Had a flat white and almond chai latte, as well as a vegan gluten free power bowl and a mushroom, leek, and cheese toastie. Great for vegan and gluten free people and no bother to make as it’s all fresh. Some of the best and most deliciously fresh food we’ve had and well worth the price. All the ingredients are high level, even the cheese and bread in a humble toastie. Side salad was incredible and I never thought I’d be waxing lyrical over a side salad. Great spot to sit and meet passing dogs.

Fab little cafe. Unfortunately the menu doesn't have many vegetarian options, and no vegetarian sausages or bacon or anything for alternatives for the breakfast so it would be nice if they updated that. The leek and mushroom toastie was amazing! It sounds strange and I didn't know what to expect but it was beautiful. We all had different toasties and all of us loved them. The easter egg cheesecakes were absolute heaven! And the drinks were all lovely. I'll definitely go again

Unbelievably good food amazing drinks I will be taking cake home every single this that we ordered I tried and was blown away by each dish. The staff have been nothing but amazing, the coffees are to die for. Love love love the music the decor I have already recommended this to my family and friends and I'm yet to leave. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Such a wonderful cafe that went above and beyond to make my Grandads birthday special. I made a simple request of a surprise coffee and cake and they stuck out a birthday banner, chocolate personalised writing on the cake and even treated the others to cake. Highly recommend!!

We need more places like this in Torquay. Amazing coffee, hipster decor, good food that’s interesting and good quality! Haven’t found anywhere in this country where I can have a good Vietnamese coffee…Will be back!! Suits a younger and older crowd

🤤 Everything at Burridges is magnificent. A classic looking menu until you look further and see some delicious twists which let's you know a true culinary creative is in the kitchen! Hands down the best hash browns I've ever had, and it's such a great feeling as a vegetarian to have so much to choose from. Incredible cake selection, made it impossible for my partner and I to choose one each so we left with four 😅 And the coffee is so obviously crafted by someone who knows speciality - best coffee in Torquay. Such a funky little coffee shop, I'll definitely be back, ideally with a book so I can spend the entire day eating my way through the menu.

A varied and very interesting menu, every dish we had was top quality and executed perfectly. The coffee was excellent and all enjoyed in a perfect harbour side location. Well worth a visit!

Amazing brunch! (Would’ve also worked for breakfast!) Delicious creamy yogurt with fresh berries and bananas and crunchy granola. The granola was just right- not too sweet - with lots of nuts. Generous helping!! Always pleasant service- my “go to” place when I am in Torquay! Oh - and the coffee - fabulous latte!

For anyone seeking genuinely good filter, batch brew or drip coffee, this is the place you need to come. On our visit they had Cosmic Key from Dark Arts roasting, Colombian coffee from Finca Las Flores with an amazing candy grape aroma. Funky and delicious. Fantastic service from the staff who had a great knowledge of the coffee and skill in the brewing. Top notch.

Popped in on the off chance and so glad we did. Food absolutely lovely and the cakes are even better. Staff really polite and service on point. Perfect place for lunch. Highly recommend.

Popped in here for a quick lunch and had a great Ploughman's sarnie. Even the salad was tasty 😂 a lovely dressing with seeds. Nice drinks, friendly staff and nice plants on the shelves.

Lovely cafe facing Torquay harbour. We enjoyed the Devon Cream Tea - two scones (fruit and plain) served with jam and clotted cream and a pot of tea. (£7.95). The cafe has some outside seating too. Had to order at the counter. Friendly enough staff.

My new favourite coffee house! Burridges takes care to make excellent coffee and artisan foods including some vegan and gluten free options.

We go here every year for a cup of tea and a slice of cake !! Cakes are fantastic and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Really fantastic coffee, hot chocolate made with real chocolate (milk, 70%, or dark), and lovely scones with real clotted cream. Great find. We'll definitely be back soon.

Fabulous gluten-free scones jam and cream with a pot of tea my coeliac partner was over the moon I had and normal scones with pot of tea it was also delicious can't believe we found this absolute gem 😋

What a great place for a tea and cake. The staff so friendly and helpful from when we walked and and left 30 mins later. Was brilliant that we could get gluten free food with no hassle. Everything fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend.

This establishment is pleasantly situated next to the quay if the old harbour. We enjoyed cake and iced milk teas, and I noticed some nearby customers were audibly pleased with their cream tea. The toilet facilities were clean and well cared for, and include a fold-down table for changing babies' nappies.

Friendly welcome. Varied menu. We got two really tasty cream tea scones which were a very good size and reasonably priced.

