15 of us came for our friends get-together and we had a great time. The service, as always, was excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent, we had a wide variety of starters and mains with side orders and every meal was excellent. The portion sizes are great, infact the starts are huge! This restaurant is such great value for money. Poppadoms, starters, mains, side orders, soft drinks... all for £20 per head.. take your own alcoholic drinks. If you haven't been, go!!

My daughter returned home for a holiday from Canada and on her bucket list was a good Indian meal as she could not get this in Vancouver. We visited Tikka Town on Sunday night and on arrival were greeted by a well dressed man called Syed who showed us to our table and explained the menu. The food arrived which was well presented and hot which we all enjoyed. The restaurant was very clean and had the perfect atmosphere and decorated well. A big thank you to Syed who was very professional and polite and made our evening perfect and my daughter really enjoyed her meal. Well done to the Chef and staff.

We live locally, but had never visited this curry house since it became known as Tikka Town, and based on all the positive reviews, we decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, we strongly regret that we did, and ended up being thankful that we didn't invite more people along. Granted, the food was excellent, and met the high bar set by many other curry houses in the Birmingham area, thus I would still recommend this place for takeaways. Dining in, however? No chance. I understand it can't be helped that it essentially occupies the upper floor of a relatively small house, so the dining room itself is pretty cramped. It also couldn't be helped that on the other side of the room during our visit, there appeared to be a birthday party with at least half a dozen children who, inevitably, were making noise. Noise that was exacerbated by the small size of the room. However, what could be helped is that there was only one person manning the room at any given time, and he basically looked like he didn't want to be there. No welcoming smile or recommendations, and he spent most of our visit stood behind the counter, not engaging with customers. Other members of staff would come out of the kitchen in order to serve the food, but they also lacked the charisma that you would expect from a waiter. Their job was to place the food down on the table and then leave. In his defence, the one guy in the dining room did eventually come over and ensure everything was alright with our meals, but I get the impression that he was probably overworked, taking on the role of 2 or 3 people all by himself. Other issues included waiting times for literally everything, such as 20-30 mins to even be served at all (see above), or in excess of an hour for our mains to arrive (I guess it was worth the wait, but in other curry houses you'd likely wait much less time for equally good food), and the fact that the restaurant had two different menus (the main menu and another menu for a kind of "2 meals for x amount" deal), yet only the latter was initially placed on our table, despite having a far more limited selection. I must reiterate that the food was excellent, so I recommend you still consider this place for takeaway. But don't be deceived by the high ratings if you're planning on eating in, as there are a plethora of better options within the north-east Birmingham area.

Brilliant night organised a table for 17 - everyone enjoyed their meals not one complaint - brilliant food and the service was excellent would definitely recommend and would definitely go again. The food is so reasonably priced as you take your own drinks which keeps the cost down - thank you so much all the staff at Tikka Town for a great night.

Came here with a group of friends on Saturday 18th Dec and had a great time. The food was excellent as was the service. Poppadoms with 4 different dips, 2x meat samosas, chicken tikka balti with naan bread, all for £16... yes £16!!!. You bring your own alcohol so it really keeps the cost down. I would recommend without hesitation and will definitely go again when back in Birmingham.

Outstanding value for money on Tuesday and Wednesday with their £10 deal for popadom, pickles, starter, main, rice. No licence so bring your own booze. I think place has been refurbished since some of previous reviews. Quite funky modern interior. Food quality was good.

I have usually have nothing but positive comments for Tikka town, the food is always spot on. However the last meal I ordered (takeaway) was a Balti that tasted more like the base sauce of a spaghetti bolognese. It won’t put me off returning because as I said the food is usually amazing but if you are reading this Tikka town you need to up your game on the Balti. I will definitely be giving it a miss in the future.

Lovely birthday meal! My planned birthday meal out could not go ahead due to the lockdown so we decided on take away. This was the first time I have had food from here since it changed hands and prior to this I would say it was a bit bland however today the food was delish!!! They offer the Eat out to help out offer (tues/wed/thurs) which was a papadom and dip a starter main and rice or naan for £10 and the food was plentiful and very fresh! Will defo be dining in once the lockdown is over. Great food and nice helpful staff too!

My Wife and I took our grandsons to Tikka Town and it was an all-round thumbs up from everyone. The staff are always very attentive and we're especially this evening with the grandsons. The boys had chicken and spinach balti which we asked they reduce the heat a little and they said it was perfect. I had the Bhaijaans Lamb and my Wife had Chicken Sagwala and as ever was beautiful and tasty. The boys finished with chocolate Cheesecake which they said was the 'best of the best' and we had kulfi ice cream with ginger and almonds - so creamy and delicious👌 Definitely our 'go to curry restaurant'

Well organized social distancing on arrival and clean spaced tables. Food - awesome veggie platter, chefs special lamb, prawns special, naan, rice, kulfi. Faultless This is what we have missed during lockdown. Friendly , efficient service as usual. just hope they sign up for Mr Sunak's scheme and I can eat there for half price throughout August. Mind you -cost of a new wardrobe that fits might offset the savings
