Such a Beautiful hotel in an equally Beautiful Location. Everything was just perfect Kev and Jan where so Hospitable from the moment we walked in. The room was exquisitely laid out, Towels Complementary soaps , Tea , Coffee and Hot chocolate with ample milk and Sugar available. The bed was Comfy and the shower was wonderful. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and quiet which was exactly what we needed. Breakfast in the morning was first class fresh eggs & we where lucky to get double yolks , sausage and bacon ,mushrooms where delicious. Had a great chat with Kevin and Jan as well.. Just want to thank both of you for the wonderful time worth every penny. Thank You. Emma & Andy

The Exmoor Manor Hotel. What a fantastic home from home B&B great hosts that couldn’t have been any more helpful. Kevin & Jan were always on hand and would help with any thing you required. Very quiet location with Beautiful views and lovely walks for you and your four-legged companion who are very welcome at the Exmoor Manor. Rooms are lovely and well appointed, breakfast was Plentiful with tea, coffee, Juices, cereals, yogurts, And of course, a lovely full English Cooked breakfast, you couldn’t want for more. The Exmoor Manor also has an alcohol license selling wines and beers on the premises and I heard Kevin ordering a certain brand of beer for clients that were frequent returning guests, that had requested if he could stock this for them when they returned on there next visit. wow, great. So the motto is asked and they will try and accommodate. One sad things is Kevin & Jan have put the Exmoor Manor up for sale at a very reasonable price I think, so may not be there when I return but I’m sure the new owners will be just as accommodating in this beautiful Manor hotel bed and Breakfast. Thank you again Kevin and Jan and good luck for the future Flipper.

Can't give info on staying here only on foot and ails plus disabled access great they've got a ramp portable. But there are issues with access to toilet and 2 set's steps plus 1 small step which was very annoying but doable. Access to toilet is one big step down so be prepared. Alis are brilliant food okay but mash is packet powder I'm no expert.

We were staying at the camp site next door and thought we go to this local pub. The bar man was very rude to us and made us feel very unwelcome. We were told that we couldn't sit at a table after we ordered drinks, stating it was reserved for food only, however no one was using it.

Inhospitable host, very unwelcoming. Walked in to enquire about an evening meal to be told that they were fully booked and we had better book if we wanted a meal the following night. We asked if we could have a drink and we’re frozen out of the bar. Most unusual and unwelcoming.

We were camping next door. Initially went there for drinks, which had a good selection of cider and cask ales. The pub catered well for the kids taste of J2O and Pepsi. I was even introduced to Peachy Blinder (go and find out). Only ate there once but the food was excellent - loved my steak and the price didn’t put me off at all. Overall a decent local pub which I enjoyed visiting. Thanks for looking after us.

Stayed on 25th -26th July for my Birthday. We were met by Kevin who carried all our bags to the room, Jan showed us where everything was. They made a huge fuss of my little dog. There is enty of parking. The room was just perfect and a birthday card was in my room from everyone at Beggars Roost. What a lovely touch!. The gardens are perfect for walking the dog. The food in the pub was delicious and portions were very generous, breakfast was again delicious. Kevin and Jan are just amazing, so friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the are really lovely genuine people. You feel like you are leaving having made new friends. Arrived at the Campsite after a long journey, so we opted to eat at the Beggars , The gentleman behind the the bar was very accommodating and friendly and arranged us a table to eat . The cask ale was kept well , a good pint. The however we thought was over priced for what it was £17 . Basic Pub food small portions. But they have the monopoly as there is no where else within walking distance.

Overpriced food. Lack lustre. Very disappointing. £17 for a 'slice' of vegetarian lasagne and some skinny fries. That's it - no salad, veg, peas?? Dry, pale cheese topping. Only just very warm, not hot. Where was the slightly caramelised top layer of gooey cheese and pasta edges? Solid chunks of hard courgettes. The skinny fries were the best bit. Soooo overpriced. Like a microwave meal only sliced. Hunters Chicken, same price. Did at least have a salad effort with it. Measliest bit of chicken, with limp bacon. Prime location. Get a chef in if charging these prices for café food! Sorry but you are taking the proverbial. Won't return. Shame. And £7.50 for bog standard desert option? Didn't go there.

This was a 'spur of the moment' visit, my husband having been isolated in the house since beginning of December recovering from two broken hips. Our arrival was just before opening time, but Kevin came out to greet us. We just wanted beer and crisps but his reply was "That's fine." He was so considerate throughout our visit that we shall recommend Beggars Roost to lots of friends. Not only did he help my husband in and a seat by the fire, but when we spotted "Chicken and Mushroom pie", in spite of it being "Sunday Roast" day, chef produced it, and it was very much enjoyed. A delightful experience!

No drink or dessert included). £16 for a tiny veg lasagne and 2 pieces of dry garlic bread. Burger or Scampi was best option but again £16 Absolutely don't mind paying these prices when food is good, fresh not frozen, served warm and all comes at same time. Unfortunately none of those. Latitude is usually my favourite go to place for food. However, after my experience this week I will certainly not be returning. We had a table booked for 7pm, we ordered drinks at the bar, which we were told would be brought over so we took to our table. The drinks too so long to arrive, nobody came to take our order for at least 45mins, some of the order arrived at 7:45 (1.5hours after our table booking!!) we had to ask for cutlery, plates, and missing items! Some of the food we ordered had sold out, we were told this either one item about 35 mins after we had ordered, the other was just missing off the platter so we had to enquire where it was, and then told it had sold out. The sauce for the steak arrived after the steak had nearly been finished. All of the food was barely warm, it had been sat under a heat lamp for a long time!! And the chicken was pink (not cooked!!) service was very slow, some staff were obviously new and didn’t know what they were doing. Very disappointed, 10% was taken off the bill but it didn’t make up for such a disappointing evening. Restaurant was cold, we were sat with coats and scarfs on. Very disappointing.
