Great if you want a nice meal at a decent price. Friendly staff also. 12.5 for soup & breakfast.

Gentleman who served us today was very attentive and polite. Food was served quickly and Piping hot. Under new management and it shows. Was a pleasure. Will definitely be back. Ps - the sausage was unreal. Best I've had in Worcester.

First visit in years and it's just as good. Definitely nicer than any chain pubs or cafés in the area. Friendly staff. Bright airy environment. And the food not only tastes good (and clearly uses good quality ingredients) but is well priced. (A standard all day breakfast, which is a really a huge portion, costs £8 including tea or coffee). Will definitely be back.

We were just walking past this place when the guy behind the counter gave us a big smile and a friendly wave. We felt it was too friendly to refuse, so we sat down and ordered their special breakfast. The granary toast was nice and thick and had plenty of easily spreadable butter. The bacon was so tasty, and everything seemed just right. Would happily eat here again.

bacon sandwich uneatable, I asked twice for bacon to be well cooked, it wasn't and covered in white - he still took my money when I explained why I hadn't eaten it !

There is a pretty extensive menu, and the service was good. The food arrived within 10 minutes and it was very nice. I had a baked potato with salad, and I would definitely visit this establishment again.

The food isn't bad its just you can get a lot better for cheaper, even a whetherspoons breakfast is better

My husband and I popped into this little cafe in the hopmarket today . We looked up on top places for breakfast and this was recommended invthe top ten.we didn't even know it was there to be honest. We both had a classic breakfast which came with toast and we also had two mugs of tea.it came to £14 .tit was the freshest and tastiest breakfast we have had out for a long time.the bacon was lovely and thick and cooked to perfection one nice thick sausage beans and egg and fabulous thick proper toast.i had granary and hubby had white. I could have just had the toast and been happy!!! Lovely staff and a very clean establishment.couldnt fault it. Highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.we could become regulars.ive already recommended it to some friends.thank you for a brilliant start to my day!!!👍

After trying to find a decent place for breakfast. I found this on a Google search. After seeing the positive feedback from customers and prices we thought we'd give it a go. We both had the special at £4.50 and imo could charge a bit more . But the value for that price is superb . Great breakfast. Lovely thick toast. Thick bacon. Nice sausage. Lovely clean cafe. Lots of space . Warm and welcoming staff. Congratulations guys. We will 100% be back.

Three of us called in for breakfast on the 3rd Saturday in December. Very welcoming and friendly staff .Menu looked really good and had been added to since we were last here under previous owner .We ordered all day breakfasts with additions of mushrooms tomatoes and black pudding and an Elgars breakfast with an addition of a sausage. Appreciate the filter coffee being part of the meal .However there is no doubt that the quality of the breakfasts is not what it used to be under previous owners with Butchers quality sausage being replaced by cheap tasteless ones and the bread too average So will rate as good /average overall .Used to be reasonably regular here prior to lockdown and not sure now whether I will returns as such good quality breakfasts to be had elsewhere in Worcester(albeit dearer usually)

Fabulous food and atmosphere, nice and spacious enough for a calming environment while we enjoyed our delicious food. Perfect to stop in for a break from Christmas shopping! Will definitely be returning.

I can't praise this cafe highly enough. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff and we were made to feel very welcome. The dining area is spacious and bright. Good selection of meals and drinks to choose from and all were very tasty. Prices were reasonable too. Overall we had a great experience and it was the staff that really made our visit memorable. We will definitely be going back!

Their Jacket Potato is outstanding

Small, hidden in the backstreets places like this deserve to be supported. I chose the All Day Breakfast which was very good and perfectly adequate, the cafe was clean and bright. Would I go back, of course I would.

I nipped in for the 1st time during my lunch break, after always thinking this was a take out cafe. I was pleasantly surprised that there was plenty of seating to eat in. There was a good choice of food and drink on the menus and quick, friendly service. The prices were fair for the portions.

