The Eurasia in Cheltenham

After trying so many places for curry, I can’t believe I found the best on my doorstep! The quality of food is fantastic sat down or takeaway, we have even converted friends to Eurasia! My wife and I have enjoyed evenings together alone, with friends and a big group of family and they have never disappointed! My wife enjoys the mild dishes like chicken Korma and I enjoy very hot and get the Naga. Both dishes are full of flavour and we have never had a bad experience.

I can’t rate this restaurant highly enough . I have been coming here to eat both dining and takeaway for a number of years. Without exception the quality of food is fantastic - fresh ingredients and a constantly high standard , which is unusual in the food industry . The restaurant is impeccably clean and modern looking and staff always well dressed and very professional . It is a very well run establishment and a credit to the owners . Highly recommended

Went here for our Christmas work dinner. You can tell the staff are well trained and care about the food and service. Great food, great service and lovely decor.

Food was more than disappointing. My dish which i expected to be dry was incredibly sweet instead and other ordered dishes were merely bland, oily and boring. The cheesy naan bread was gooey and the cheese itself tasted of nothing. Perplexed why this place has so many positive reviews.

Very disappointing food; bland, overly sweet. Lacking any substantial flavours you'd expect from decent Indian dishes, which was a big shame as we were looking forward to it after all the good reviews.

Visited the restaurant after seeing plenty of good reviews, and having struggled to find a good Indian restaurant in and around Cheltenham, however it was to be a major disappointment. The service was fairly poor, with them taking a long time to even take our initial drinks orders, then taking a very long time to bring out the table water, and the staff certainly didn't give the impression that they wanted to be working there. The food was very unimpressive, perhaps the worst I've experienced in an Indian restaurant for a very long time. We ordered 3 different meals, one vegeterian paneer dish was excessively sweet, almost like eating confectionary, and clearly an excessive amount of food colouring added, another was a balti dish, which was very oily and incredible bland, and the only meal that was okay was the Dansak, but it too was very sweet and lacking in the sourlike balance that this dish should offer. There was even some vegetable stalk that would usually be remove that somehow ended up in one of the dishes, that at first we thought may be a bit of bone or even a cocktail stick. The staff initially handled it by trying to explain away the issue, stating it is from a vegetable, but only accepted it is not meant to be served after we pointed this out. Overall, a very poor experience, and I am wondering how it receives so many positive reviews, have others not experienced any other restaurants, or is this the best Cheltenham has to offer? Nonetheless, we will not be returning, and would recommend others to look elsewhere too.

We had takeaway rather than dine in so I can't comment on the dine in experience. The food is excellent, well priced and lots of variety.

Got some lamb bhuna and naan for dinner and it was delicious. The staff were welcoming too.

Ordered a takeout for my mother and i had prawn vindaloo, as I like spicy dishes, it had a good level of heat and importantly wasn’t oily at all. I had Tarka Dhall too, which was full of flavour. My mother had the Dhansak and she said it was the best curry she’d ever had in her life! So you can’t get a better review than that. Highly recommended.

Order the butter chicken and Panner tikka . Disappointed that it had lots of coconut in the sauce. We’ve have been to many Indian restaurants and never had either of these dishes like this. Very bland and also very sweet which is strange.

I went here years ago but I can't really remember the details. So I recently went with some workmates. Overall the service was very good. Quick and polite. The drinks were good. We went on a Thursday night around 7pm and it was quite quiet. There were only 3 tables in, so we ended up being the loudest table. The food was alright, and the group agreed. Not the best food we have had from a local Indian restaurant but alright.

Not had a bad meal from here yet, always tasty and fresh with the right amount of spice. Beer on tap is nice too.

I strongly recommend this restaurant! The food was excellent, and the service was good - attentive without being overbearing. Portions are a very good size, and full of flavour. Amusingly, we found the filling in the Keema-Naan wasn't very even - so, when sharing one of those, someone gets lucky and gets the filling! On a Friday evening it was pretty full, so I'd recommend booking a table. I plan to go back.

Very clean and well presented restaurant, staff very helpful and the beer is good. Fantastic food. Dips for the poppadoms are good and the Naga chicken curry was not just very hot but also very tasty. Location just on the edge of town is great and this restaurant is now my Indian restaurant of choice and of course I will be back time and time again

Called in on the off chance on a Friday night ... Wishing I hadn't. Beer was flat which matched the service. Wasn't busy which is always I little worrying, and the food took ages to arrive, and when it didn't I was starting to wish it hadn't. My son who will normally plod on and eat anything even had a frown, 2 drinks and 2 mains,rice naans was nearly £50! When paying i wasn't asked how was everything because I believe they already knew the answer... Bland. KOLOSHI in Cheltenham is the best by a mile and the same sort of price. The pharse you get what you pay for doesn't apply here :(

5 star hygiene certificate. Spotless loos - and excellent food. Poppadoms freshly cooked and served with a lovely & fresh array of condiments. All our mains were exceptional as was the rice and the various breads. Super efficient service and a bill of just £140 which included drinks wine food and liquor coffees - Well done all at the Eurasia

Excellent Tandoori and Balti Restaurant . Good service and pleasant well appointed dining area . Generous portions with delicious breads made in house . The stuffed parathas are superb . We have visited twice during our stay in cheltenham and would not hesitate to recommend to our family and friends . Reasonable prices for good food .

