Just had my 1st curry. This place! Wow 🤩 it’s amazing ! This will now be our go to place as knocks spots of everywhere else!

Really nice meal. Went early before too many takeaway orders came in. Staff were courteous and no complaints about the experience.

Had a chicken Dupiaza and chicken Rogan Josh on Saturday. The chicken was hard like it was frozen precooked meat with a bland sauce over it. This place used to be good, but not anymore. I won't be coming here again.

Awful customer service! Had booked ahead (3 telephone calls in total to confirm booking) for a party of 8, only to be told that we did not have a booking. A clear mistake on their part, but no ownership was taken by them, no apology. Extremely rude. Can't imagine this place will stay afloat for long. Don't bother!

Genuinely the worst Indian meal I have ever tasted. Firstly our waiter was rude and impatient, the other guy was completely fine. After asking for a recommendation after describing my favourite dish he served me what can only be described as tasteless slop. How that's possible I honestly don't know. It had no seasoning whatsoever, completely bland, none of the three dishes had tasted like they had any salt in, mine also had no chillies just a tonne of black pepper. I only managed one spoon of the whole dish. He asked did I want more chilli but seriously it was rotten and looked like the contents of a babies nappy.

Being a visitor to the area I was somewhat apprehensive when I placed an order for delivery. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the food, which was well presented despite being a takeaway. The prices were also very reasonable. I had king prawn Rogan Josh, onion bahji, mushroom pilau, vegetable curry and naan. The service was also prompt and delivered by a friendly employee of the restaurant. Would recommend and will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Delivery to Little Fish Campsite. Awful food, greasy and mixed grills looks like yesterdays kept warm. Thrown most away and reordered elsewhere.

Awful service here this evening. Cold food, hard naan bread, missing items. Called up and informed them, they argued that the food was not cold, told me they’d resend chips but as I explained that the rest of my meal would be eaten, been going here years and this was the awful experience tonight when something was wrong. AVOIDD

Standard food, a deal was on the board outside, but just because we didn't mention at the start thats wha5 we were having we weren't allowed the deal... very disappointing considering how much we ordered

We went on a wet and cold October eve and it was about half full. The service was great and the food was lovely. They don't have an alcohol licence but will provide glasses if you bring you own. Prices are very reasonable and I must say again, the food was lovely. Will definitely visit again.

Shame it’s always been good in the past. Tonight’s was very disappointing. Chips over cooked and cold. Naan cold. Popadoms a little stale. Curry not the same as normal was really sweet for some reason. :( shame it’s always been good before

Very quiet on the Saturday night we went there Food was good and there is a wide variety. Be aware they don't sell alcohol, the Spar about 50m away does until 21:00

I had a simple meal of the standard pickle tray and popadoms, a huge excellent pashwari nan, a very thick somewhat bland darka dhal (not to my liking) and Green Massala Lamb. Two zero alcohol beers. £27. It is just far too much money, when you compare it with what one can buy in a supermarket and cook at home. The Massala was nothing special, but back home turned out to have a very acidic effect on my digestion, soon solved by a large glass of milk. Overall I sympathise with the rising costs these business face, but it unless they provide something really special, it is just not good value.

I’ve been to Flava many times over the years and now they have changed their menu it’s definitely improved. The food was excellent and well cooked. The new coconut fish curry and the Radoni Goust were delicious and I would recommend this restaurant.

Placed an order for collection which was ready within the 20 mins advertised. The deshi biryani was delicious.

We have a takeout from Flava every Sunday, food is excellent and alway greeted with a smile. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Ordered through the just eat app, food arrived on time, however it was missing items and was stone cold. Reported this via the app and was told to contact the restaurant, the restaurant told us not their problem they served sub standard food and forgot to send the items we ordered. So we are left out of pocket and wasted our money with absolutely no resolution offered. We chose this over local companies as it’s always been top class service, however when the chips are down….or not included in your delivery nobody wants to take ownership. Lost customers after tonight and for every bad service word of mouth reviews are the quickest way to lose customers

As curry lovers we regularly frequent Flava and find the food delicious and high quality. The menu is extensive with a great selection of chef’s specials alongside all of your expected traditional dishes. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options and the staff are always happy to adapt dishes to make them vegetarian. The friendly staff always make us feel super welcome and takeaways are always promptly delivered. You can now order drinks from The Anchor pub next door too.

