Ginger and Garlic in Cheltenham

It's become my girlfriend and my favourite restaurant, whenever we go its a 45 minute drive but worth it every time. Wide range of different asian foods to try. Staff are very friendly and the price is very reasonable for the quality. Would recommend to anyone who likes authentic asian foods.

Always lovely being here!! Food is always immaculate and hearty. I always demolish the oi-munchim every time I visit. I drive about 1.5 hrs to visit here because the food is just that good!! Love it so much!!

The food is very tasty but i cannot give 5 stars as they do not respect the program, they almost all the time close the restaurant earlier with 1 hour, sometimes 2 hours before 10pm..

This Korean food shop opened by Chinese has been open for more than 30 years. There are barbecues and rotating ones. The bibimbap is delicious. The kimchi fried rice is also a must-have. Reasonable prices and enthusiastic service. A rare good store.

Ordered takoyaki and beef bibimbap. Bibimbab was good and flavourful. If it could have come with rice crust would be perfect.

Not really sure why this has such good rating. Perhaps because it is the only korean place in Cheltenham? But this is NOT korean at all. I love korean food and have been to Korean places including Korea itself and this is not authentic korean food. It taste more like Chinese food to me. My last order included teokbokki and that tasted like microwaveble teokbokki. Been here twice and I think I will keep it that way. All my experiences in this place has been disappointing. The only redeeming points is the waitress and atmosphere of the place is good.

Inexpensive Korean restaurant located in the less affable east side of Cheltenham. Popular. Some tables for four have rotating BBQ stations for you to cook your own food on skewers. Lots of noodle dishes plus bao buns and gyoza. Waitress kept forgetting orders and had to be reminded. Overall quite good..

Food was nice and reasonable priced. The woman who served us forgot to bring a starter and a drink we had asked for. Other than that, everything ok.

Good quality food and surprisingly good value! Little tired decor but clean and comfortable. Ginger and Garlic has amazing prices for amazing food and that's what matters!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE food! The food was hot, seasoned and just incredible! Very good selection both vegetarian vegan and some gluten free. We had 5 people got starters mains drinks desserts and a bottle of wine bill and sake, bill was £130! Absolutely incredible portions and prices, staff was super attentive and the atmosphere was cozy, if you haven’t tried it’s a must! Thank you so much!

Tell me another place in or around Cheltenham that serves better Korean food than this because, personally, I don't believe one exists.

This is some of the best Korean food I have tested. Service was really fast although a bit rushed at times. The value for money is amazing. If ur in Cheltheham this is the place to be!!!

Went last night and found the food a bit grim despite loving Korean food. This is not a high quality joint. Went for the selection of meat skewers and left most of it and as the beef skewer was very tough and the beef and others were largely tasteless. Chilli chicken bibimbap was ok.

This place is absolutely delicious. I only had I believe was the chicken bao buns and the beef chow mein but it is SO SO SO GOOD!! The chow mein was so fresh honestly the best chow mein I have had and I have tried a lot of them 😂 the bao buns were so yummy too I’ve never tried them before and now I cannot stop thinking about them 🐖 this is so worth checking out. On the menu I also noticed that meals can be catered to vegetarians and vegans too so absolutely worth visiting for everyone 😊

Not bad food, I would say for the price it is pretty good value. However some of the items on the menu are not Korean at all like the pad Thai.

Only had the Bulgogi Bimibap & Pulled Pork Buns. Both were amazing and great portion sizes. Would highly recommend and super reasonably priced.

The rolling BBQ is an interesting dinning experience, especially with kids. However, I have to say the meat is seasoned way too much, apparently because they are not fresh. There’s no seafood at all in the seafood pancake. It’s a fun dinning experience but in terms of food I don’t think we will place a visit again.

My favourite Korean restaurant. Food is perfect and well priced. Delicious kimchi. I eat here every chance I get.

Went here for a karaoke party. They have a dedicated room for that. The restaurant was much busier than anywhere else in town, some decent Asian beers too. Had a bibimbap which wasn't the best I have had, but still well worth a visit if you like the Korean vibe.

A great little place, with plenty of choice. You can always guarantee a good meal here and the place is always very busy when I have been. I would 100% recommend the beef bibimbap!

My favourite restaurant in Gloucestershire. Celebrated my birthday here with family who were all blown away by the food. Would particularly recommend the soft shell crab bao bun and duck ramen. Just mind blowingly delicious and great service, whilst being a completely unfussy family run restaurant.

17/11 My family visited this place again and the service was good.Just like before the food was nice and we enjoyed it so much. The food are fine and nice.the two lady server are pleasant but the man (not sure if his the owner) wearing a suit when we visited is quite uptight and unapproachable. But dnt let his attitude ruined the moment and just enjoy the lovely foods and your time with whoever your with,that visit i was with my family celebrating my son's 13th birthday.

Excellent authentic Korean food, plus some Japanese and Chinese additions. Good value. The only criticism is the standard cabbage kimchi is the sour type like from the Asian supermarket, not quite as good as it really is in Korea.

Excellent food, huge choice, reasonable prices. Service was swift, and the staff are genuinely lovely people. I will recommend Ginger and Garlic to friends and hope to visit again soon.