The nicest Indian I've visited in Cheltenham for a long time. It's been there a long time but this was my first visit and they didn't disappoint.

Food really only just passable. My chicken tikka was so RED looked unhealthy and was too sweet for what ostensibly a savoury dish My husband's Rogan Josh very very ordinary. Very depressed looking waiter🤨

Always too much too eat….unlike an earlier review there is actually so much of that amazing rice that I had to take some home in a takeaway bag. Really kind and generous service, and seriously cheap.

I've been here so many times and in fact was the place I went to eat out first upon moving Cheltenham, but i've never reviewed it before. Well that finally changes now. I love it here, staff friendly, and the food is great. Best tikka masala I've had in Chelt and most importantly they do Cheese Naans! My only slight criticism is that there's not enough rice to go with how much of whatever dish you go for.

Unpretentious curry restaurant, which Cheltenham seems otherwise short of. There aren't many surprises on the menu but the food is good, the ambience is welcoming and it seems pretty popular.

We had a lovely meal here recently. Good service, great food and reasonably priced.

Had chicken pakora and tandori chicken for starters and what a disappointment that was,bland and just tasteless. After having a word with a waiter i asked him to make sure mains have some flavour to it and i have to say it was nice. Reason for low score is based on starters and the fact that waiter did not even daid sorry or smile felt like he is there because he had to. Shame really as it used to be such a great place to go to

Quick delivery, well within the estimated time and food was piping hot. We had a lamb bhuna and vegetable dupiaza. Both were excellent and highly recommended, as was the rest of the food. Definitely going back. Best curry I've had in a long time!

We love to dine in at this friendly restaurant where dishes are always fresh and of a high standard. We didn’t realise until recently that they offered a free delivery service which we have used twice now. Their take away is excellent. It arrived on time, hot, freshly cooked and of the standard we were used to at the restaurant. We ordered directly from their website to avoid delivery costs and were rewarded with free poppadoms and raita. We will definitely be using them as our default Indian takeaway from now on.

La comida era muy buena, caliente, sabrosa y con una excelente relación calidad-precio.Personal amable y servicial.La bandeja de encurtidos era realmente buena, muchos encurtidos, ya que sé que algunos restaurantes pueden ser bastante ajustados con las porciones, ¡definitivamente no es el caso aquí! !Teníamos pakora de pollo - bhajis. Encantador.Los platos principales eran preciosos, frescos y calientes y te dieron un descanso intermedio, lo que siempre ayuda.¡Me encantó!

Decent Indian food. Not too great. The vegetarian dishes have eggs in them (although this is common for European dishes, this is not common in India). However, staff were very friendly.

Visit everytime we come to Cheltenham races ( November / March ) . And its spot on. As usual poppodoms, lime pickle and yoghurt sauces, chicken tandoori breast starter and chicken tikka karahi saag with garlic naan all excellent. See you in november on our next visit

Food was excellent, service was good. Hadn't been for a lot of years and it has improved massively. Definitely one of the best Indian's in Cheltenham. Small party of four with varying tastes and everyone rated highly. Accessibility is challenging but only because of the physical building layout.

A return to The Eurasia after an absence of about two years, and they did not dissapoint! Excelent service and the food was absolutely delicious, We will return for my birthday for sure!

Called in whilst staying in Cheltenham for a couple of days. We hadn't booked but it was a Sunday so were able to get a table. Quite a few tables were taken but still space for a few more. We had 2 mains, one of which came with rice which we shared, a side and bread. All were delicious and well spiced with just the right level of chilli. Plentiful meat in each and very tender. Sometimes not the case when you have lamb. No complaints here though. Together with a glass of wine and a beer, the bill came to just over £38 which was very reasonable. Service was good, although we did feel our waiter was a little dour. This wouldn't deter us from visiting again though. We've had some very good Indian meals on our travels, some mediocre and some truly awful but this ranked amongst the better one's.

He tenido algunos platos de Balti, pero este fue el gran plato para romper el vientre que sirve en lo que solo puedo decir que era un plato del tamaño de un Wok. Toda la comida era increíble recién preparada, algunos panes sabrosos simplemente nivelados, pero el volumen era demasiado parejo para un tipo gordito como yo. Gran trabajo y gran valor y servicio con una sonrisa.

We were on a weekend away and found this restaurant tucked away in a quiet road. The food and service were excellent and the portions generous. We could have ordered a lot less. Also very good value for money. Highly recommend.

We had dinner in this restaurant on a Friday evening while on an overnight stop in Cheltenham.No reservation had been made.The staff were very polite and helpful with choosing our meal which was served promptly. The restaurant was very clean and with linen tablecloths and knapkins.The choice of food was very good. Price was very reasonable.Recommended.

