Onyx Bar and Restaurant in Sandwell

I booked my special birthday party here. The owner would always email me back if i had any requests or queries. All the guests enjoyed the food. The place is clean. The staff were friendly and accomodating. There is a dance space as well. My 5 year old wanted chips as not eat rice and they made them for free. I defintely would recommend to have parties and celebrations.

Last night was Amazing, we pre-celebrated my moms 90th B/day at Onyx, with an intimate dinner party. They exceeded my expectations, everything was on point. We had the platinum service, all the dishes were cooked to perfection, and enough for us to fill containers to take home. For anyone looking for a place to book a small/medium size event, look no further. Thanks Danica, Denise and the rest of the staff. You helped us to make our mom feel very very special. Keep up the great work. I rate you the best resturant in town.

Thursdays are a vibe as they play vinyl for the more mature ear.

Came here for my cousin's surprise birthday party last week. Amazing venue, the food from the buffet was so good (I had to make sure I got extras to take away lol) but THE COCKTAILS... were soooooo nice, the bartender took their time and made sure I was satisfied. A massive thank you to her, she was so lovely. All the team were brilliant, great service and look after the guests. 10/10 would recommend! Can't wait to visit again.

I had my surprise mums 50th party at Onyx and we couldn’t have been happier when the service, friendly staff and great atmosphere on the night. I hired the 360photo booth which I would highly recommend for short, fun video memories to look back on. The buffet was lovely too, tasty and hot! Thanks Danica and the team 🙌🏾

If I could give minus stars 🌟that's what would have been given. Food fried chicken was dry dry trashy. Alcohol tasted like water was added nail in the coffin waitress rude.

Onyx Bar, Thank you so much for having my birthday party at your venue on the Queens Jubilee. The staff were accommodating, friendly and helpful. Everyone loved the food, I didn't even get a container to have it the next day! I really enjoyed having my 30th celebrations with your team and am glad I could work with a fantastic black organisation. Danica has been so understanding with getting back to me with my dozens of questions here and there, and it all helped me feel more at ease at throwing myself something (which I never do), so thank you! I left that night with a full heart and belly, great service!

Small but a beautiful little bar . Nice interior ans the staff were very helpful ans friendly. Even security the security were nice!

Was a wonderful 60th for my mom. We had a small event at the end of 2021 and the venue size is great as well as its easy location on West Brom high street. Staff have always had great communication and the food was nice and the various packages are reasonably priced. Won't hesitate to use this space again - keep up the good work Onyx Team. Thanks

Spent this evening celebrating my nieces birthday. The food was fantastic. Top marks to the chef. The staff were all very friendly. Very welcoming. Catered for all our needs. Def will recommend people to try it out. Would 100% visit again. X

I Recently went for me and my mum's birthday! The food was absolutely incredible. The resturant is cute, with a wonderful and up beat vibe. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, its beautiful and rare to go to a carribean restaurant providing a great vibe, brilliant customer service and amazing food!! Enjoyed a lovely meal at Onyx on Friday night, the atmosphere was great and the staff were welcoming and very attentive. The menu had a good variety of choices and the service was swift. I had the Jerk chicken and macaroni cheese and plantain which was delicious and the Don-dicca rum punch is devine! I will definitely be returning soon.

The food and restaurant staff were great. Friendly service and food was lovely. Full of flavour. The cocktails were amazing. I would definitely recommend if your looking for nice Caribbean restaurant.

It had a lovely evening here. The chef is very accommodating to dietary needs and the food is delicious.

It was a bit disappointing the food was cold and didn't get generous portions for the price. How ever my first experience was much better with staff being extremely attentive I will still recommend it to other people. The cocktails are nice with 2 for 1.

A bit amateurish...food not great...dry or needed cooking more in respect of the curry. The staff were a bit clueless when it came to the cocktails..I had to tell them how to make them. The staff were nice but more training is needed and the food needs to be cooked with love.

Where do I start. I was looking for a suitable venue to host my birthday celebrations. From the moment I walked in Onyx Bar saw the set up, decor and staff I knew I found it. From day one Danica one of the managers was so professional and informative and made the process go as smooth as possible for me. Aaron was brilliant, very welcoming, calm natured, professional, patient (I asked alot of questions and rang back a few times)and he went above and beyond to make sure that my party was how i wanted and that i was happy. Thank you Aaron I really appreciate everything you did. They accommodated us by allowing us to come at a suitable time for us to set up the venue with our chosen decor, table cloths and balloons and such. The menu packages choices are really good. I chose a buffet package for 30 people including 4 vegetarian and one vegan and the vegan meal my guest said was delicious. On the night my guests turned out the food was amazing and we enjoyed the selection and the food tasted really nice full of flavour. The jerk chicken 👍 All of the staff on the night serving out our food were lovely people. They made us feel welcome and taken care of. As more guests came in they made sure the food was served. My guests used the bar to top up there drinks as the night went on. We had a dj so there was a real party atmosphere. I could go on but I won't. I would definitely use their services again and I highly recommend Onyx Bar and Restaurant not just for parties, even to pop buy to pick up a takeaway.

My family and I came here last night for a meal and we had an amazing time the food and cocktails was beautiful and the staff was amazing We will definitely be going back.

The service we received tonight was terrible. We sat down at 7:30pm and didn’t get our puddings until 10:15pm. All meals were brought out at different time and not together. It took another 45 minutes to settle the bill. To top it off we didn’t have our deposit taken off the bill. The chairs were so hard and not meant for sitting on for such long periods of time. I would not recommend coming here in large groups very disappointing.

This was a joint birthday day , for my Sister and , my brothers 50th birthday. The food was truly fantastic. The staff , were lovely, and just nice people.. we had a party of 20 people. If there is a better ,west Indian restaurant in West Midlands... well ,I will be very very surprised... Thank you very much

It was delightful visiting the newly ooen Oxyn bar and restaurant with a dear friend. The quisine was spot on, very tasty and beautifully presented. Tried Onyx Bar and Restaurant for the first time this evening. The staff were very welcoming from the second I walked in. I had a takeaway and it was ready in no more than 10 minutes and the mocktail I had whilst I waited was lovely. The food (jerk wings, rice and steamed veg) was great and was shared by my partner and I. Will most definately visit again very soon. Best caribbean restaurant in the area for sure! Please visit. You wont regret. Thanks.
