First time Dinning at rosso e nero food was delicious and pipping hot , the food did take a while to come but they did give us some bread to snack on while waiting which was very thoughtful. Ambience was very comfortable and relaxing overall great place to dine with authentic Italian food
We were recommended to visit and we did. Overall 8/10, whilst the food was good it was over priced dor what we had. Starters paticularly expense for what we were served. Good service and good location but pricing needs to be reviewed. The previous weekend we had the same quality Sunday roast in Towcester, great service at 25% lower. That's all.

Love this pub. Always friendly. Zero trouble. Pet friendly. Great food. A real “local”. Nothing is too much trouble. Pete and Emily run n a great place to enjoy a pint.
Keith Chester

Check in was very smooth. Had many staff in hand and they walked you to your room too offering help with luggage. The only complaint I had about the entire trip was the signage to find our room and get about the hotel. Everything else was wonderful. Huge room. Bath you could swim in. Somerset closet with fridge.
Food was excellent. Good value. And service throughout was excellent. Beth who looked after us was just a delight. She looked after us with our dinner pre theatre and drinks after.
Ideal location for the RSC theatre. Literally across the road. We had the dinner bed and breakfast package for one night which included £35 pp for dinner which covered the three course set menu. Breakfast buffet was high quality but with slightly less choice than other continental buffets, but the eggs Benedict were amazing.
Parking is £10 for a night and is secure. They give you a token on check out.
Overall great stay. Thank you.
Great pub with a wonderful welcome. Nothing's too much and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
Perfect stopping point for a light lunch or a full on evening meal.
Second visit to this lovely restaurant, went with a party of 6 last night and really can’t fault the place, the guy who runs the place is so friendly and humerus and really can’t do enough for you,the food was superb and considering you’re in the centre of Lichfield the prices are very reasonable,we said we were going to a show and he made sure that we were served within plenty of time.Would highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back in a couple of months when we will be back to Lichfield
This restaurant was recommended to us by someone with coeliac disease as gluten free. We were placing an order and when we asked to confirm that it was gluten free they agreed. When we checked the different fryers/oil were used for gluten and non gluten items, they confirmed that the same fryers are used for both and that it is gluten friendly rather than gluten free! There is no such thing as gluten friendly! You cannot use the same fryers for gluten containing food.
Went for Sunday dinner and we found the portion sizes were lacking it's like the owner/chef think they are Michelin star establishment. My mixed roast beef was nearly £25 and you had next to no veg and only 3 roast potatoes it was more like a child's portion. My partner has had weight loss and even she managed to finish it when she is limited to what she can eat portion wise. They showed us the dessert menu and let me tell you we weren't giving them the time or day at the £9 plus price bracket and inadequate choices. We decided as a group to go to a dessert shop afterwards then give them more of our money and we left still being HUNGRY. Don't recommend this to anyone. If you are going to charge these prices make sure you make the portions/quality match and they certainly didn't.
