The best restaurants serving British food in Malmesbury Wiltshire South West

My hubby and l visited Malmesbury for the first time yesterday and looked into the cake tin shop. We realised that they sold cupcakes which by the way looked really nice so decided to buy a box of four to take home as it was our anniversary. They were delicious in fact the best l have ever tasted!!!! We will definitely be visiting this lovely shop again. Thank you to the team x

This is a real find. You order your coffee & cake & then go to sit in an area at the back of the Abbey. This means you get to view the amazing architecture whilst enjoying your drink. So much more interesting. I'd highly recommend the coffee & cake too.

I arrived early one morning without a reservation. There was a room available and the front desk was extremely accommodating and I was able to check in early. Beautiful room, quiet, and great location beside the Abbey. I had a wonderful conversation one morning with a gentleman in the dining room who has worked for The Old Bell for 17 years. Great stories and wonderful to hear of the improvements by the current owner. Great area for walking and beautiful Cotswolds towns and villages close by. I would definitely return should I find myself in the area.

Great outdoor seating - fab position to watch the sun set. Nice prosecco ....and can even get a pot of tea. Just delightful on a warm day.

Visited for lunch with a friend. Impressed by layout of eating area, very clean and welcoming looking. Our waitress was extremely friendly, polite and efficient. The food was perfect, lovely fresh sandwiches with a treat of a bowl of chips . Very good value , would highly recommend and will now make this a regular lunch stop!
