Attentive staff and good food but with limited selection. Only 1x Plaice and 1x Lamb-shank. ☹️

Popped in here for evening meal on a Sunday we were not initially told there was only a Sunday roast available but that did not matter. It was a delicious Sunday roast I had the turkey and my husband had the pork both were lovely and you do get plenty. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely recommend.

We had the most delicious meal here. The seabass was amazing. The service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Best bar, close to Woolacomb beach. Fair prices, comfortable seating indoors and out. And they're dog friendly, we went there with our Chihuahua.

WEDDING EVENING RECEPTION SEPT 2024 Richard, Sally & his Team were fantastic from the word go! Having just taken on the venue, they couldn't have given us any better service, communication and a great selection of food and drink. We hired the venue exclusively for around 60 guests, with a gorgeous buffet of homemade chill and nachos, huge delicious quiches, breaded calamari and chicken strips, loaded potatoes and crudites, to name a few. This came out hot and was very filling! We have been eating it all week, thank you for kindly parcelling up the rest. There was enough space on the balcony to watch the sun set, to cool off after our dancing. There's a cosy dancing space inside, where we set up two large speakers and our small decks, under the Tides Inn Disco ball and lights! Staff behind the bar were lovely and efficient, serving a huge selection of craft beers, French wines and a huge cocktail list! Richard and the Team were so helpful blowing up our 25 balloons and putting up some basic decor - The venue is beautiful enough! We went twice once in the evening as a couple and for Sunday Lunch with family. Both times food was excellent we were made very welcome including our dogs, who enjoyed the fuss and dog treats

After visiting Tides last year, it was always on our list to return. We were not disappointed, the garden is great with lovely views, the cushions are a hit when sitting on the benches! The food is lovely, fresh, and good produce cooked to perfection! Drinks selection is great, and the cocktails are a good hit, even adapting my Espresso martini to how I like it! The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome! This is a hit for us when visiting Woolacombe, and I'm so glad to see it's as good as the previous visits we have had! 10/10 for me.

Went to the Tides Inn for Sunday Roast today. Unfortunately it wasn't that good. Neither meat (beef or pork) nor vegetables. But service was very good. Unfortunately, no recommendation!

We booked for my sons birthday and paid a deposit to secure the table. We asked that the a la carte menu would be available as it was a Sunday and were told that it was. Turns out it wasn’t. The manager was extremely rude, and unaccommodating for a diabetic who cannot eat heavy Sunday roasts. The food was a satisfactory roast but nothing to write home about. The mussels were just warm served with stale bread, no butter or fries. In my view highly over rated, we shall not be returning!

By far the best restaurant in Woolacombe. If you are fed up with the usual choices of pizza, burger, fish and chips, which seem to be the only things available everywhere else, then head to Tides. The food is varied; fish, seafood, veggie, different meat dishes, all cooked beautifully and healthily. The place is clean, cosy, cute with its fairy lights. The staff is friendly. You will not want to return to eat anywhere else after dining here.

Had Sunday roast here this weekend. In my top 5 roasts of all time! Absolutely delicious. Even my 12 year old son remarked on how delicious the vegetables were. Lovely staff and a beautiful view. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be returning our next trip to woolacombe.

Four of us had a meal here on Thursday 25th evening, We had 2 dogs in tow. Not only was the food exceptional but the staff were exceptional too. Very accommodating, helpful and genuinely friendly. Nice restaurant inside and comfy chairs !!

I hadn't book, but able to wait 20mins and then ordered promptly as made aware of a large table was due Starter and main were excellent and staff made sure I had all that I required

Amazing place. Great food and fabulous drinks. The staff are so lovely and very friendly and welcoming. The food was so good with amazing lobster and burgers and steak. Lovely views of the beach from the balcony where you can sit and enjoy one of the fabulous cocktails! Overall fabulous.

Great dining space, didn't like how the specials were dispersed around the restaurant on chalkboards so you had to leave the tables, but other than that, the dining was great. Service was friendly and helpful, Food was excellent, I had the chicken salad. All of the ingredients were fresh, and the taste showed it. Great combination of flavours, parmesan, Caesar dressing, bacon, and well-seasoned chicken. Nice big portions too. Would dine again.

Had an amazing meal here. We ended up getting the surf and turf and enjoyed every bit of it. The view was amazing as we tucked in, it is a cozy place and made us feel comfortable and relaxed as we tucked in.

Once again we have had another meal at the tides in. This place was fantastic years ago when it first opened and the food is still as good as it started. We make sure we eat here every time we visit. Thanks as usual all

Slightly disappointed by tonight's experience. After purchasing drinks we were informed that they were not catering for walk ins for dinner due to an unexpected large party arriving and otherwise occupying the kitchen. I felt more could have been done to notify us of this change of service. There was no signage , no social media post and no proactive disclosure by the staff before we sat down. My mother is diabetic and therefore needs to eat at specific times, I had called ahead to enquire if there was availability and was not advised to make a booking. I understand the pressures of working in a kitchen but I would always strive to accommodate everyone to the best of my ability , perhaps advising of a delay in service or hold on food orders. People appreciate and are understanding of the challenges dinner service may be experiencing if there is transparency. It would not deter me from returning as the food is typically of a good quality and the general atmosphere and views are lovely also.

Called in for lunch had a very warm welcome from all the staff, food quality and service was excellent and amazing value for money. Booked in for Sunday lunch.

Probably the best dining experience in Woolacombe. With an elevated view over the bay, the balcony views (with ample setting) are to die for. The food is always top quality from a chef who has been here for many years and the service from the front of house staff is fantastic.