Ordered a starter, main, naan bread and poppadoms for contactless home delivery in Hanley Swan as was self isolation. The food arrived sooner that predicted, was hot and tasted lovely. Fabulous tandoori chicken followed by exceptional chicken tikka dansack. Delivered promptly by their delivery driver.

Clean, pleasant, Christmas decorations up. Friendly service from waiter. I ordered the Chicken Tawa with extra garlic. A truly spectacular dish, bursting with flavour and beautifully cooked. FLAVA remains hands down the very best Indian in Upton. If you haven’t at least tried a take away, I urge you to. Well done lads.

Order from here quite alot, always a great service hence why using them so much! The delivery driver is always polite also which is a bonus! And the price and portion sizes are generous!

Food took over an hour to be delivered, way beyond estimate. When it arrived items missing and initially told it would be 30-60 minutes for replacement. Really disappointing service.

We are quite local and have over the past few years seen a terrible reduction in quality. Over the last 18 months have for obvious reasons used their take away delivery service and the last two meals have shown a terrible reduction in quality, used to be good quality food but now we will not use them again. Sad but bad quality twice in a row doesn’t offer anything. I would suggest that perhaps the food in the restaurant may be better as they wouldn’t have the courage to produce bad food face to face. Don’t have the take away.

The Vegetable Kofta and Ginger special were delicious! The Tikka naan contains chicken, (not just a flavoured nan bread) not stated on the menu. Food recommend.

Had a fantastic takeaway meal here. We walked from Earls Coombe which took around 35 minutes. We had a drink in the swan pub and then decided to have a takeaway from here. We had a chicken khararhi and a chicken pathia with rice chips and keena naan. The food was still hot in the bag after our 35 minute walk back. Incredible service and incredible food. Ashame this is not on my doorstep and we are on holiday. I would be visiting this place every weekend. Thank you for our takeaway Flava Fusion.

Ordered a chicken korma from here. I always check the chicken is cooked in dishes. I cut open a large piece of chicken and discovered brings pink chicken. Appalling. Being pregnant this really scared me.

I’ve had two takeaways from Flava and they’ve both been excellent. I’m a fan of all the Indian/Bangladeshi places in Upton; I’d say my curry from Flava was a little less rich than what I’d get at the others, but I liked that, the flavour wasn’t overbearing. The staff all seemed really friendly too.

We had our first Flava takeaway last night and we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious and arrived on time. The best garlic rice I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend the Butter Chicken.

Like the reviewer below, I too remain utterly confused to how the other two Bangladeshi restaurants in Upton survive against the consistent brilliance of the regular head chef at Flava ? Every visit the food is hot, tasty and good value for money. The staff don’t push themselves on you either, which is nice. Keep up the good work Flava. You WILL win the battle in Upton.

Needed a curry. Went to my favourite poppadom palace. The food is spot on as always. They even did extra fried red onions for the girlfriend. They always go out of their way to serve their customers.I don't know why the other indian restaurant survives. This place is exceptional. To quote them have a Mary Christmas.The new manager might be young but is way better than then old one.

I travel quite a lot, and try too many restaurants, occasionally I find one that's great, compared to mediocre, I usually choose a humble selection to enjoy rather than a feast. My peasant choice from the comprehensive menu was Shiek kebab, madras & Nan. Portions were generous, meat was juicy and melted on the pallet the sauce was so deep in taste satisfying in every mouthful. Salad and dressings fresh and crisp It was a real treat. I will make a point to return and try more of there delightfully offerings. Thanks

We’ve now tried all three of Upton’s Indian/Bangladeshi outlets and Flava is certainly on a par, if not exceeding, the other two. Food was excellent (the peshwari nan and chapati were both light and non-greasy - always a good sign) and the service was polite and attentive without being overbearing. You can try their dual-fusion dishes (if that’s not an oxymoron) whereby you have two half dishes in a two-part bowl for the price of a single main course. The menu even boasts crocodile (!) which I didn’t have the nerve to ask for.