We went in and had breakfast the food was nice but the inside of the cafe was a bit shabby. The lady that served us was nice enough I was a bit concerned they were smoking outside before we went in and when we left..just me but it felt a bit odd about it

Most probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten My wife and 2 grown up children went to this cafe/restaurant last week and the food was terrible Eggs over cooked and rock solid Bacon a weird shade of grey and tasted disgusting (I suppose out of date) so couldn’t be eaten Cook ran out of hash browns Toast, gave us the crust for half of our portions The “good” reviews must be a fraud

Never been here b4 but we gave it a try from recommendations to go here and I can honestly say it was really good, totally recomend to have ther breakfast 👍can not fault it our visit, great prices for how much you get on your plate, service was great, overall a lovely place to go if your down that way but I will defo be going out of my way to go bk

usually enjoy stopping in here for something to eat when in worcester as its always nice and the food was pretty decent. however it seems to have gone down hill recently. visited for breakfast and ordered 2 big breakfasts and a veggi breakfast with swapping out the egg for a sausage. (cant eat egg and dont like bacon so get that as is less to swap out) was told "oh he gets grumpy with swaps but i can try" by the waitress. they were also out of mushrooms and was offered a extra hash/tomato/onion rings. chose the hash. when it came out the extra hash was missing , asked about it and was told "you had the sausage so i can give you the extra hash and charge for the sausage" was quite hungry and couldnt be bothered to argue the toss. sausages seem to have changed to very cheap micro sausages as well safe to say will be looking for a new spot for something to eat in town

Our warm reception from the owner was very nice & initially only enjoyed coffee. Having looked at the extensive menu & specials board we decided to return for lunch . Especially after asking if they had the lamb shank in stock, on being told they had 2 I asked if he would save one for me . My wife & me returned . To have an excellent lunch at very reasonable prices , good value. Also the service was quick & food hot & tasty. We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone. They also have a children's menu with good choices at only £3.50.

First time in many years I've had a breakfast cooked that was refreshingly hot to eat. Family run very professionally and pleasant. Tasted absolutely fantastic. Master chef producers could learn how food should be served and not rushed. These little jem food cafes much better than main commercial fast food companies.

First time visit and we are pleased we did. Simple and practical place with a pleasant welcome. Food choice was very good and extremely enjoyable. We'll presented, hot and tasty. Nice pot of tea each with hot water for a top up. Top marks and very good value for money.

If you want a good cafe with a reasonable menu that is relatively quiet then this is the place to go. Finding it might be tricky but worth the effort.

Great value well made breakfast

This place has gone downhill since last eating here. It used to be good old fashioned belly-patting food, served from nice friendly people. On my visit today I ordered a cream tea scone - the jam was B&B style packets and the portion of cream was roughly half the size of a golf ball, I commented that this was not enough to have with the large scone and was given some more, the man serving us seemed fed up and had a bad attitude, and I was charged for an extra portion of cream at checkout. We were also charged extra for requesting fresh milk with our coffee rather than the capsule of uht whitener which was presented on the saucer. So, overall - unpleasant staff, poor quality food, and small portions. I will not be giving any more of my money to these people. There are lots of other much nicer places to have coffee/lunch in town, so if I were you, I wouldn't give your money to these people either.

I found this little gem.by chance after getting off the train. Very clean, tidy and welcoming place. I had a Special breakfast which, although it was a smaller option, it was very filling. Infact, I wasn't hungry until after 6pm!! All the staff were very pleasant and made sure that everything was excellent for the customer. Thanks all of you - I will definitely be visiting again!!

Typical café but with a wide and varied menu. Specials available. Staff were very pleasant and courteous. Generous portions. I had mushroom omelette with salad. Omelette was cooked perfectly and mushroom filling was generous as was the salad. I had to apologise to the chef because I couldn't finish off the salad!!! We had earlier been here for tea and cake. Would happily eat here again next time we're in Worcester

Tried this place early in our visit to Worcester and kept going back. One of two favorites. The food was very good (maybe with the exception of the baked beans) and we paid much less than some alternatives - just a great value. We had both breakfast and lunch, although my spouse kept getting the amazing goat cheese salad for breakfast. The goat cheese pannini came with a nice salad and was delicious. Tried the Staffordshire oatcakes and enjoyed them as well. Did I mention the value? The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and... the coffee was outstanding.

