efficient. Lovely little pub. We definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you
Stay well clear of this indian I ordered a takeaway for delivery, I was overcharged and when I rang back to query the cost, the guy that answered the phone call said the extra charge was to pay for the driver, the curry wasn't very nice either, the tikka Masala was very red and very sweet, the madras wasn't very nice it was also sweet not what I expected, both dishes made me get the trots, and the lesson I have learnt is that I will definitely not be using this takeaway again, so people you have been warned stay well clear of silsa, as not only will you be overcharged, and the food isn't of the quality that you would expect, so save your money and find another Indian takeaway,

I ordered from here just to receive only one of the items i ordered. I called the place to check what happened and the woman on the phone was rude and was not listening to anything i had to say.