Staff very slow to take our order. When the food came it wasnt very nice. The starter was tastless and the mains sauce was far too watery and didnt taste nice

This is the first time we have eaten here food was edible but not enjoyable Good portion sizes but but not a lot of flavour I had tikka balti and it was very bland it big pieces of chicken in a sauce that resembles the sauce you get In A tin of tomato meatballs no where near a balti the mrs had a korma that had more flavour than my balti but was very watery I won’t be returning

I was a bit confused by their web sites, but it turns out these are old sites no longer maintained. Ignore them. They just use Facebook.And they do take aways and home delivery.Anyway, I ate in and was very pleased. It was really smart and clean with tasteful Indian music in the background. The food was fine and the pickle tray bog standard, which suites me just fine.I drank non alcohol Cobra beer, which has massed of flavour.All in all a good place.

Ordered from Flava for the 1st time whilst stopping at The Turbles Caravan Site at Castlemorten, delivered bang on time, all the food was piping hot, generous portions, and all extremely very very tasty. Bestest Indian I've had in a long time. Will deffo be using Flava again next time we're down this way.

We looked for a restaurant on a Sunday evening. Upton is not the culinary hub it might appear. However, albeit quiet the service and welcome we received at Flava, as a party of 4, was exactly what is needed. The choice on the menu was extensive and the prospect was fulfilled with scrumptious flavours. there were dishes on offer which are not always to be readily found. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal , served in a manner that put others to shame, and all this at a very modest price. If we lived nearer we would visit again without any hesitation. I recommend the restaurant to any who wish to try this unique fusion of asian dishes - yummy.

Have ordered deliveries from here on many occasions and has always been 10/10. This is the only Indian restaurant I use now as it is soo good. Decided I’d come down with the family and see how it is inside the restaurant. It is absolutely outstanding, the guys there are wonderful, there was a large party going on in the restaurant yet they still made sure to provide a fantastic service to other customers in the restaurant as well as us. The food was flavourful and definitely hit the spot, the whole family had enjoyed it, will definitely be returning.

Can’t comment on the food as had to cancel the order. Ordered takeout for the whole family and was advised it would take just over an hour to be delivered. We called at an hour and a half and were told they would check where the driver was but shouldn’t be too long. Asked them to be please be more specific and they said it would be another 20 mins. We therefore asked for a refund and to cancel the order as this was too late and we had waited too long already. We were advised we would get the refund and the food, pleasantly surprised but didn’t solve the problem of timeliness of the food.

Visited Upton on a trip south to Devon. Came across this gem wandering around the town stretching our legs after a long drive. Seriously good food. Efficient and friendly service. Would return in a heartbeat if we are ever in the area again. Highly recommended!

Living in Wellend we have been extremely limited for takeaway food, just eat has only 2 restaurants that will deliver. When we saw that flava would deliver we thought let's give it a go.

There’s a wide ranging menu so it not hard to find food here to interest you. The serving staff are very helpful and efficient, the food is tasty, and all in all a very pleasant evening meal to report- thank you. We were six people all very pleasantly surprised by the fantastic freshness and quality of the food with very reasonable pricing.

This establishment has been running for a number of years. After visiting the anchor inn, I asked some locals where the best place for a curry was. They pointed me towards FLAVA, and claimed it was the place to go for a great night out. So I decided to pay it a visit.

Glad to see the food here is back to its good quality. Great price for tasty meals.

The combination of flavours in the dishes we ate were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and the lamb could not have been more tender. Delicious!

Visited Flava last night. Everything was very good and the staff very friendly. Lovely menu and a good choice of drinks. Very competitive pricing. Only thing I would mention is my starter wasn't very hot - temperature not strength, and my husband's main course was the same. Overall though it was great and we will definitely visit again.

Good service, excellent food, I like to try and highlight any faults in my reviews to be as honest as possible but we ate there on a Friday evening without booking and I can’t find a fault. Well worth a visit, give them a try and ask for the Crocodile curry.