I've always been a bit cautious when entering a food establishment that's not very busy but we gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Staff you cant fault !!! food on the other hand Beans were ridiculously hot and placed in some weird dessert glass container, bacon untrimmed more fat than Bacon and fat barely cooked, eggs were over cooked , sausages are cheap i understand these are not the easiest to get crispy but appearance straight off was very off putting. Best part of the breakfast was the toast both me and my friend woke up this morning with bad stomachs hence the review.

Me and my son popped in for a quick lunch today. Food portions are huge and fantastic value for money. I had a jacket potato and cheese and it came with a big side salad. My son had the childrens chicken nuggets, chips and beans and again loads of food! Really friendly service, clean cafe, food arrived quickly. Will definitely visit again after seeing someone else’s sandwiches!

Visiting Worcester needed lunch found cafe tucked away, fast polite service. Really good value, freshly prepared food, hubby asked for mash instead of chips no problem and waitress made sure he had jug of gravy without even asking. Wholesome home cooked food at great price in clean cafe.

Found this little gem today after a visit to Worcester. We had beautiful ham sandwiches (with plenty of ham) freshly made with chips on the side with coffee and a huge pot of tea for hubby The staff were so friendly and couldnt do enough for us. We will be back

Visited for breakfast. Great choice. I had the full veggie option. All three plates came piping hot and were delicious. Not at all greasy either. Lots of hot tea and coffee and all served by friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Having visited Time to Eat many times over the years, the food and service has always been wonderful! The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The cafe is spotless and it is always a pleasure to visit. 100% value for money!

We came here for breakfast on our last morning in Worcester, and were very pleased. Quick friendly service, varied options for full English breakfast, from small to large, plus lots of alternative choices if you didn’t want a cooked breakfast. Coffee good. Very reasonably priced.

Haven’t been here for a while and probably only the second time since change of ownership and waiting staff I have to say staff very friendly and the Hop Pickers breakfasts were really good. Presentation even better than before and one of the best breakfast places still for me in Worcester-amazing sausages .Filter coffees good, so we had 2 each Would highly recommend once more

Good food and great "old fashion service" - why look elsewhere?

We wandered around Worcester, getting peckish went in this arcade and this little cafe looked appealing. We were warmly welcomed in and it was not too crowded, no loud music. The menu was varied and very reasonable. We oped for soup and sandwich. It came quickly lovely thick piping hot broccoli and stilton soup and I had a very full tuna mayo sarnie on thick tasty white bread and husband had bacon. Both delicious, one of the best soups Ive tasted when out. The staff were lovely and it was a very nice place, would highly recommend it and so well priced.

Make sure you find this little place hidden at the back of the hopmarket.I honestly think it could be the best cafe in worcester.Very good breakfast menu and all at the most reasonable prices.The food really is superb and staff very professional and friendly.A very clean and bright room with daily papers for you to read.I really find the little pair of scissors that are on each table very handyto open those pesky sachets with.Very near to Foregate street station if your a visitor.Take it from a local person who lives in the city, you wont find much better.

What a great find this little cafe was. It was just across the road from our hotel so we decided to have a quick breakfast here. The food was very reasonably priced especially the breakfast special. My wife and I both had the special and the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. The lady behind the counter was very friendly too.

Just a little lower down high street than the station and was just ready for breakfast. I had a traditional deal and wife had Elgars breakfast. Both were great quality and excellent value for money. Great service and very clean

A cafe like this makes me wonder why anyone bothers with the the international franchises. Proper quality AND great value.

