Glad to see that this café has now re-opened. The lady in charge is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a really nice Chicken Tikka sandwich with a mint sauce, side salad and crisps whilst the two ladies that I was with had toast and jam and a tea cake with jam and both were very impressed. This café isn’t like some others where you get the merest scrape of butter; these were properly buttered and with a small jar of nice strawberry jab. The two coffees and one tea were also excellent. Nice comfortable chairs too. I would strongly recommend this café to anyone visiting the Crematorium.

Waited over half hour for 2 breakfasts whilst other people who ordered after us got served. Had to chase 3 times. Appalling service. The wait staff have no idea what they are doing, no organisation at all, constantly delivering wrong meals to tables, or not delivering at all. Gave 2 stars due to the quality of food being O.K otherwise zero stars

We chose to have my Dad's wake at the cafe as he and I often went here after visiting my mum's memorial. A cup of tea would more often than not turn into lunch - I can recommend the sausage sandwiches! Organising the day couldn't have been any easier. Sharon responded to my many questions extremely promptly and with all the information I needed. On the day, Teresa and Chris did a wonderful job keeping us all topped up with drinks, which was needed due to the heat! As it was sunny, we were fortunate to be outside in the courtyard which was a lovely setting. The food was great with everyone enjoying it with particular compliments on the cakes! They have adapted well to the covid restrictions with individually served plates rather than the traditional buffet style, which I know put some guests mind at rest. The whole team where lovely, polite and thoughtful and did my Dad proud! I would not hesitate to recommend this cafe, be it for a wake, lunch or just a cuppa.

Thanks to the lovely ladies who work at this little cafe we were able to give my father in law a decent send off. Due to Covid restrictions we were at a loss as to what to do after the service. This lovely place catered for 30 of us with tea, coffee and food. The ladies were attentive, friendly and put the whole family at ease. Thank you so much on behalf of all of us.

We chose this cafe after a single visit for a family get together after my Father’s Cremation Service. It’s a lovely Cafe. Immaculately kept and the staff are kind and helpful. They put on a superb spread of food and drinks for a very reasonable price. I couldn’t speak to highly of the place or the staff.

We were going to the crem 2 take arrangements of flowers because our mom past over 7yrs ago 2morrow. We visited this cafe 2day because it was raining and we thought it would stop by the time we'd had a cuppa. There was 4 of us we all had a hot drink. 2 of us had toasted tea cakes and 2 had bacon aand tomato sandwiches. We all really enjoyed what we had. The gentleman that served us was very pleasant. And came and held the door open 4 us as we were leaving. Very helpful gentleman. The cafe is small but there is a courtyard outside with seating. In nice weather. There is a toilet in there. The prices were very reasonable. This cafe is in the crem. So if like us you are paying ur respects 2 a loved one. You could go and have a nice cuppa or cool drink and something 2 eat before you go home. I would definitely recommend going in this cafe. Its lovely. Some folk may not even now its in the crem. Its right by the office. Defo go and try it.

Well went for afternoon but apprehensive of it being at the crem, but couldn’t be more wrong. Table was set beautifully for when we walked in. The Staff where superb, attentive, talkative, and very pleasant!!! The place was spotless, they do more than cream tea, breakfasts, light lunches, cottage pies, panini’s etc Cream tea as you can see by pics was absolutely fab, Buck’s Fizz/or orange juice offered as soon as we sat, pot of tea or coffee or both of required, cane to ask if sandwiches were ok, salad, crisps and cakes were also on offer. Staff couldn’t do enough, asking if we required more tea or another glass of OJ or Buck’s Fizz. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!!! Superb little cafe

It might sound like a strange place to pop in for a drink & something to eat but they really are nice people here and it's a peaceful setting to relax and ponder. We only dropped in to lay flowers for my mother's birthday but although overcast, it was a fine day.

They do funeral catering as well as normal café facilities. Being unable to book the main on site venue I turned to the café and I'm so glad I did. At 10am a big room meal would have been inappropriate and being able to sit outside in the Courtyard Cafe's immaculate courtyard with fresh teas and coffees, so delicious home made cakes and bottles of water on hand was wonderful. My family happily looked at old photos and reminisced while eating and drinking with absolutely no 'hurry ups' whatsoever. The waitress came and did refills and handed round cakes, but we could get whatever we wanted and the cakes were LOVELY. Thank you, Sharon, and your team for taking the stress out of the after funeral for me and your costs were incredibly low compared to what it would have cost in the main venue, although obviously I would have happily paid that. I preferred the café setting, everyone was happy, thank you all.

Wouldn't think of going to a crem to eat but have been going weekly with friends. Don't expect exotic cuisine what you get is good food cheap. Example 2 x corned beef hash (homemade) fresh salad and a large latte under a tenner. Went at Christmas for festive meal best one I had over Christmas. Afternoon teas are good

We are regular customers to the Cafe in Sandwell Valley. It is clean and welcoming and we enjoy the food especially the cheese and potato pie with the best fresh side salad we have ever eaten. The staff are very obliging and we are looking forward to their special Christmas Lunch. Highly recommended for a snack that satisfies.

I booked the Courtyard Cafe at Sandwell Crematorium for a small family wake following my fathers funeral. The owner made the booking experience very easy, the food was nice quality and plentiful and we were given the opportunity to relax and celebrate my dad's life in a small annex room which was perfect for our needs. Highly recommended.

We used this as the venue for a post-funeral wake. It's not somewhere you would chance upon, but it is open to the public and offers good quality cakes, sandwiches and drinks - better than your typical cafe food. Service is friendly, and the unusual location (it's where the old Crematorium was) is certainly a talking point (and it's lovely and peaceful). The owner was very helpful and accommodating when we were organising the wake, so if you need somewhere for such an event I would not hesitate to recommend it. The cafe has a top hygiene rating, and the whole place is clean and neat. Deserves to do well, it's not your average cafe and is in a lovely spot.

Not what it used to be. I've visited porkys for many many years, following its change of management my first visit was ok, food was decent. But my most recent visit a few days ago was absolutely terrible. Service was good, staff friendly and cheap prices, but the full English I bought was simply inedible, hash browns massively over cooked, fried eggs were not fully cooked (even the egg whites were a bit runny/snotty) and I've never had such salty sausages in all my life. Sadly will not be returning to what was once a fantastic cafe.

Best tandoori, juicy and tender in the inside, with a slightly crispy. Giving it that perfect bite.
