A very nice Worcestershire pub. One if the last remaining that hasn't been 'gentrified' into one of these ghastly so called 'gastro pubs' . No sight or sound of any jus being drizzled ! Just good honest English pub food and excellent draught beers.

Vegetarians beware! This pub only has two offerings. When I ordered the spaghetti arrabiata, I specified several times the vegetarian version, only for them to bring the chicken version instead. When I sent it back, they took a few minutes to return, leading me to believe they made a new one. When I got it back, halfway through eating I still found a lump of chicken, so clearly they had just (poorly) picked it off. When I told them this upon collecting the plates, the waitress was unapologetic and I was not offered any compensation. This pub is clearly not equipped to serve vegetarian customers, despite it being 2024. My advice would be to avoid all the food offerings, especially if you have allergies, as they clearly don't care about the needs of their customers.

I took the family out for lunch here yesterday. Took a while to find the place as the village is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but somehow just outside Droitwich. The pub has a large car park at the back and customers can enter the pub through the back door and turn right into the bar. We sat at a table in the bar, rather than in the small restaurant. Mum had some fried mushrooms for starters while I had the whitebait and squid and the little one had the prawns with Ciabatta bread. All the food came out well prepared and we had the impression we were somewhere more expensive. When the mains arrived, consisting of Fish and Chips with mushy peas, a large brie and bacon sandwich with fries for me and a 12 oz sirloin steak for the little they looked and tasted delicious. The steak looked cooked for perfection and my daughter devoured it with delight. It was all washed down with a pint of ale for me and soft drinks for them. I don't know how much it all cost as mum got her purse out, but overall we were very impressed. Great place to visit if you're looking for a nice lunch in the country.

Ordered drinks at the bar and young lady followed me out with those I couldn't carry. Took menus outside. Went back inside to order and meals were with us without waiting long. Excellent meals and service was attentive not pushy. Would gladly have stayed there all day and evening but, I like my driving licence so 1 drink followed by a pint of Coke was enough. We’ve been visiting the Galton Arms pub for around 10 years now once or twice a month for dinner and a pint or two of Bathams beer. Joe and Jane who own the pub are extremely welcoming and the beer and food are delicious. No frills pub grub but served and cooked to absolute perfection. The steak last pm was so tender and well worth the very modest £20 for a 10oz sirloin. The pub is always bustling with locals and has a great country pub vibe. It’s quite quirky inside and with low ceilings/beams so watch your head in the bar. Situated in the small village of Himbleton, it’s a real gem and well worth a visit for lunch, dinner or just a pint….. Brilliant place we live it!

We had a Sunday lunch at this pub last week. The turkey & beef was wonderful & so were the veg. However I can never understand the logic of serving frozen roast potatoes? For the cost & time involved home made roast potatoes make the meal? The potatoes were not nice at all. That said the staff were very intentive with amazing service. We have had other meals & they were very good & very reasonable. Maybe something to take on board?

We had to take our son to Himbleton Village Hall so me and my wife decided to kill an hour by having a drink at the Galton Arms just down the road and what a mistake although it was quite funny! Despite it being only 5.30 it was very busy with what I suppose locals who made it quite obvious that they didn't like strangers being in there pub! Despite being up the bar for some time, the locals sat at the bar in the corner obviously thought that they should be served first whenever they were ready for a drink and were duly served first by the barmaid. I didn't say anything due to being with my wife and when I was finally served, the glass for my Guinness that was pulled from a top shelf looked like it hadn't been washed for years! We sat in a strange snug area on some old leather sofa's and were laughing at how bad the pub was and hoping that my lad doesn't have to go to Himbleton Village Hall again in a hurry!

If you're thinking of visiting this pub for a meal with family/friends... Think again. We had family visiting from Cornwall, and are always looking for a new place to eat. The reviews looked ok, so we thought we would give it a try. We we're the only people eating on a Saturday night, which was unsettling. After placing our orders ( there were 6 of us) we were then told that the chef was not working so some of the food was not available. I wanted to leave at that point. It was cold, my drink was awful, but you know us Brits, we say nothing and carry on.The 2 lasagnes were both not hot, 2 mushroom risottos were tasteless, scampi meal ok, ( can't really get that wrong) and the Thai curry was tasty. The staff tried hard, but I was embarrassed to have brought my family here, and everything about it was awful. I don't enjoy writing a bad review, but I feel we should have been informed on the phone that the chef was not working. Then it would have been our choice whether we still came or not. To add insult to injury, we were even charged £3.00 for 2 sodas to go with our wine. Something that is normally either free or about 40p.Sorry, but we won't be returning to this establishment.

What an utter snob Fiona H is (who wrote a bad review). She also seems anti old people and dislikes locals. In the old days when the lovely Galton was new the locals then would have probably put her on a Ducking stool! The Galton arms is one of the greatest pubs around. The staff and "locals" are the friendliest of people. People of all walks of life gather there to be sociable (unlike Fiona H). When we first went to the Galton we were treating like friends. The landlord even regards his customers as "friends". The staff are truly professional and the food is extremely well presented and of the best quality. People come from miles around to visit this great pub for the atmosphere, food and superb ales.I can't wait for our next visit and am so pleased that Fiona H wont be there to spoil things for the nicer people in this world.

It is never easy catering for a group of 40 people but the Galton Arms certainly exceeded expectations. It is a lovely small country pub which appears to be managed by a very competent landlady who very quickly had everyone served with a drink despite us all arriving at the same time. Our meal was served in a room upstairs which was nicely laid out, we had four tables with ten people on each. Every one on the table had their food served at the same time, there were plenty of vegetables and all the food was very good, portions were also very generous. We certainly intend returning as a couple to try their bar menu.

Greeted on a cold Monday evening by Herbie and Harry running the bar and tables with ease. New to the area and in for one evening they took me under their wings and we're incredibly friendly, a credit to the company. Harry suggested vegan adjustments to the food selection which worked well, as well as offering loads of industry insight into the best places to go and check out after I'd eaten there. Industry recommendations go a long way so this was appreciated. Wherever this employee ends up he is a credit to his organisation and should be acknowledged!

I came here to have a cup of coffee during the dinosaur event that the museum has going on at the moment. The serving staff were lovely, and were interested in some henna I had on my hand from a wedding i had been to. Had a lovely chat and they made me feel welcome. I only had a latte, but it was lovely, and great just sitting on the balcony watching the day go past. Lovely experience and lovely coffee.