I was working in Worcester and needed a quick lunchtime sandwich so popped in to Time to Eat. The sandwich was fresh and filling, served with a side salad and a pot of tea in double quick time. Excellent! The staff were friendly and efficient and I will return. There was a full menu but because I was in such a rush I simply asked for a cheese and pickle sandwich and tea and it was there in next to no time but freshly made and full of cheese. Lovely. Thank you to the staff.

Lovely cafe nice good great staff

Great tasty food at affordable friendly prices! Food was cooked perfectly and a great friendly atmosphere to go with your food, was welcomed as soon as we walked through the door and seated adequately to our needs, our daughter was given colours and activities to do while waiting which kept her occupied, delicious ice cream and locally sourced product! Will be returning again very soon!

Had a delicious meal here. Their steak and mushroom pie was home cooking at its best. Stacks of meat in the pie which I really enjoyed. Ice cream for pudding and a very good sized pot of tea. Great value for a very reasonably priced meal. Definitely well worth a return visit.

I always seem to visit Time to eat café in Worcester

Wasn't sure about this one when we found it. Weather was iffy - we needed somewhere for a bite to eat and stumbled on this little courtyard. Didn't look great, more like a run down roadside truck stop but ... the food was really good. Fish and chips for one, soup for another and steak and ale pie for a third. Good sized plate full, hot, tasty and good value. Service good as well. However, badly let down by torn flooring, battered furniture and run down loos. Could do better.

I was hoping to get a quick lunch in my dinner hour and was on the point of leaving without my lunch when it was delivered. Over half an hour for egg and chips was a long time, I should have ordered jacket potato, I saw one delivered to a lady who came in at least 15 minutes after me. She had almost finished her lunch before my lunch was served.

A very popular place for breakfasts. Very friendly and courteous staff and the food is excellent. Local produce, cooked freshly. Well worth eating here. Highly recommended!

This place always delivers good vslue.

I meet friends here and am disappointed in the quality of food. The bread used to chunky hunks but is now just from a sliced loaf. The soup I had was OK but seemed to have been boiling away for a long time. My friends food looked better.

Lovely little quiet corner for lunch stop. Soup of the day tasted great and came with beautiful fresh bread. Sandwich was equally tasty. A place to revisit when in Worcester again. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

A good, simple cafe which provided meals just when and where we wanted them. I had the soup - staff were helpful about confirming that it was vegan - and my friend had the jacket potato, which was apparently good and came with a generous portion of salad. I'm not in Worcester often but would eat here again if I had the chance.

First time visit for me and I really enjoyed my jacket potato with chilli and sour cream. It was very tasty, with that lovely crispy skin and fluffy inside which comes from oven cooking. The dressed side salad was fresh and a generous amount, so a very filling lunch. Friends who had been previously were not so keen on their panini's and they thought the atmosphere was not so good as it used to be with the previous owners, but as a "first timer" I was very satisfied.

We came in for lunch and had a soup of the day and a sandwich. The soup was leek and potato. It was so delicious with lots of flavour. I had a bacon sandwich on the side. Thick good quality bacon. Thick bread. Well worth a visit.

My first time at this little cafe hidden away in the hopmarket. Service was ok, greeted on entering. The young girl training took our order, other lady (tall) just kept belittling her and knocking everything she did, thought it was out of order that she grassed on the newbie to the owner instead of letting the girl know her mistake. Food arrived quickly, was nice and hot. The salad tasted sour on my plate and the salad garnish on the other plate was tangy and sour, bit like bovril, just generally a weird combination. Again during eating, the tall waitress just kept bad mouthing ex employees and just wouldn’t stop talking, a little off putting when you’re trying to have a quiet lunch with your girlfriend. The music in the background was nice to listen too (when the waitress wasn’t talking/moaning). The decor is a bit old fashioned and outdated. Not too expensive which was good.

Have been a regular on & off at this place over the years & always liked coming here, we knew it changed hands a few months ago & have been in a few times since the change over, the food did start to get better, but noticed when we came in a month or so ago that all of the old staff had gone, but there was still one girl of the original main staff left. Went in last week with my wife & was told by regular customers that the main waitess has also now left. Whilst I can say the food was decent, didn’t find the atmosphere as friendly, & the service wasn’t of a good standard. Wouldn’t come in again as my wife & I like good service & a good atmosphere in places to eat & we didn’t get either in here. The 3 ladies who told us she had left also said the service they received wasn’t very good & also wouldn’t be returning. It’s a shame as other than that the food was good.

