I played at a private DJ event here recently and had a great time. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, plus the prices were very affordable. Definitely recommend!

Its great to know the university has its own pub and it looks so good and the food is great! So are the drinks and the activities set out every week. However it would be nice to see a more effective system of booking rooms for societies as it gets cramped if too many members are in the wrong room

Can't fault it tbh - came here after a lecture and stayed until the last train home. Great staff, the cheapest pints around, pretty cheap and honestly amazing food; check out the enchiladas or the pizzas, and the pub quiz (on Thursdays) is a good laugh! 11/10

Service, food, staff, drinks or whatever you can think off its wow. Nothing else to say. Highly suggest it.

Not very impressed. The beer was great but not the food. I went for the chicken and chorizo pasta. It was expensive imo. And not nice. I was expecting something dainty and delicate. What I got was a big pile of cheap pasta with very little chicken and chorizo. The red peppers were not cooked well. The place is so small they probably don’t have the facilities.

A pub for students. Okay for a bite to eat or as a meeting place for a night out but the lack of selection in terms of drinks and the small number of seats leads to it feeling slightly lacking.

Great food. A hidden gem. The food is fresh and bursting with flavour, the menu is easy to navigate, the staff are simply lovely. The price is perfect, very affordable especially when you consider the outstanding quality of their food.

Nice, friendly, but small. There's a narrow, decorated upper floor too. Not for many people, but excellent for a company of 4-6 friends.

Great pizza. The eagle and ball feast is just perfect. Loads of meat on a crispy thin bass. Seating is limited downstairs but there is more upstairs if you can dare the stairs.

Little gem. Gorgeous, fresh pizzas and pasta. Try the Eagle and Ball 12" with jalapenos, you won't regret it. Staff were really friendly although we had a large party and hadn't booked ahead. Some of us were indecisive and a little choosier than others. Would have driven me round the bend but they kept smiling.

As a BCU student this couldn’t be a better pub! Great drinks and vegan food with the best pizzas in town, all well priced. Super friendly staff all round and lots of fun events like the quiz and open mic! Really recommend going there with your mates

Best pizzas in town and always a good atmosphere. May be slightly out from the city centre but is well worth the effort to get there. Has the added unique aspect that although it's a historic grade 11 listed building, it forms part of the newly built University near Millenium Point but is open to the public and is run by the University's Students' Union. So it has a great atmosphere. A hidden gem.

Popped in for first time as next door to the RBC. Unsurprisingly full of students which created a good buzz even for an oldie like me. Very good real ale hit the mark.

What a place, super friendly staff, mind teasing pub quizzes and reasonable priced food and drink. What else could you ask for from a students union. The pizza here is really good. I especially like the Mac n Cheese pizza with extra bacon.

This was visited as it was at a convenient location in central Birmingham, and ideal as we could sit outside in the sun whilst eating. At first, we weren't aware of the 'Summer Specials' deal they have in place at the Establishment, but was very pleasantly surprised to see the range of fillings and offerings that fell under the deal. So we tried it out. We weren't disappointed. We ordered a halluomi bagel and a pesto chicken baguette, complete with roasted vegetables, mozzarrella, herbs, wedges and a soft drink. And going on the taste alone, we could not at all complain about the price. The bread was warm and freshly cooked, the insides oozing over the edges also hot off the grill. The herbs were tasty and the chicken perfectly cooked in the pesto. Beverages were generous - I've been to other places and got smaller soft drinks for the same price. And the wedges, maybe slightly undercooked, were also a nice, complimenting the sandwiches. The scenery was ruined somewhat by building work next to the building, but that can't be helped, it was a very warm Summer's day. The bartender was friendly and competent in serving our needs. The options for vegetarians, vegans and even gluten free dishes were good to see, as these have to be accommodated for in modern Britain. I'd definitely recommend popping down there if you're in the area to take advantage of the Summer deal they currently have going on.

This is the listed pub that BCU had to integrate into their new build. That's proved a bonus. It adjoins the Business School building and is a bright and buzzing place. The pizzas have become a bit of a legend with the academics and students and for half the price you'd pay at one of the chains you get a big delicious pizza. The beer range isn't huge but perfect if you're popping in from the university, Think Tank or Science Museum which are a couple of minutes walk away.

Great place, great beer Saddlers on draft great end to the day. Well worth a visit.

This pub is tucked away behind the new uni buildings in the regeneration going on in curzon street.TBH we only drank downstairs and noticed when you go to the loo the pub seems to be integrated into the new student building,which explained the amount of students in there ! Pub was ok and selection of ales small compared to other pubs but will be definitely popping back in when the regeneration of the area is complete

Then this is a hidden gem! Only £6 gets you more delicious pizza than you can possibly fit in your gob! (Seriously it's hard to finish one between two!) The pizzas here are worth a try! Great selection of toppings and a beautifully thin, crispy base with a sweet and tangy tomato base. My only criticism is sometimes they're too generous with the toppings on it so it's a little soggy, but overall the pizzas I've had from here have been fab! I'd recommend the Vivaldi in particular. And if you're not up to a pizza then these guys are serving some serious garlic bread, poutine and wings!

Great pub, attached to the BCU campus with reduced prices for students. They also do a pretty good poutine, something quite hard to find around these parts! Not sure a canadian would agree with its quality though...

Wine Tasting evening was real good fun with pizza and different selection of sandwiches and Potato Wedges, Great Place to meet with friends

Went to a work organised gin tasting evening where we sampled 4 gins, 4 gin based cocktails and an additional extra of pizza!!! Gin was excellent with the presenter being extremely knowledgeable and able to answer many questions. 4 very different gins were tasted and 4 tasty cocktails sampled. Add to this the free pizza at the end which was freshly cooked and a very tasty alternative for one of our group with food intolerances and this turned to be a great, fun evening which I would be happy to do again and recommend and all for just £10.00!!! Go to the Egle and Ball for the varied things they do - you won't be disappointed.