Had evening meal here I had Lamb and Shepherd's pie which was fantastic. My wife had Sea Bass which was very nice. Excellent service nice atmosphere. Dogs are welcome. Area in fron of a fire if you just want a drink. Would have gone back Friday night, but its closed for the next few weeks. Didnt stay there so cant comment on rooms.

We had 2 meals in the Tides Inn during our recent stay in Woolacombe: Sunday evening which obviously meant Sunday Roasts for 3 of us. Great meat and veg selection. The roasts were however surpassed on our second visit: the sharing Camembert was historic - though so large that 4 of us struggled to get through it. Seafood chowder was delicious as were the Rib Eye steak; veg galette and pasta. Staff all efficient and charming.

We ate here twice during a week’s stay in Woolacombe. The Sunday roast was amazing, great selection of vegetables, tasty and fresh! The portions were huge and really well priced. We then ate from the Al a Carte menu later in the week and were not disappointed! The restaurant has a lovely, cosy atmosphere and the food is delicious! Thank you for two great meals!

Having read the reviews we decide to pop in for lunch . Such a good decision I had the warm seafood salad and my partner had fish and chips both meals were freshly cooked and delicious. Wine choices were also excellent . A lovely restaurant and bar overlooking the sea .

We bagged a table here Saturday night thanks to bookings that hadn’t turned up. Staff were brilliant and had a long chat with the (I assume) owner about van life and the challenges for us in Woolacombe. We had the sharing Camembert which was amazing and came with a whole loaf turned garlic bread. We had mussels and a burger. Mussels were excellent and the burger was ok. Great location, lovely staff, decent food and worth a visit. We’d definitely go back, if Woolacombe were more welcoming to folk in camper vans….

Lovely deco and nice feel. Outdoor seating which looked appealing. Allow dogs. Staff busy and attentive. Food was lovely but the menu is very limited. The loaded fries we had were £12.95 but tiny in size. Pizza was great no faults there. Slightly overpriced especially the small loaded chips we had.

Had main courses & pubs All excellent. Ginger & white chocolate cheesecake very good. Nice atmosphere with non intrusive background music. Only fault was poor quality cappuccino. It lets down the otherwise excellent food

After spending a week in Woolacombe, we fell in love with this place. We visited on several occasions just for drinks and had the chance to eat twice here of an evening. The food was lovely. We had the pleasure of enjoying chowder and sea bass as well as the surf & turf, burgers, and ox cheek, all of which were beautifully presented, tasted amazing, and fresh! The selection of drinks was vast, and the cocktails were delicious. Josh, Sally, and Noah couldn't do enough for us and made us feel really welcome! I would 100% recommend this place for both dinner and drinks and can't wait to return in the future!

Went for Sunday lunch which was very tasty. A decent size portion with a lovely mix of veg. Service was quite slow considering we ordered 2 roasts as the food for these would already be prepared just needed plating up. Drinks - non alcoholic cocktails nice but expensive for what you get.

We ate here 3 yrs ago and decided it was the best roast we had ever had. Coming back was a risk...expectations were high and we were worried it might not live up to our expectations. However we have yet again been blown away by the Sunday roast. It is beyond delicious. Meat, roasties, Yorkshire pudding and 8(!), yes 8, different vegetables. The carrots are out of this world! The cauliflower cheese is exquisite. Can not recommendk this more highly.

Fantastic food with amazing service. The fish chowder was a delight. The hake was delicious. With 4 vegetarians they had a good choice and raved about the veggie warm Salads. When you book for a special occasion you want it to be good. So when it turns out to be excellent then you’ve chosen well. The Tides has a modern and friendly feel. Nice bar area and well laid out dining room. But a restaurant has to have good service, good food and varied menu. Oh, and a good chef. The Tides has a very good chef. From the scallops, to the sea bass to the Caesar salad. Truly excellent. Talk to Josh to book a table. You are unlikely to regret it.

Booked for Sunday lunch , nice warm welcome from who I assume is the owner and shown to our table straight away. A good selection of drinks available and after ordering ours they arrived quickly. Ordered our food which was the Sunday lunch and fish and chips. It wasn’t a long wait for food and it arrived piping hot and presented very well. Sunday lunch was amazing and by far the best I’ve had whilst holidaying here, portions are huge and the Yorkshire puddings are freshly made, lashings of tasty gravy as well. Hubby said the fish and chips were really good , batter on the fish was light and beautifully cooked. Waiter who served us was attentive and friendly all in all a great experience I can’t wait to come back!

Great family run pub with wonderful views in the heart of Woolacombe. We went twice last week. Great beer, excellent food ( recommend the galette and chicken and chorizo pasta in creamy sauce), good selection of wines and cocktails and friendly service

Really good food at a reasonable price. One of not many actual restaurants in Woolacombe rather than "pub that does food". Being able to book also makes it a rarity in town which is really good. Service was good but not great - this is only reason for not giving 5 stars. Another tip - the specials board was quite big when we were there, nearly doubling the menu choices! Don't be too put off of if menu looks a bit small. Perhaps the restaurant should put a few example specials boards on their website to help advertise this?

Only just discovered this amazing restaurant after my 6th visit to Woolacombe. The best Sunday roast, lovely friendly team and great beach vibe. Highly recommend.

This pub/restaurant is in THE prime spot in Woolacombe, the views from the deck are just glorious, try to get there for sunset. We only had drinks this time but found the staff friendly and engaging. Special mention to the excellent hot chocolate maker, they took a huge pride and care in creating a delicious masterpiece!! We'll defo go back for food as the menu looked excellent.