Oh my goodness. The only thing wrong with this place is they don't publicise a bit better. We stumbled across it by accident, having no idea it was here. The food is all fresh, locally sourced, tastes brilliant....but is no more expensive than going to a chain restaurant. For example, I had a big BLT sandwich with chips for about £7. Nice setting, bright and airy. Is definitely my favourite place to eat in Worcester now.

However, we were just popping in for tea and toast before a business appointment and so killed 30 minutes over a pot of tea and eating two rounds of very good thick wholemeal toast served with butter and jam. Have been to Worcester many times but never knew this place existed until yesterday. I visited with my cousin yesterday and we were both in need of a caffeine injection after we got off the train! I had a very generous pot of tea and she had coffee. Very nice. Later on after a walk down to the Cathedral we were both a bit peckish so popped in for lunch. Very tasty, generous portions and very good service. Would definitely go back again next time I am in Worcester.

The menu was what you would expect from a breakfast and light lunch venue. My meal was appetising and served by very friendly staff. The premises are pleasantly situated down a small courtyard including a few outside tables. I would happily return.

Myself and my friend have been coming into Time to Eat for at least 6 years and have always returned due to the welcoming atmosphere and the helpful friendly staff. However since the business has changed hands, we have noticed the quality of the food had gone downhill although the food was delicious when they had hired a chef, but he soon left. Also we’ve noticed how all but one member of the original staff have left and we actually witnessed, how the new boss spoke to his staff and the one girl actually walked out, due to him shouting at her and pointing his finger in her face and to be perfectly honest, I cannot blame her... It was very uncomfortable for us to witness such behaviour and for this reason we have not returned, as no one wants to hear the boss shouting at the staff whilst eating their lunch. Those girls are extremely hardworking and friendly to all of the customers and it’s a real shame to see a lovely once thriving business, go downhill in such a short space of time.

Visited this place recently over one lunchtime and was shocked at first to find the place empty. I thought maybe it was because it was a very hot day.

I have started taking my foreign students to Time to Eat for breakfasts and drinks. The staff have always been very helpful and cheerful. I will be going at least once a week all summer.

I understand this cafe has changed hands. It used to be very busy but on the Saturday lunchtime we went there were about 8 diners. I can see why now, the food is not what it used to be,loved the quiche here but the quiche currently on offer is heavy and the top burnt, more like a cheese pie. On the plus side the service was excellent. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.

As a daily regular here for three years, I stuck with this place through its new management - but no more! The food is not what it was, and more expensive to boot. The chef left, plus most of the staff, and some of the customers, including myself. There are loads of fine places to eat in Worcester, but as to here, its time to eat somewhere else!

Was recommended by a friend so we called for a light lunch while doing business in town. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Nice choice of lunches. My husband had the egg and chips and I had the cheese and pickle sandwich with side salad. Served up in an appetising way and was very tasty., My husband said the chips were excellent!!!!!! They have a few tables outside (where we chose to sit in the sunshine) and a number of tables inside. Will definitely call in again.

Came in on the 16th, regular customer this will be my third time visiting since new ownership. Always happy with the excellent service by the two waitresses who are always happy and attentive to my needs and happy to listen to me tell them about my day, which is lovely and makes you feel welcome. However on todays visit the girls seemed quiet and reluctant to chat, but as always excellent service from both girls. The little man was however a different story, grumpy and miserable, didnt seem sure on what he was doing and constantly hovering around looking unsure.... good job the two girls were able to handle the busy lunchtime service with ease, whilst being polite and courteous to all of the customers. I will continue to come in whilst the girls are there, as you don’t get that excellent type of service anywhere else . I will also say the food was good, & presented well.
