The Turtles Head in Walsall

Popped in after a walk in the local area. A huge pot of tea and a full cafetiere pot of coffee, served with biscuits and a smile. Lovely place, we sat on leather armchairs and enjoyed the company of the locals.

Wonderful ale, pub snacks, freshly​ made cobs and homely surroundings make the Turtles Head a pleasure to visit

Great little shop/ pub good real ales friendly staff & customers, great priced beer & snacks. No food but apparently you can bring fish & chips in from three doors down!

Great real ale pub in the centre of Aldridge. Suffers a little by the 1960s architecture but I wouldn't let that put you off from being served a great pint.

Best pint in Aldridge by a country mile. Found it by accident as tucked away but really happy I did. Proper pub feel in the tiny bar and loads of real beer to choose from. Viva la turtles head

Hidden gem, micro pub. Good ale. Worth looking for. Actually in the shopping center. Give it a try, different from the average pub experience.

Only go here if you have been a resident in Aldridge for about 50 years. Waiting to be served and some bloke shouted over we’re your regulars they only take the seats up. We may not go every week but we are still customers. Loved it the first time we went but turns out to be a cliquey local watering hole. The poor woman behind the bar looked over worked and did her best. To the shouty bloke who ended up behind the bar if you are some sort of owner hang your head in shame.

I remember this opening an it was a breath of fresh air from the normal.... It still is pulling the boys in during the week an over the weekend too. Great for a couple of hrs in the afternoon or evening for a pint or two with friends or on your own ..... Some great beers an ales on offer.

Love the atmosphere in there, I regularly visit. The manager has spent lockdown redecorating and reorganising, looks lovely, well worth a visit whether for Just the one or a session. Good pint too!

Not been in for a long time, decided to pay another visit Friday mid afternoon. Will not be returning! Child and dog friendly? Do not take children in, the language is disgusting and no one was pulled up over it, we left as soon as someone arrived with a very smelly dog jumping on the sofa's. Enjoyed a more relaxed drink in Wetherspoons.

A Fantastic Micro pub, always friendly staff and customers welcoming all. The only lager this place does is Amstel! At least four other ales on tap! A proper pub with great ambience and fantastic scratchings and a great range of cobs! Ciders, wine and gin is also available. You can bring your own food too! That and it’s dog friendly! Cheap as chips and proper. Just how I like it!

I’ve been going to the Turtles for a couple of years now and it’s my favourite place to go out and have a drink with my family and friends. It’s a dog friendly pub with a great atmosphere! There’s no where else I’d rather be on my Saturday afternoons :)

I visited here a few months ago. A town centre bar masquerading as a Micropub in my opinion. A good selection of lagers, some craft admittedly, but only two ales on tap at the time of our visit, both pale. I struggled to hear the barman over the noise of the television/music and we didn't stay long enough to finish our drinks. If it's your sort of thing then great, but definitely not my cup of tea.

Amongst a row of shop fronts is nestled this micro pub. Nothing to look at from outside but the inside has a little bar, tables and chairs along with couches that make you feel like you're in someone's sitting room. The beers are many and varied, the ciders are absolutely delicious and the wine is also tasty. A lovely place with no airs and graces where you can chill and chat as well as taking the dog!!

Great atmosphere, good prices but if you try to get a seat at the bar, you're out of luck. The bar person takes the prime seat and sits playing on her phone. Not impressed.

An odd venue for a drinking establishment, amongst a row of local shops. Seems popular with men for beer drinking so maybe they have a good range of ales etc. Not many seats and didn't really do it for me.

Called in for a quick pint a couple of Saturdays ago about 8.30pm. Walked up to the bar where the barmaid was leaning on the bar chatting. I waited, and i waited, until she finally looked at me and nodded upwards as if to say what do you want. Politely ordered what i wanted, paid for it, and as always with a please and thank you. She slopped the glass in front of me, with a head on it that must have been an inch thick, and promptly got back to chatting and had no intention of topping it up. I had to ask the other barmaid to top it up which she did and had obviously noticed as she said sorry and apologised. This ill mannered ignoramus has ensured i will never set foot in this place again.

A lovely place for a beer. Always a good range of beers on tap that revolves around often. You can order baps / cobs from here but you are also welcome to bring your own food. Lovely little place.

Had a few drinks here to celebrate my partners birthday. The atmosphere was brilliant and there was a great variety of real ales. Loved the strawberry and kiwi cider. Although small inside there is a seating area outside. Definitely worth a visit.
