This is a lovely little cafe, in gorgeous surroundings. And it’s dog friendly.
Food is good, and well priced.
But I really cannot cope with wooden cutlery and paper cups etc.
I hate the feel of the wooden cutlery and no matter how compostable paper cups are they’ve have a carbon footprint.

Ordered a chicken dish to take out. Bit into the first big piece of chicken and it was uncooked. Threw that away and tried another piece which was also not quite cooked through so ended up having to throw it all. Not much veg and sauce was oily. Menu said £12, when I went to pay the lady thrust the card reader Infront of me and I couldn't see the screen. It wasn't till later after I had left it popped up I had been charged £13.20. If the extra charge was to take away and not eat in it should have been mentioned but it's not normally the case the pay more to take out. In all left feeling ripped out and disappointed. Portion size was ok not that I got chance to have any.
Glad to see that this café has now re-opened. The lady in charge is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a really nice Chicken Tikka sandwich with a mint sauce, side salad and crisps whilst the two ladies that I was with had toast and jam and a tea cake with jam and both were very impressed. This café isn’t like some others where you get the merest scrape of butter; these were properly buttered and with a small jar of nice strawberry jab. The two coffees and one tea were also excellent. Nice comfortable chairs too.
I would strongly recommend this café to anyone visiting the Crematorium.
Had a lovely evening listening to the Salty Badgers! Great wine, great beer, lovely staff.
Couldn’t ask for any more
We both run a pub in Kent and we couldn’t believe the atmosphere and the prices! They were even accommodating for us southern folk!
Can’t recommend this place enough, thank you!
Interesting interior. Seated straight away. Good choice on the menu. Minimal wait for food to arrive. Beautifully presented. Staff pleasant and friendly. Would visit for food again.

We came to Birmingham just for the day and we made sure to stop here on the way and it was so worth it!! We got the siu mai, char siu bao and the egg tarts, we can't fault any of them, all so good! The egg tarts came hot which was a delicious surprise! Will definitely be back again!!

This place has really impressed me of late. We have eaten in and the food and service was excellent. We also have tried the takeaway service for 6 adults and everyone was pleased with their meals.
Fantastic Sunday Lunch with all the trimmings, yorkshire puddings, stuffing balls, cauliflower cheese, green beans, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, roast potatoes, real gravy and beef or turkey or pork or chicken - and we had such generous portions! We were welcomed with a big smile and shown to our table. Honestly, Paul and Diana and their wonderful friendly staff made our day. Thank you so much xxx
OMG! The carrot cake , home made by Emma is to die for. Get yourself down there quick. The other baking is also yum scrum but today was the carrot cake extravaganza! 🙂🐷🤣
