Beautiful crusty rolls! After the recipe of crusty rolls seemed to have changed at the local supermarket, we've been looking for that meets the name 'crusty roll'. These are absolutely beautiful! Would love to see some others in like poppy seed rolls, I know the bakery would do an amazing job. Thank you! 💜

Best bakery in Malmesbury! They have the best donuts ever, make sure you go there early in the morning if you want them tho because they are so popular and they sell out like hot cakes!

There's always a queue at this place even at 0730 am 😍 amazing affordable fresh food like freshly bakes goodies and sandwiches. Bread baked on the day with no additives 👌🏽

We were passing through Malmesbury during our holidays and walking through the streets of the town we noticed this little bakery that really made you want to go in because of the beautiful products you could see from the window and the smell you could smell. We took various products including the cinnamon roll: fantastic, delicious, fresh, fragrant, abundant. In particular the cinnamon roll, the best I have ever tasted in my life! Better than those I tried in London in famous bakeries and also better than all the ones I eat in Italy where they really should learn how to make them from the baker/pastry chef at The Old Bakery! After tasting it on the street, I immediately went back to get another one but it didn't last long!! Kind and friendly staff, fair price.

The best bakery in the area! So many amazing breads, pastries and delicious sweet treats to choose from. The bacon and cheese turnovers are so yummy and they don't scrimp on the bacon!

Amazing. Popped in to grab a bite as needed some lunch and had a fresh baguette over flowing with filling. Such great value and even had pastry’s aaaaaand pizza slices. Lovely staff too and it was very busy (proves how popular the place is). Staff very pleasant. I brought cash as I presumed they did not take card however they do also take card.

This place is a must if you like quality traditional baked goods. Fresh rolls and baguettes made to order, with a range of delicious fillings and a choice of salad as well. I had a brown baguette filled with a generous portion of chicken tikka and full salad. The blonde lady that served (sorry i didnt know your name) me was happy and super helpful. The baguette tasted amazing with the tasty filling, and the bread was light and airy. I also indulged in a lardy cake that looked so good and sticky in had to have it. I can confirm that even though the baguette filled me up, I had to try the lardy and it was so good. You can see why people queue down the street for this bakery. I will be back for more tasty treats.

Such delicious sandwiches and pastries! We were visiting Malmesbury and needed a quick bite. We even went back for seconds after our walk. We got the beef and veggie pastry, veggie pastry, mixed cheese sandwich, and coronation chicken sandwich. All was superb and prices were very reasonable.

Ordered a bacon sandwich on white bread, I was served what is hands down the worst bacon sandwich I have ever encountered! 2 slabs of bread sliced from a crusty loaf the size of encyclopaedias and in between the encyclopaedias was 1…. Yea you read that right 1 slice of cold bacon! Absolutely flabbergasted why a bacon sandwich with that much bread was served with one cold slice of manky bacon! For £3 I think it was too! Absolutely disgusting and will not be returning!

Great range of cakes, filled rolls and sandwiches. I'm here 3 or 4 times a week. My favourite is the olive sourdough bread, delicious and lasts for ages.

Good service and product as always

All the team from Hyams Autos use the Old Bakehouse on a regular basis and particularly enjoy the bacon rolls, served by the polite and helpful staff. There is a great choice of filled rolls, savouries and cakes all of which keep us going through the working day!

In my opinion this is the best bakery in malmesbury. The bread is freshly made in house. The cakes and treats are really nice too but they do lack cakes with fresh cream in them.

Closed suddenly then re opened with extremely limited offering not baked on premises. A loss of what was a great bakery.

We called in at this bakery because of the lovely window display of cakes and bakes. Once inside I was taken back to my childhood. It felt like I was a child again, no fancy cupcakes full of icing, or salted caramel this that and the other. This bakery was full of goods and treats that were once plentiful and common place. Chelsea buns, rock cakes and the like! We bought as much as we could eat in one day - and that was a lot! Best things? The double Belgian buns and rock cakes!! Would love to return to buy more! The staff who served us were very helpful and informed and were patient with our babbling reminiscences - It was a delight to shop here and the goods were delicious - don’t drive through Malmesbury without stopping! Please bakehouse, don’t be tempted to go all modern and make cupcakes etc. Stick to good old baking!

Great filled sandwiches and baguettes . They have a large range of very tasty fillings to choose from.

Lovely food but service not as lovely. Grumpy staff who gave the impression we were interrupting their day to ask for food! It's a shame as the food and price are so good. Training on how to service with a smile and kindness would help.
