We popped in on the off chance this was dog friendly pub. It is a very dog friendly pub with excellent food. Great food, great music on the speakers, very friendly staff. A welcome treat. We will be coming here again. A good selection of Thatchers ciders. Good value for money as well. We were very happy. We will be back.

Great ice cream parlour come cafe. A wide selection of ice cream flavours available . Fantastic variety of sundea styles. Hot and cold foods . Eat in or takeaway. It does get extremely busy and is very popular with both locals and tourists alike.

Still the best vegetarian restaurant in Devon in my opinion, but like with many things these days some portions seem to have gotten smaller whilst the prices are understandably rising. Still some favourites on the menu but sadly no longer the garlic salsa bread, which has been the favourite for years. Had a risotto today which had very little amount of advertised ingredients, peas and leak, and seemed to be cheaply made without any side vegetables or salad. The portions used to be generous, always with plenty of veg and flavour, now the menu seems to have lots of cheap filler breads like pittas and burgers, and less and less wholesome local produce. I hope the menu can be brought back closer to what it used to be as after the last couple of times we are in no hurry to go back. Sad, as always a friendly welcoming place and a positive example of what an independent local business can accomplish.

Didn’t enjoy the roast dinner. Wish I had the burger. Paid for a large roast and I’d say it was a small . 4 small roast potatoes a whole Yorkshire and some meat and vegetables. It was £5:75 more than a small which was 2 roast potatoes and half a Yorkshire 😂 and vegetables.when do you get half a Yorkshire.?🤷🏼♀️ Potatoes where hard like they had been cooked for a while and the Yorkshire was very well done and hard . Can understand the extra money from small to large.. I’m sure the roast potatoes were frozen.. wish I’d stay at home totally wasted my money could of done a lot better for less than £10 and saved myself over £30 . I know it’s very hard running a pub now a days but if you do a Sunday roast it’s got to be decent. Potatoes don’t cost a lot and I’d rather wait a while and get fresh food rather than food that had been kept warm for a while. Very disappointed

After I thoroughly confused the guy serving about what I wanted, we ended up with warm scones… not the end of the world, we just had to wait a bit longer. I will say that their cream tea is a dream. Scones are exceptional! Not all cream teas are made the same, and the quality of the scones dictate this. Excellent scones and fruit to boot!
