This is a lovely little cafe, in gorgeous surroundings. And it’s dog friendly. Food is good, and well priced. But I really cannot cope with wooden cutlery and paper cups etc. I hate the feel of the wooden cutlery and no matter how compostable paper cups are they’ve have a carbon footprint.

The gallery and artists were amazing but a big shout out to Sam & Emma in the cafe. As someone with a number of intolerances lunch out can often be a nightmare, so I usually avoid it! Sam & Emma went above and beyond to make sure I could have a nice, 'safe' birthday lunch out with my family. Their attitude was a refreshing change and the food was lovely, fresh ingredients. Thank you ladies :>

This is the first time I have written a poor review of the Bevere cafe after visiting several times without complaint. They have provided lovely outside seating areas in and around the chalet style outside kitchen. It's hard to understand why, post coronavirus restrictions, the food is still served inside paper bags and drinks in paper beakers, this would be acceptable if their pricing reflected this. It's not cheap. Surely plastic plates would be an alternative. It was fairly breezy today so it was a case of hanging on to the paper bag as you ate together with the napkins. It's not a picnic we went on. The sandwiches we chose were made with ciabatta bread, this was not crisp, but soggy just like poor quality white sliced bread. Coffee was good. Service friendly but takes an age to get simple food.

Lovely and relaxing cafe attached to the art gallery, surprisingly busy for a Tuesday morning, but a lovely atmosphere all the same and you can enjoy your coffee and a generous slice of home made cake (coffee & lemon curd cakes where delicious) admiring local artist works.

The service was excellent from a really helpful young man, and the food was good. Lovely artwork in the gallery next door too, and a really nice location on the outskirts of Worcester.

Bevere Cafe is part of a delightful, independently run, art gallery with workshops and also a beauty parlour! It's a nice place, modern and light with young and friendly staff. The menu is home cooked and inventive and realistically priced. Great for all ages, not sure about accessibility as the toilets are upstairs.

Came here with friends for lunch - the food was very good, and the service was pretty fast. Not a very exciting menu, but if you want a simple, nice lunch then this is a good place. Nice location just outside Worcester although the decor was not particularly interesting. Overall enjoyed the time.

We made a point of timing our visit to Worcestershire Open Studios to give us an excuse to try lunch and cakes here. Good call! The courgette soup with locally baked bread rolls was delicious. My husband seemed distracted however, staring over my shoulder throughout. It turned out that he had been gazing at the amazing array of freshly baked cakes on offer. And these were the most generous slices of cake I have seen served anywhere ... almost too much, although the lovely hostess reassured us that takeaway boxes could be provided if required, which they were not! It was a scorching day but we had a fabulous table near the open doors, and the restaurant was cool and comfortable.

I visited the Gallery as had a disaster with a picture whilst decorating. This service was excellent and could not fault the time and effort the member of staff who helped me. However as a bit of time was needed to attend to the frame of my picture so it was suggested I could go for a coffee opposite. This I duly did and on entering the cafe made my way to the back, which given the size of the room, was in full view to everyone who entered. I had sat for at least 10 minutes and saw another couple enter who were given menus and attention more or less as they were seated. A waitress made her way towards me but attended to a couple who were sat by the side of me. I made eye contact and at this point she asked if someone had taken my order. There was no genuine apology and her manner was a bit brusque. I ordered a cappuccino and cheese scone and at this point made reference that I had been kept waiting. The response from the waitress was that she had not seen me. It is her job, surely, to know who is coming and going! My order came fairly quickly but the scone clearly had been in the microwave so was soggy, fell apart when I attempted to butter it and not that cheesy! This came to £9.00 which was disgraceful!! The whole experience in this cafe was pretty disappointing especially as I go out of my way to support the 'independants'. The waitress made me feel like she was doing me a favour and showed no interest in the slightest of wanting me to revisit and put right the poor service. To summarise Poor service Miserable waitress Microwaved, soggy uncheesy scone Hugely overpriced Won't visit or recommend this cafe

I have seen good reports on this little cafe for a while. My friend and I decided to try it out. When we walked through the door we were met with quite a number of faces look towards us as though we were aliens. No one spoke and we didn’t really know where we could sit. We both felt rather embarrassed so turned round and left. I thought maybe I had it wrong and it wasn’t to be used by the general public, that it was some exclusive club. I have since checked online and it seems it can be used by anyone. We will give it another try and hope we don’t get the same response. I think maybe it was a private party and we went at the wrong time. It was a Tuesday afternoon back in August/September.

I cannot believe I have lived a stones throw from this for years without going. It has such a pretty relaxing courtyard area to sit in. Sorry to not be in step with other reviewers, but I found my two visits here rather disappointing and very amateurish. I first visited with my partner on a Saturday at about 2ish. We studied the small but tasty sounding menu on the blackboard, but unfortunately everything my partner fancied and ordered - the waitress came back to say they had sold out of, so we gave up and decided not to stay. However I still wished to try the food here so I returned on another day with my Mum. I discovered that there is a much more extensive traditional menu card, not just the choice on the blackboard - but this was never offered to us the first time ! The second visit we had no problem choosing and ordering, but the wrong meal was delivered to my Mum. My jacket potato with med veg was pleasant but not memorable. The food is all freshly prepared and properly homemade which is always good in my book, and there were some lovely looking cakes on offer ! However, when we asked for the bill, we waited and waited, then the lady we had asked vanished out of the premises! We went to the doorway and asked another lady for the bill. Again we were left standing there like lemons for ages, until in fact the first lady reappeared! The impression I was left with both visits was a rather absent minded, if not, rather shambolic service.

