The Cake Tin in Wiltshire

My son recently stayed here (pre-booked by the people he was visiting for an interview). He hasn’t got an account with Tripadvisor but insisted I give feedback on his behalf because he was so impressed. The staff were excellent and hospitable and the hotel was lovely. The staff were so kind and drove him to and from the train station. The whole experience certainly calmed his nerves; the Garden House will be fondly remembered and he has promised to recommend you to anyone looking to stay down that neck of the woods. Best takeaway around, even better than Nando’s. Food always hot and correct. Staff are very friendly, good service on there own site or just eat.

Called on on our way back from stone henge ..and Wow!..beautiful toasted current t cake with lovely soft butter, perfection! Great quality coffee friendly staff and fast service with a smile. Clean stylish cafe .These guys have got it right ... Rare xx

What a great find just of the A303 . Called in for a full english breakfast. Just like my old mum made with bubble and squeak. Great service with a smile . Will call in again

We do not know the city, had just arrived at 8pm and literally walked into this restaurant as it was the first we came across that was not a chain and looked like they really cooked. We had a nice welcome, but the lighting is overhead, spots set into the ceiling, providing a very harsh uncomfortable light. It was like eating in Lidl. Small rechargeable table lights would have grabs this rest. Food was wonderful- especially the trout starter. Unfortunately the waitress with all the good will in the world was not trained and did her best but was just not professional. Sweet yes, but a restaurant of this calibre and price needs professional staff, not sweet staff.
