The best restaurants in Malmesbury Wiltshire South West

We had an amazing breakfast excellent quality food and wonderful service. Bought wonderful cheese and cold meats. Highly recommend a visit.

My hubby and l visited Malmesbury for the first time yesterday and looked into the cake tin shop. We realised that they sold cupcakes which by the way looked really nice so decided to buy a box of four to take home as it was our anniversary. They were delicious in fact the best l have ever tasted!!!! We will definitely be visiting this lovely shop again. Thank you to the team x

I’ve ordered here a few times now and I must say I’m always disappointed. The spicy vegetarian pizza and the vegetarian one with pesto and rocket are both covered in oil, to the point that it soaks through to the base and ruins the pizza. That said, I originally reviewed lower but the quality seems to have improved, and the menu expanded since then. The level of topping varies depending on the visit. service is exceptional.

Excellent club sandwich with chicken bacon tomato egg lettuce , side salad with lovely dressing and fries, all this for a reasonable price

Lovely food. Very friendly staff. Open until 5.30 which for afternoon tea is so rare! Next door to the Museum. Spacious inside and tables (outside south facing) too.

This is a real find. You order your coffee & cake & then go to sit in an area at the back of the Abbey. This means you get to view the amazing architecture whilst enjoying your drink. So much more interesting. I'd highly recommend the coffee & cake too.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant. The staff are friendly and efficient. Food was really tasty and good size portions. The service was spot on. We will definitely be back again soon. Thankyou 😀

The reviews suggested trying Sri Lanken options...the options were limited but I can definitely recommend. King Prawn & Cashew nut, garlic flat bread & rice was very tasty and the rice cooked perfectly. I was very disappointed to see this great historic venue was not better supported. I had a chat and they're looking to go fully Asian on the menu. I'm sure that will be very successful as Malmesbury is already good for Italian restaurants.

A really underwhelming experience. We’ve visited many times before and have generally been happy - but it feels like something has changed. The few staff working seemed bored and unresponsive. The place was pretty much empty with no atmosphere. We ordered smashed avocado on toast with crispy bacon. The plate was small, the avocado watery, the bacon dry, overcooked and tepid. And pretty expensive as well. Although it is now ‘order at the bar’ - their card payment service still prompts for a service charge (before you’ve eaten) which rankled. We won’t be back.

Great outdoor seating - fab position to watch the sun set. Nice prosecco ....and can even get a pot of tea. Just delightful on a warm day.

Been using this place alot over the years, food is good, portions are hit and miss, but delivery is absolutely diabolical, over a hour and half with maximum delivery charge too. Disappointing.