Los bhajis de cebolla estaban crujientes y llenos de sabor, las samosas rellenas con el cordero de mejor sabor y la dupiaza de pollo más que deliciosa, todo era exquisito. Sumado a esto, el servicio rápido (si no excesivamente sonriente), la iluminación / ambiente inteligente y los precios extremadamente razonables (14 para poppadoms, bhajis, naan, arroz, un lado y un plato principal) y ¡simplemente no podía creerlo! ¡101% recomendado!

We’ve been getting takeaway from here for 10 years and drive 20 minutes to collect which says a lot about how good it is. The menu is traditional tandoori with a few interesting items like naga chicken thrown in. The food is always tasty and well cooked. Very occasionally the odd dish might be a touch oily or lacking in seasoning. At weekends it’s almost always full of diners, so if you’re looking for a quality, traditional tandoori restaurant owned by people who clearly care then you can’t go wrong with Eurasia. Parking can be a touch tricky locally, but there are a few residential streets nearby where you should be able to find a spot.

Terminamos aquí para cenar un viernes por la noche después de salir de una pizzería cercana debido a la ausencia de cualquier servicio. La comida era muy sabrosa y se servía en grandes cantidades, lo que nos ayudó a tener un mejor final de la noche de lo que parecía probable antes.

In the early 90's, I used to live upstairs. The owner of the restaurant was a good Guy. And the food was nice.

We dinned two nights on this years easter break.Very well presented restaurant,Table linen,Lighting etc all give you a nice feel.It is an above average Curry experiance.If you are out for a drink first, from where the bars & pubs end at the top of the high street its about a 5 to 10 min walk depending on your speed.Thank you for some very nice food.

A staple of the town since the 70's and it's still family run so the quality speaks for itself. Good food, friendly service, well priced - drinks are also well priced and not used to inflate your bill

La visita anual no me decepcionó. Me alojé en Cheltenham el día de la tienda de discos y vine a Eurasia como solemos hacer. No me decepcionó Recomiendo encarecidamente el curry de pescado de Eurasia, fue espectacular. Buena comida y sorprendentemente buen vino indio! ¿Quien sabe?

We always go here after visiting the races. Coming from Yorkshire we all like to think we know a good curry and we weren't disappointed. I had chicken tandoori breast starter which was freshly cooked and beautiful. For main I had chicken tikka tandoori saag which again was top drawer along with the saag aloo . Great night thanks see you in November when we are back down for the racing.

Had one of the nicest curry's and dining experiences here the other week. Great selection of Indian/Persian dishes and some of the nicest poppadoms I've tasted in a long while. Had the Rezala as a main course which was very good indeed. Staff friendly and courteous. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Having visited the Eurasia a few times before our daughters wanted to come with us and they were very happy with their dishes.

We live just around the corner from Eurasia and moved in a couple of years ago. We tried many of the Indians including the widely spoken about Curry Corner, which is literally on our corner. They were ok but pricey and nothing to rave about. We then discovered Eurasia and by god are we lucky to have it so close.

Pedimos una comida para llevar desde aquí y fue la peor comida que he encontrado en 40 años de comidas indias. Todas las cuatro comidas que pedimos estaban hechas de la misma salsa y eran tan poco apetecibles que las tiramos. Adjunto una foto de su idea de un pollo con ajo y chile antes de que se coloque en el contenedor. Comida asquerosa, no vayas allí.

Vinimos de todo el país para la unión de un amigo que fue fundamental para todos nosotros. Al llegar, el camarero se mostró un poco confundido cuando pedí una limonada Schweppes y me dijo que solo quería "Limonada" y luego se rió de mí. Qué maravilloso comienzo, pensé, realmente saben cómo hacer que los clientes se sientan especiales.

We came from all over the country for a friend's re-union that was central to us all. Upon arrival, the waiter seemed a bit confused when I asked for a Schweppes Lemonade and told me that I just wanted "Lemonade" and then he laughed at me. What a wonderful start I thought, they really know how to make customers feel special. I ordered a Vegetable Roll and the Vegetable Thali. I was expecting the roll to be crispy and you know spicy. Its was amazingly the complete opposite, bland and soggy. (Oh why didn't I complain!). I feared the worst for my Thali of vegetable curries. The saag was wilted spinach (an observation from across the table), the rice was cold, undercooked or just dry and the everything else was completely bland and not very warm. Complete rubbish! And I don't even want to think about how much this Thali cost. I complained about the spinach and the waiter said 'Oh, sorry'. I REALLY wish I'd asked for manager. Some of the others in the group left their meals too. If this was a good restaurant once, then they have certainly lost their way. If you know decent curry, this was not it.

Lovely choice me my partner and her parents had a 3night break in cheltenham and decide to visit Eurasia and weren't disappointed food was stunning and staff really polite will definitely return thanks eurasia

Reserved a table for 6 on the 19th October 2018. Very quiet, but food was good and the ambience was pleasant.

He estado yendo a Eurasia durante los últimos 7 u 8 años. Es un gran restaurante indio. Consistentemente buena comida. Servicio eficiente. Una buena selección de especialidades del chef, así como los favoritos típicos de la casa de curry.