Wanted a trip out so visited the Bevere Cafe. We all had steak in a bap with salad. Steak available from rare to well done. An adequate jug of salad dressing and a pot of mustard mayonnaise. One of us can only eat red onion. No problem. As one would expect the menu is limited but with enough choice and there is a child's menu. The drinks list includes wine, cider and soft drinks. Two of us had delicious ice cream and one had a date flapjack slice. Everything was fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed eating outside for a total of £46 inc coffee for three.

Bevere Gallery is one of my favourite places for lunch or tea and cake. Lovely friendly staff, beautiful setting next to the Gallery and near to Bevere Green. The decor is a work of art in itself, vibrant colours, modern furnishings and original paintings often by local people. The menu is quite unique with a different soup, sandwich and savoury scone every day. Plus other unusual options. My favourite is the grilled halloumi and vegetables. The quality is excellent, everything is home cooked and very tasty. Plenty of options if you're veggie or if you have dietary intolerances. The cakes are superb and I am often spoiled for choice. If you like coffee they have a new barista who creates works of art with coffee. There is a good choice of teas too. If I had to say anything negative it would be that with the room being so small the tables are quite close together so it's not the place to go for a private chat! However there is also the beautiful garden which is more spacious and surrounded by sculptures and more art.

We timed our visit wonderfully for a quiet teatime treat in the sunny courtyard and a good look around the gallery's treasures afterwards. Service was leisurely but we were in no hurry and there were tea cakes to be toasted. Presentation was fabulous and the ginger cake was a joy to be savoured, with sweet, moist slivers of ginger. The pot of tea for two was generous and locally blended too. Staff were lovely and this made for a friendly, relaxing visit, which we'll not hesitate to repeat. The specials menu and lunch options look really tasty. The only reason I haven't used full stars to rate this visit was that our choice of outside tables was limited by most of the available ones still having used plates, cups etc. (Only one other table had guests seated.)

We stopped here for a late lunch with our teenaged son. Charming staff, and a pretty garden area as well as the indoor section, all displaying art and sculptures to great effect. The husband had an antipasti platter, I had the veggie version and boy had a cream tea. Coffee was fresh and strong, bread was amazing and our meals were delicious. Lovely ripe tomatoes with mozzarella and basil with a salad for me, I'd definitely come again. Bevere Gallery is a favourite place of mine. I live just down the road so I go regularly and I have never been disappointed. It's a peaceful and beautiful venue. As well as the small cafe area there is a lovely courtyard outside with a magnificent wisteria and sun umbrellas. All around you there is beautiful art: paintings, pottery and sculpture. The menu is really different and interesting every day, The cook is always experimenting with new recipes. As someone who has to be careful about dairy and gluten and also a non meat eater, I am never stuck. There are plenty of delicious options and the cakes are also superb. The staff are helpful and there is often some friendly banter among the customers. Plus you have the added treat of browsing in the gallery at the art works. Even in the Cafe there is a new collection of paintings every time I go. They support local artists and offer art classes with lunch which look good fun although I haven't manage to book one yet. The surrounding area of Bevere and Claines is ancient and very interesting - the church is open every day - a wonderful place full of history and atmosphere. The name 'Bevere' comes from there once being a Beaver colony on the small island on the River Severn here. The island was also a traditional place of refuge for the population of Worcester when the Vikings were sighted coming up-river! The Cafe is just five minutes from junction 6 on the M5 and very easy to get to if you want a break. Highly recommended!

Great value tasty locally sourced fresh food with lots of choice for vegetarians. Staff are very attentive but not in an overly fussy way. The relaxed atmosphere makes it an excellent venue for lunch. Best in the summer when you can eat outside as the indoor dining area can feel a little cramped when it's busy. Be sure to book if you are a larger group and the staff will ensure you are all well looked after.

I am very fond of the Bevere Gallery which has wonderful exhibitions and is always worth visiting, and the cafe is great in many ways. The food is excellent, and, as others have said, they focus on fresh and local which is admirable. We met up with friends there this week with the intention of having coffee, looking at the exhibition and then having lunch but sadly found the rather forceful waitress (owner?) so irritating and intrusive that we went elsewhere for lunch. I am on their e-mailing list so we were there specifically to see the current exhibition but she insisted on "informing" us about it, she interrupted a conversation two of us were having about one of the exhibits, and so on and so forth. Please note that the gallery staff are unfailingly wonderful - knowledgeable and helpful but never intrusive, and we have been at other times and had good service from other staff.

This is a delightful little cafe set within an art gallery complex. Over the last couple of years my wife and I have eaten there several times and have been so consistently impressed with the food, drink, service and setting that we have taken visiting family there for lunch. The menu is relatively limited although regularly varied but all the better for this because the options available are of high quality, usually home made, locally resourced where possible, and always imaginative. As other reviewers have found, this delightful little cafe offers wonderful value - including amongst other things some excellent and very modestly priced British wines. The Worcester area has its fair share of fine restaurants but in its unassuming way this is one of the very best.

Lots of things make this a great little place for lunch. Food is simple, fresh, imaginative and the menu changes regularly (if not daily). It's really good value (2 main courses, 2 ciders, £21) and there is a focus on local produce. Service is good. It is light, airy and there is art on the walls. Together with the gallery this is a little beacon in the cultural wasteland of Worcestershire. It's not fine dining and doesn't pretend to be. Having said that, my goats cheese and beetroot salad was made a bit different - Christmassy even, by the addition chesnuts. What they do, they do very well. Will definitely go back.