My favourite takeaway in Cheltenham. The website to complete the online orders is a bit primative and can be hard to use, but their loyalty discount is appreciated and the food is excellent. The food is always ready on time. I have never had a bad meal from Ginger and Garlic

The food was bland and tasteless. Ordered chicken teriyaki ramen , received PORK teriyaki. Staff try fooled me that is chicken. The worst possible place to eat.AVOID!!!

Had the bbq skewers and some appetizers. It was so good, only giving them 4 stars for food because i wish they had more skewer options but besides that food was delicious and service was amazing. Our waitress was so attentive and the sweetest lady ever!! Will definately come back if I am ever in Cheltenham again!!

I went with my partner and another couple and felt it was all a bit rushed. The starters came out several minutes apart and before we'd even got half way through them, the mains arrived which led to a bit of a struggle to get everything on the table. The food was pretty average and before my partner had finished eating, they started to clear away the plates. Won't be on our list of places to revisit!

Always exceptional! We have visited as a couple, with friends in smaller and larger groups and they’re always more than accommodating! Incredible customer service, whether it comes to dietary requirements or simply changes to dishes they’re always happy to accommodate. The staff are always lovely and even on a busy evening, a quick call and they’re always happy to accommodate. The prices are far more than reasonable for the quality (as well as quantity) of food that is served, have and will come back again and again. A Cheltenham restaurant that we hope is here to stay forever! 💗

Surprisingly we found a good quality of Korean restaurant in Gloucester. Both quality and quantity are reasonable and worth of money. Therefore, we come back in next day to try their bbq food. Though it’s not genuine Korean style, I like it. All the dishes are yum. 1st day we ordered 4 dishes for 2 persons and charged £34 and 2nd day was £44 for BBQ food and tofu seafood soup. I liked it the most.

Ordered online took my money 2 hours later no delivery and nobody answers the phone. Useless!!!!

Very fast paced no faff restaurant, but if you're in for some amazing Korean food,this is the place to go. The service is attentive and fast, we started eating within 5 min of our order. The food is amazing and come in generous portions. we were particularly impressed by the tenderness of the beef bulgogi, it melted in your mouth like butter. We'll definitely go back more often!

Nice restaurant with good choice of food. Enjoyed my dinner. Visited Bourton-on-the-Water and found this restaurant while searching on Google. It was about 30-35mins drive. Parked our car in the city centre which wasn’t that far away from the restaurant. Won’t be disappointed!

it is not even korean, the sauce for the bbq are kimchi sauce, oyster sauce and wasabi.

Very friendly owners, they delight in letting you try the various options on the menu, offering smaller portions and tasters. The menu is really authentic and an excellent opportunity to delve into this Korean / far east cuisine while remaining in England

Fabulous, fresh and flavourful food. Five star service, lovely staff. We ate in and had a delivery the next day as it was so good! Delivery arrived promptly and hot.

We spent an hour drive from Bristol, just having 50 minutes dinner but have been urged to leave, kids like 8 years old serving us, very bad service, very disappointing.

We went for karaoke party /dinner with 6 teenagers. OMG the best evening! The food was delicious and there was plenty, loved the karaoke room, the staff were so lovely, double thumbs up and ☆☆☆☆☆!!

Found this place last minute,popped in a short while later and had a really delicious beef bulgogi hot pot - super yummy, would absolutely recommend (is like a soup with beef, mushrooms, glass noodles, soft boiled egg, and a bowl of rice). Also had tofu/veggie bibimbap, which was also good - the gojuchang sauce is what made it! Very clean no frills restaurant. Would come back!

Don’t waste your time if you are looking for authentic Korean cuisine - really disappointed by our dining experience the food was bland and each dish tasted the same. The Diet Coke was flat too. The wrong dish was delivered to our table and when we highlighted the honest mistake and requested the correct dish the waitress approach our table aggressively and attempted to argue that we had made the mistake and ordered incorrectly. No plans to come again

A lovely Fathers Day Sunday Lunch for a table of 5. Food was incredible! Highlights for us was the prawn starter and the bao buns. We had chicken and duck... delicious. The katsu, and ramen were amazing. Such a great experience, can't wait to go back for more.

Decent prices and fresh tasty food

Lovely food, tasted amazing just bursting with flavour. Had the chicken wings to start and the Beef bulgogi. The staff were welcoming and very attentive, guided us through the menu.

Food is tasty, fresh and delicious. Order taking can sometimes get confusing and sometimes foods are served in funny order like appetisers are served after the mains. But overall, we love eating there.

The food was amazing and they served relatively quick considering all the tables were full when I was there. Highly recommend the Kimchi tteobokki, amazing.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is exceptional and will take your breath away. The menu is so big and offers so many great classic Korean dishes. Every dish I’ve had is a 10/10, fresh and tasty. The food is also so cheap and so affordable. Ramen is £9.50. Where else is food that cheap? The food comes out so quickly and waiters are so attentive and so lovely!

This is my Cheltenham go to. Been here more times than I can count and will continue to. Beef Bulgogi is my gold standard. All the starters are great but I would highly recommend the spare ribs.

Great place, a hidden gem. A large range of plates full of delicious flavours, there are also Korean bbqs on each table and a karaoke room. Ate the H1 and roast duck nap buns and I’m in love, Don’t miss it !

A hearty korean meal. It was slightly strong on salt but tasted great. They also give you a stamp card so you can get your 9th meal for free!