Wow...what a cozy little cafe! We visited Torquay for the day and I had earmarked this place for a light lunch. They have limited seating and we were lucky that there was room. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was simply incredible. We both had the breakfast sandwich, which consisted of sausage, bacon and egg on some honey drizzled bread (forgotten the style of bread), it was incredible. There was two toilets there too, which is always a bonus. We would definetly return (maybe on a sunny day next time!)

The best independent cafe in Devon! The staff are so lovely and the food is just as good!! Cakes, brownies, traybakes, toasties, brunch… they offer everything. And obviously I can’t forget the cofffee!! It is all amazing and tastes great. It’s on the quay so sitting outside in the summer is amazing. They always have a range of different traybakes and cakes each time we go in and they all taste so goood. Went in the other day and we arrived just after they finished serving lunch at 3pm but they were happy to accommodate and let us order despite being a little late!! Definitely recommend the cheesy leeks and mushroom toastie if you visit 😋 been multiple times and will definitely be going again. Very affordable prices too.

Me (vegan), my friend (vegetarian) and my dog (lively but well behaved) - went for a lovely Latte and Cappuccino and my friend had a tea cake the other morning. They offered us any table we liked as we were the first ones there and happily answered our questions about what was vegan. The service was quick and the staff were friendly, coming over to say hello to my dog and saying goodbye when we left. Good music, good decor, good vibe! Also clean bathroom with ladies products in a basket at the back which was a nice choice.

Always a pleasure, friendly and nice staff, the Naan sandwich set with the always fresh salad and ingredients is to die for 🤤you can even call ahead to pre order for take away. Absolute staple for me along the harbour. Grab a coffee almost every day and love the food. Their themed nights are absolutely incredible, me and mum make sure we’re booked into every one. Loveliest staff and loveliest food, cannot recommended enough :)

Got in by accident for the ‘bring your own booze’ night. Got the platter for two and it was just amazing. Just perfect.

Credit due, where credits due! Wow! This was the first Naanwich I have ever had. It was like a party 🥳 in my mouth, through the entire time of eating this. Everything I have tried was absolutely amazing. This is no exaggeration. I tried my son’s Ham and Cheese toastie, a Biscoff and Kinder cookie pie! 👌 and the Raspberry and lemon cake 🍰 😍 Unreal, well done!

I can confidently say that this is the best place to eat in Torquay. They have a great variety of dishes catering to the modern dietary spectrum. I'm a vegetarian and my wife is vegan, and there is loads of delicious options for us.

Great food and drinks. We had the Chicken Tikka Nannwich and the Ploughman's Sarnie, both were very tasty, the Nannwich was quite large. The Earl Grey Creme Tea and Ginger Ale were very good as well.

If you want breaky, brunch, lunch or the best cake & coffee in Torquay this is your venue. Lovely light & airey atmosphere in the heart of the marina. I can recommend the healthy plate & carrot cake but there's so much more, it's all fresh & damn good!

A lovely spot on the harbour in Torquay. The food selection is great and a little bit different to other local offerings. The food was really well made made and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of interesting vegan options, great coffee and hot chocolate.

We had a wonderful coffee and toasted tea cake mid morning. Excellent place made to feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Would recommend to go there and enjoy the food.we went back the following afternoon and had the cheese scones they came with wedges of West country cheese slices of apple and two types of chutney and a pot of excellent leaf tea. Will have to wait too come back to Torquay again to enjoy more of your excellent fayre. Thank You.

What a lovely place. Very welcoming and spotlessly clean. Charlie and Agie are a smashing couple and they have a star in Alison on the counter. I had a mini cream tea, plenty of jam and cream, beautiful scone too. Second time I’ve eaten there and that was equally as good. Would highly recommend a visit and hoping next time I’m in I can get one of Agie’s famous sausage rolls!!

We were lucky as sat outside in the sun, view of the harbour. Service great and friendly. We had soup of the day 10/10 for flavour and taste well worth a visit.

Just finished a afternoon cream tea after seeking this establishment out based on others reviews. I can honestly say that the fruit scones are one of the best I have tasted,so light and fruity. The service was excellent and we were made most welcome. If in Torquay seek this place out by the harbour you will not be disappointed.

Always great. I haven't been here since lockdown and it's just as good as I remember!!! Banging tea and the Devon tea I'd still the best around here. I didn't even get a chance for an Instagram picture I just had to eat.

What a lovely place, we sat in the window which looked over the marina. The staff were very friendly. I had quiche with sweet potato and feta and thyme with a yummy fresh salad. My husband enjoyed a savoury tea with cheese scones and chutney. The portions were generous so we were too full for pudding! We will come again tomorrow for a cream tea.

Lovely lunch and very filling! Reasonable pricing as well. We shall be making a return very soon indeed.
